What did I do? Not much, I didn't plan a party. My sister and a friend and I went out. We ended up at Future's with cheesecake.

But we were at one point in a bar with videos of men masturbating playing on the walls so that counts for something.

And I ate unhealthy food. I don't tend to like unhealthy food, but for some reason that day I was thinking, I could really go for some pizza and chicken wings. It was nice because everyone let me choose things.

And while we were walking (maybe it was the, hm, half hour? between Church/Wellesley and Future's, seemed like hardly any time at all) there was a huge blizzard, the biggest one so far for sure, and it was all very magical. We sang "Let it Snow..." and danced about as we travelled.

And for a gift my sister gave me ETERNAL LIFE.

Recently I've noticed that whenever I talk to a guy in the closet I end up trying to convince him to come out. How should I convince people to come out if it is a good thing to try to do? What do you guys think of forceful 'outings' like those some celebrities have had to go through? (I don't think it's a good idea personally.)

I have second-hand experience with youngsters dating oldsters, and what it comes down to is this: you have to ask yourself what you want out of this relationship (assuming all goes ideally). Do you really want a long term relationship with a guy who will be retiring in fifteen years? I don't actually know how old you are, but you should be asking yourself if you want a longterm relationship.

And if the answer is yes, you don't mind that idea, then go ahead by all means. But if the answer is no, as it would be with me, then you have to make that very clear to him.

That's not quite true. You can continue a relationship you don't expect to last more than a few years without him knowing that. But eventually you will want to leave him, and he'll be heartbroken, and you'll have led him on.

EDIT: Oh by the way it was my birthday two days ago so y'all have to wish me a happy birthday.

What I do have is one picture. Thoughts?
This is the only reason I might ever be into big sports.
That said, this guy looks more like a model than a player and if it's an outdated uniform it might just be a photo-shoot.

    2.) Homosexuality‎ [1,522,144]

WARNIG WARNIG: what I am about to say, if you will have it, may be the start of a relatively heavy discussion. Ain brings up this list as a joke, and it is amusing, but I begin to read the Conservapedia article on homosexuality.

As you might expect, most of it is biased garbage. It is all "sourced" but the sources are often the bible or fundamentalist publications and such. Another thing which should be considered when reading all of the statistics they use to argue that homosexuality is not genetic but environmental, and that it is bad, is that negative public opinion of homosexuality affects the statistics.

For instance, it is mentioned that there is a much lower incidence of homosexuality in strictly fundamentalist communities (i.e. Hassidic Jews), which would suggest that homosexuality is environmental BUT THAT opinion of homosexuality in such groups is so harsh that a homosexual is that much more likely to repress their true feelings.

ALL THAT SAID, I think a fair reading of the article does still raise a couple questions:

Domestic violence in homosexual relationships is much higher than in straight ones. This seems to be true; the sources seem to be good. Some suggest the rate is as much as twice as high. Why is this?

The second is a bit more complex in the asking. Talk of homosexuality tends to focus on gay men. News stories about homosexuals tend to be about gay men, studies about homosexuals tend to be about gay men. The so-called "gay lifestyle" is something I've never heard associated with lesbianism. Why is this? Let's call the reason A!
Many of the 'criticisms' of homosexuality brought forth by, well, the bigots under question come down to the idea that homosexuality is linked with promiscuity (and that promiscuity is bad). Is this a true link? If there is some truth to it, is the reason for that simply A?
Part of the reason, as I understand it, for the perceived promiscuity of the gay community (generalizing here natch) is that it is not possible for many **** to bring home a boyfriend, and to continue a lasting relationship in fear of outing. When faced with sexual drive and an inability to maintain a sexual relationship, many partners is the result.
One specific example was that, in some study that's twenty-three years old, "all" of the double-male couples which had been together for more than five years had some provision for extra-relationship sex. Is this a result of the different nature of female and male sexualities, and/or of a gay couple's increased mutual understanding of eachother's sexualities?

Maybe I should also ask: do you think promiscuity is bad? I assume most of you would like to settle down with an ideal soul mate at some point, but in the meantime?

While we're on the subject, I'll talk about my 'coming out.'

But first, you'll need some of my philosophy. My philosophy is this: in a perfect world (haha) nobody would make assumptions about other people's sexual orientations. You should never assume.

So the thing is this: my bisexuality isn't a secret. It's merely something that often doesn't come up. I don't see why I should proclaim it to you, unless I view you as a potential sexual partner, or it comes up in conversation for some other reason. Perhaps because I'm telling you about how much I enjoyed the BBQ BBQ, or because that guy is really hot. Within this idea, the act of 'coming out' doesn't make sense. It suggests that you are exposing a fact previously a secret.

And since I almost never make statements of the form, 'that person is hot,' my family didn't really know about my sexual orientation.

I admit that this philosophy doesn't quite make sense when applied to the modern world rather than that 'perfect world' I was talking about above. But here in the wealthy and liberal world, it's worked for me so far; and I think that employing it will do a small part toward bringing us to that superior state of things.

So back to the thrust of my post: how it happened. I encourage my friends and family to read my blog. After my highschool prom (I was dateless), I wrote a report of it on my blog immediately upon getting home. When people asked about it, I just said "read it on my blog" because I knew that my memory at that moment was better and more complete than it would be later. So it was with my mother.

I was in my room and she read the report. She came upstairs to my room and asked me if I was trying to tell her I was gay. I said no that was not my intention, but that it's true I am bisexual. She came back some minutes later and said she had talked to dad about it and that everything was okay. This did not surprise me, and I went on with my life just as I did before. My parents hardly treat me any different, except that when dad makes jokes about how the ladies must throw themselves at my feet, or how I should be on the lookout for prospective mates, he occasionally includes lads and boys in the mix.

I don't remember what it was that I said in my prom report that made my mother think I was telling her I was gay.

EDIT: I did some research and found the bit of my prom report that probably tipped her off. It's quite a bit more blatant than I expected. I am talking about what to do with my hair, which was at the time very long, it is now very short.

"I'd been taking suggestions as to what to do with my hair for some time. My default plan was just to let it down, out of a ponytail. I knew I could do that, no matter what, and it didn't involve an appointment with a barber. And I only know of one gay barber in Oshawa. The Italians are straight and married, my mother claims.
Anyway, there were no suggestions for hair which I really liked. Obviously, I didn't want something too gay, just mostly gay. A gay barber would understand. But I couldn't think of anything to do with my hair, so I just let it down."

Creativity: Well obviously anyone with any kind of creative talent is gay. Or Jewish.
Vladimir Horowitz is the one who said "There are three kinds of pianists: Jewish pianists, homosexual pianists, and bad pianists." People cite this as evidence that he was gay.

Which is pretty idiotic because he was Jewish.

BTW The Dallas Pride Parade is Sunday. This will be the first one I ever go to. What should I wear?!
Last Hallowe'en I was at the parade at Church and Wellesley and I saw a guy wearing a big milk-carton costume: a giant red carton of milk. And it said: "Homo milk." Haw haw haw.

I am shorter than everyone who has posted their height, something around a hundred and fifty-five, and I love it! I can wind my way through crowds much faster than my taller friends, and to try and comprehend the difference in how much money I will spend on food in my life to how much a guy who's six-foot-five would is staggering.

I can't even get a plant to live more than a year. My poor Jade Tree plants.
My mother has a jade tree that her mother once had that is fifty years old!

    That just died!

You say your fish had a good life. Did he procreate? Because trapped in a sexless cage, even an all-you-can eat nicely cool and predator-free cage, does not sound good to me.

My parents have a canary in a cage. It sings nicely enough. Which is of course because no matter how hard he sings no female canary is going to find him to let him make babies. Worse, his wings have atrophied and he can't fly. That's just about the saddest thing ever.

I'm not an argumenitive person, but arguing with people seems to be a sport around here, and in forums in general. I have a psychological philosophy about these type of people but I'll stop there.
I'd like to hear your philosophy on the subject, and I promise not to eat you about it.
