The inverted man Once there was a man that was not right
Ok, let's clear everything up. The reasons why wotc did that:
1. Enchant ~Thing~ was the only type of card that didn't say what it was. It was an enchantment, but didn't say it anywhere. It wasn't a creature, but said creature in it's type box.
2.It was the only type of card that targeted without saying so.
3.It didn't follow the model used by every other card: [supertype] [type] - [subtypes]
4. They want to remove subtypes with implicit rules. They did it with walls, with legends, and now with enchant ~stuff~. An enchantment aura doesn't say anything about the card, just like equipment. They just do anything because of keywords in them (enchant ~stuff~ and equip)
So now almost nothing changed, it's the same cards that do the same stuff. The only changes are cards like tallowisp and rootwater shaman and that is slightly worse (because it targets an aura with enchant creature, so it can't fetch cards with enchant white creature for example) and nomad Mythmaker is a little better, because now he can target an aura that enchant a creature, so it can be an aura with enchant creature, enchant permanent or enchant artifact or enchant land if they are of those types too.
Also someone has pointed some new possibilities, like make an enchantment creature, that wasn't possible (or at least very difficult) to do with the old wording.
Enchant creature / enchantment creature -> confusion
Now, a serious question: If nothing has changed, why some much complaints? Come people, it's just a word, ignore it and everything stays the same (unless you want your Tallowisp to fetch a Mind Harness of something)
