Yeah everyone keeps talking about that bug, but no one has calculated the likelihood of faithless looting into madness card and hollow one without street wraith or open red mana to cast temper. It’s low. It affects very few games. I have played three leagues without it coming up.
Congrats on your result. I am perhaps the biggest Burning Inquiry fan out there, so I took the deck for a spin in the friendly leagues, getting a 2-3. Ouch! I'll still keep trying it out; there are a few tricky decisions to make along the way.
Interesting approach LeDrazi, never thought of including Angler. And what's nice is Golgari Thug can let you draw him if he gets milled. Recently, I had a horrible night for Dredge (0-3-1), lost to Fish, ETron and Abzan. The deck either fizzled to dredge anything relevant or failed to dredge a key 4 of card when I needed it to win.
I’ve seen a few lists here and there in Vintage and Legacy play it in the sideboard, figured it’d be somewhat decent in modern. It’s great at walling their TKS and Smashers as I’m beating them with flyers. And yes, Thug makes Angler even better.
Vintage sides make me want to play 4 hollow one, 2 gurmag angler in my side.
The SCG Open this weekend is Modern. I'm not sure if anyone knew it, was just too busy elsewhere, or didn't care.
A friend told me that Jund was the only undefeated deck on Day 1 (although I personally saw 2 9-0s).
Bant Eldrazi was the other. Both are blasts from the past!
Also, Goblins was listed in the day 2 metagame! I would love to see a list. When Grixis Shadow and UW Control were ruling the roost, I was able to sneak in two trophies in competitive leagues. Now that the meta has transitioned to more scapeshift, eldrazi, and storm, I can barely maintain fifty percent.
Off the bat, I'd drop a Mountain for a Steam Vents with that main deck Slip Through Space and only 8 ways to cast it.
How often is Monastery Swiftspear getting there? I used to play them in the Rakdos, Grixis, and Jund builds I used to play, but I ended up replacing them (or at least 2 of them) with Flamekin Harbingers. Sometimes in removal heavy events I'd play 13 creatures, with 2 Harbingers and 3 Swiftspears, but even then I just hoped Swiftspear would take an early hit.
Spark of Creativity and the upcoming Rile from Ixalan got me excited to brew with this and Dirty Red again. I think in the absence of Gitaxian Probe I am more interested in playing Desperate Ritual lists, but I am always up for some Nivmagus action.
I struggled with generating red mana while going off, and so I experimented with Pentad Prism and Chromatic Sphere (draws a card through grave hate) and felt like the deck ran better. Also you need 1 Grapeshot and/or Burst of Speed so you don't just lose after going off. The first cards I'd look at dropping are Warrens, 1 Ascension, 1 Revival, and trimming Rituals.
I'm surprised that you didn't see any UWx control, Noble Hierarch, or Eldrazi decks, but other than that, I would agree that it is hard to grind Dredge on MTGO. Actually it has been for a while.

Sudden shock kills many things but not baral.
Originally, the Devils were Jesters, and that would be the cut I'd make to put Jesters back in.
