  • published the article What Legacy Will Dissension Have?
These articles are my favorite to write -- full of nothing but speculation on what cards could/should/would see play in different formats. Legacy is a format whose vast card pool is matched only by that of Vintage. This provides many problems with Legacy, as there are not as many people trying to break the format as there are in Vintage, Extended, and Standard. This article will give a small insight into the could/should/would cards of Dissension for Legacy.

Every Magic: the Gathering player owns at least one budget deck. What is a budget deck? Well, it’s a deck that on paper doesn't cost a arm and a leg to trade and buy for. Different people have different theories on what is a budget deck. I've heard people say it's $20, others it's $100. I say it's $50 give or take 5 dollars each way to make a fun and some what competitive budget deck. Rarely do Budget decks ever win Grand Prix or Pro Tours, but they can win FNM which is the most common Magic outing and where most of us play.

With last year's great showings at the Legacy World Championship, Wizards gave Legacy two Grand Prix this year. The first Grand Prix took place in the town of brotherly love: Philadelphia, PA. Goblins came out strong as many people thought it would have, but that GP many decks had coming out parties with Threshold, Rifter, Homebrew, and Salvager game all making the top 8.

The Super Bowl is the single largest sporting event in the United States and one of the biggest in all the world. For 40 years, the game has been a staple in the American calendar year. For the first time in Super Bowl history the Pittsburgh Steelers and Seattle Seahawks will meet. The teams have traveled down two different roads, but will meet head-to-head on Feb 5th at 6:00pm EST on ABC.

For Richer or Poorer is to show the way of legacy. It's for people who don't know what decks to build or what decks they can afford. I thought, being both a legacy and a budget guy my self I should shed some insight on my peers of MTG salvation.
