By the way, I love the game reports. That's one of my favorite things to read in these forums, whether you've won or lost because it allows us to get a glimpse of how your deck plays out. So thanks for that.
On a different note, have you considered Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx? In my deck, I have 41 B symbols, so it's an easy inclusion for me. What do you think would be the margin of mana symbols to consider using it?
Thanks for posting your game reports! That's one of my favorite things to read in the MTG forums, so thanks for that, truly. I wish there were more game reports from other posters, hint hint
As for adding Decree of Pain, good luck man. I swear that's the hardest thing about this format. I would recommend cutting another removal spell since you seem to be well-balanced in other aspects of your deck. Maybe Sheoldred, Whispering One? Or Collective Voyage?
EDIT: Also, in your Buried Alive chain in game 2, I assume that you meant you grabbed Ooze, Devourer, and Trike (instead of Mike)? I don't see how you would win otherwise...
I actually just edited the decklist, and Dark Petition got the cut. I count only 13 instants and sorceries combined, including it. I'm looking for this to be a more creature based deck I realize, which is fine. So I'm looking for creature substitutes for most of the cards that I can.
Question for you: have you considered Mirror-Mad Phantasm? Consider it like a blue Hermit Druid effect, and it could be quite effective at making your 'yard massive for Sedris' ability or a big Living Death.

After a while away from the Magic scene, it's good to see that this thread is still active. It's one of the first ones I check whenever I get on here because the conversations are usually on point.
So, I introduced my wife to Magic and she's very good. Which is awesome, but that's an aside. Anyways, in my search to make her a decent 60 card pile, I came across this card called Moldgraf Monstrosity. Has it already been considered and dismissed because it's random reanimation or otherwise not a good card? I would think that the random-ness is less negative because you're prolly going to be reanimating some big fat thing. It does have to die in order for it to happen, which is pretty situational in EDH, what with all the exile effects running around. It seems decent and has big stats to attack with.
@ashep01
Hmm. A mainly mono-Black Tasigur list. I think that you would lose out SIGNIFICANTLY if you don't build your deck to take advantage of Tasigur's excellent card advantage ability. And if you're going to take advantage of either blue or green, they're arguably the two best colors in EDH. Of course, you could do a mostly mono-Black list with just a few splash cards to take advantage of the colors that Tasigur gives you. I'll brainstorm a rough list and come back and post my ramblings.
