From reading around on this it seems like Pack Rat is a decent card in this kind of deck. Each copy adds to devotion as it is a copy instead of a token. They can also get pretty big and you can discard your "pointless" cards to it, like extras of the legendary cards.
Sometimes, this card can go all the way on its own. If you get it down early against control and keep them off Verdict and such with Duress/Thoughtseize. 3x 3/3's are scary. 4x 4/4's are even scarier.
People keep trying to jam Purphoros. I am pretty sure Heliod is just better. A vigilance Boros Reckoner is no joke. Heliod gives you something to do with your extra mana at the end of the opponents turn as well. Purphoros is cute, but I think he is mostly hype. I think Heliod will be much better against control as well.
Can this turn into more of an aggro control? Creatures with ETB abilities instead of just being beaters to abuse the initiative move. The curve can even top out a bit higher with Assemble and Elspeth without worrying that your creatures will be pointless later in the game.
I think it is a mistake to run the God in a deck built around pyromancer. I think the god will be much better in all in red where you just lay down a bunch of 1-2 cmc creatures and beat as fast as possible. The deck has trouble closing out the game and the god fits perfectly to fix that. Late game when your small creatures can't get through those last 4-6 damage, you can just have the god in play and get your creatures onto the board, no need to attack.
The idea that White removal in the form of enchantments is more efficient than Black removal just because White spells are typically lower casting cost is really stupid given that White removal (enchantments) can be killed later in the game in order for the opponent to get his/her stuff back. Black removal is a little more permanent. I would also put a lot less value on removal in the form of enchantments given that this is an enchantment set/block so there will be far more enchantment killing cards played.
I like how devotion can be put onto an artifact to make it so it needs to be played with a certain color deck. Not that we will see that happen, but its a neat possibility anyway.
Maybe gods will be like the old Vanguard cards from back in the day. They had some effect on the game but could not be gotten rid of. Like a little personal rule change that you start the game with.
I also really like the idea of them being like Commanders that have an ability when they are exiled.
I don't understand what either of you mean when you say "behave". Cards work however wizards want them to work. Also, I hated haunt, but it was just another example of how things like this have had similar things in the past.
It doesn't even matter. I just think grandeur will be back in some way.
I am going to also say Grandeur. New name and changed so that instead of discarding the card, you play it onto the creature as an aura for some ability. The Creature and the Aura can be on the front/back of the card like the current flip cards.
-There will be 2 returning keywords, one the same and one re-tweaked/renamed.
-There will be a returing future sight card.
-There will be a mechanic used only on a card in future sight that will return throughout Theros.
They are separate spoilers.
But that does not rule out that the "mechanic used only on a card in future sight" is not one of the "returning keywords". Also, they can bring back Grandeur and not reprint any of the original Grandeur creatures. The "returning future sight card" could be some very generic reprint.
There was also speculation somewhere about a possible return of the "snow" mechanic and the reprinted time shifted card would be Centaur Omenreader as centaurs and omens are very in flavor for the "greek" style.

It loves Thundermaw too but it doesn't stop him from wrecking faces.
Also, the white god can make its own creatures.
Edit: My terrible brain fart.

I don't see why it would be so different from the Haunt ability. They could even use the 2 sided card template to represent both different effects.
