I played a zombie build last night for fun, kind of similar. It had abrupt decays and lotleth trolls, but also had blood artist in there, which can be so fun for opponents to kill your zombie and watch their life slowly drain away. then for fun, i put in two killing wave (one of my favorite all-time cards) and watch people do a double take and try do to the math. It just makes games fun!
BTW, went 2/2 in a fairly competitive meta last night, and I know there are a couple cards I want to take out, but lotleth troll + diregraf collosus is way fun. I love discarding zombies to troll and swinging, then casting a huge diregraf collosus. Then if any of them happen to be a gravecrawler, recur that bad boy too. so much fun.
BTW, i played ZERO relentless dead, i don't think it is a particularly good card. the hype is real.
depends, oblivionedone, if you are presenting this as strong conjecture or a true "spoiler". Strong conjecture is based on your knowledge of the game, insight into what wizards want to do, etc etc. a true "spoiler" would indicate direct knowledge of something that will happen, no questions asked.
Really, i prefer the former to the latter. anyone can receive a tip, but someone that loves the game and presents a very likely possibility has my respect while someone with advanced knowledge that shouldn't should, in my opinion, just keep his mouth shut and let wizards do the spoiling.
I think it would be interesting to do a no reserve list "Eternal" format. Or it could be that modern turns into eternal and a new modern (with the current card frame) replaces the old modern. I like the dichotomy of fetches--in Eternal you have both, but in new modern you only have the new frame.
Anyway, some interesting things to think (speculate) about.

Why is no one playing Vexing Devils in the Varolz list? I mean, I get that Death's Shadow is also good, but the devils also gives you some conditional reach. Any thoughts?
Swords to Plowshares is one of my favorite all-time cards. I played with it in revised and it has one of the best flavors of any card and it is such a powerful card in any format. I have about 60 of them from various editions, but no beta or alpha unfortunately. Anyone out there have one I could beg off ya?
