If you run lifeline it might be worth considering Silence the Believers. Lets you still take care of nasty stuff on the board and if you ever can generate a bunch of mana it could act as a one sided board wipe...
Hey, I have a pretty similar list with minor modifications for my meta, however I'm not running any the full tutor package for budget reasons. Any suggestions on cheaper alternatives? I'm thinking of just including some draw spells?
Crux was a budget choice, since I can't afford Damnation. And yea scapeshift->valakut should be one win con, but for me scapeshift -> Ob Nixilis, the Fallen also hits hard, or scapeshift -> Retreat to Hagra.
I think if you wanted you could speed your list up. My deck often wins by drawing a ton of lands either from the graveyard with Creeping Renaissance or from my deck with Ad Nauseam then droping them all into play at once with Manabond or chucking them to Seismic Assault.
With the new cards from Kaldesh I feel like i can finanlly make Mishra how I always wanted. Here is my deck list: Mishra's Machinations.
I'm trying to keep it under $200 and avoiding infinite combos. Would love some advice on card selections. Basic stragety is to stick a Reckless Fireweaver or Marionette Master then start looping artifacts from the graveyard.
Which of the lists you have do you think have the most potential to be converted into a budget list? I love the deck idea but would like to try and keep it under $100.
Yasova Dragonclaw is crazy fun, but I think people focus too much on the steal mechanic. List in my sig is old but my list is now just a super agro deck that occasional steals stuff for extra aggro and removing a blocker.
The deck I can't seem to ever make is an Astral Slide deck focused on fliping Morph creatures. I've tried building different lists with Zur the Enchanter to tutor Slide, or Zedruu the Greathearted to do funny things like donate morph creatures then flicker them back to me.
Every time i make a list i come to the conclusion that it is just too janky. Would love to hear that i'm wrong though
Tokens could be sacced to Polymorph for possibly hitting some of the reanimation targets as well. And if it wiff's you just recast with Dralnu, which seems hilarious.
I mainly recommend Crystal Shard as it protects your commander from any burn or board wipes. Also I plan on running a list with a few more token generators like Dark Salvation & Cryptbreaker, So westvale might work better for me. Bitterblossom is an expensive card but is pretty amazing at making chump blockers and dying to skull clam's if you are looking to survive the early game more.
Another card i would consider is Crystal Shard. Gives all your creatures a little protection and in rare cases when opponents tap out you can bounce their creatures. I'm probably going to try building a deck similar to this but with a little more jank to it haha. Things like Westvale Abbey seem like decent cards to close out a game.
Maybe not a full decklist, but possibly some budget options for some of the more expensive cards like [Linvala, Keeper of Silence[/card], Gaddock Teeg, Stoneforge Mystic and the Swords, ect. Basically anything over the $10-$15 range.
Love that other people are rocking a similar deck to me. Probably going up update my list to include the Retreat's, complete forgot the back one exists.
The reason I run Xira is to protect my Life from the Loam. Anything like Bojuka Bog can run you, so having instant speed draw on a stick to trigger dredge can be huge.
Some cards I run that have worked great for me:
Squandered Resources - great for making tons of Titania 5/3 or drawing a ton of cards from Gitrog. Also great for making a ton of mana to cast Creeping Renaissance twice (some times more) in a turn. Mizzium Mortars - pretty good at dealing with lots of little tokens which I have had trouble with, Might try switching out for Pyroclasm but for now its solid. Maelstrom Pulse - also great for dealing with lots of tokens Blighted Fen - This thing is nuts with Loam going. Animist's Awakening - This card surprised me with how good it has been. I won 1 game by sacing all my lands to Squandered Resources, using elixir of immortality to shuffle them back in and playing this for a crazy amount (i think X was 40-50).
