Always love to read about other people's collection of the lore, well done!
And though Amonkhet was not as developed, it succeed in making people feel for the world, curious for its history. The last line of the chapter Endure gave me goosebumps.

Very enjoyable read, thanks!
Heliod behaved very "white" in the story. White is the color of authority and rules, at times to the point of rigidity and tyranny. Heliod considered himself the big daddy of Gods, thus his position is not to be challenged, be it power or knowledge, even if such position was self-imposed by his ego.
Looking at Amonkhet gods after seeing their Theros counterparts, gotta say I much prefer worshiping the Amonkhet denizens, Theros Gods dastardly immaturity serves as good lessons and awful acquaintances, except perhaps Kruphix and Athreos. -

I guess with cards like Bitterblossom it works? I do agree though, Contamination is incredibly fun to play with if you enjoy locking everyone out of the game!
I suggest Contamination after seeing your list because you have high number of mana artifacts to support that strategy. I also noted about the budget restriction, but it seems like a viable upgrade when the deck comes to it.
In one of my successful usage of Contamination, I equip Daxos with Skullslamp and Gift of Immortality then drop Contamination, each turn I recur Daxos to draw cards and quickly found mana rocks I need to maintain that lockdown. Daxos being the underdog tends to deviate attention away from me till it happens. -
Jul 13, 2017cyberium_neo posted a message on Treasure Cruisin' with Daxos EnchantressMy most difficult time with Daxos is the moment it comes out before it earns its first exp counter. I either cast him late or use cards like Angelic Renewal to keep him alive (also greatly combos with Sun Titan).Posted in: Articles
If theres room (budget wise), I'd also add Contamination. -

Jun 20, 2017cyberium_neo posted a message on Chandra, Gideon, and the Purifying FireConflict from within, yeah, but the Origins depicted stories where conflicts were mostly put on the main five instead of they themselves had some awakening inside, except perhaps Liliana. It is also a lot harder to be compassionate and understanding in trying moments than negative emotions.Posted in: Articles

Jun 20, 2017cyberium_neo posted a message on Chandra, Gideon, and the Purifying FireHe could just mind trick the person to give him anything, so unless his telepathy is taxing, he has no need of money ever. The Origins were all trying to paint the characters to be misunderstood or abused victims, which is the most juvenile style of writing.Posted in: Articles
I remember a commenter of manga said, "Why is it that all super power has to be awaken via negative emotions? Why can't someone suddenly develop superpower via happiness or compassion?" -

For example, Jace erased his mentor's mind out of rage, which led to him erasing his own to escape guilt, is more likable than him battling his teacher who used him to earn... money? -

I gain control of Celestine temporarily with Threaten, attack with her, gain life then revive a Merciless Executioner. Assuming she's my opponent's only creature, I can choose to give her back first then apply her trigger revival, then Executioner's trigger would force my opponent to sacrifice her, correct?
Good to know that, it actually helped me understand other Saga as well. Thx!
If I turned BfB into a zombie token with Anikthea, and then BfB's last chapter triggers, do I get to clone BfB again prior to sacrificing the saga?
Thank you for your answer. That's certainly a good rule to prevent endless transform per turn.
1) The front says, "You may cast the copy without paying its mana cost. If you do, convert Soundwave." Does it still convert even if I chose not to cast the spell?
2) What happens when a trigger on one of the face trigger multiple times? For example, when I damage more than one opponents with my tokens while having Sonic Spy in play.
I agree with you on this. I love her mantle is made of broken mirrors.
So here is Ashiok, hiding on Eldraine. I'd think Ashiok would be on New Phyrexia to witness the end of Norn, or perhaps Ashiok was, just planeswalked to Eldraine right after.
Ashiok and Oko are made for each other. The greatest fear of any sensible people is "betrayal", and the two love those.
If there are multiple triggers at the beginning of end step, some with draws (like Monarch), I presume I can stack the triggers so by the time I resolve EoA I get more tokens?
I attack with a creature equipped with Sword, deals 2 damage to Mastermind and draw a card, does my opponent gets to draw a card before Mastermind dies?
If a 2/2 soldier paired with Paladin, then it attacks and deals first strike damage to Red Dragon. Red Dragon deals 2 damage to kill Paladin.
Will the soldier still deal a second attack or no? My guess is no.
I honestly would've preferred that. The original invasion was great because it left a very bitter taste, this one is a fairytale by comparison. Death on its own doesn't become a good tragedy, it's the part about dashing hope (Chandra) that makes the stake high.
Will they start a Roman prosecution of Elspeth, Daughter of Serra? Tibalt is too dead to give a kiss. (Again, what a waste.)
Yet, they're doing a Lord of the Rings set. *Eyeing Frodo*
Zhalfir without red though? Very odd.
"she drives the pommel of her golden sword INTO the back of Nissa's head"
A weapon inside another person's head, regardless of sharpness, usually means death. Maybe I read it too literally?
Heliod being killed within a sentence is just rough, and while Kaya is a skill ghost-killer she was also facing a god, something that stays alive by the power of its followers. Making Theron gods so vulnerable to one mortal, a cut on their "ethereal" throat, is just... I don't know, lame? It's like how Ob Nixilis just swoop in on Capenna and suddenly defeated all five families with ease.
And where's Caberetti?
Being the smartest Phyrexian, Jin certainly picked the worst time to rebel. Plot armor much?
Elspeth pierced Nissa's head from behind, that'd kill most phyrexians on the spot, and somehow she was alive for days to be cured? I suspect this is WotC's compensation for killing Chandra-Nissa relationship, back in the days when the company had less courage.
Melira, being the cure and prevention of Phyresis, never had any chance to shine until her death. You'd think with all the invention rebels came up with they would've alchemically create a cure out of her now. Admittedly, I find it poetic that Karn gave up his spark on Zhalfir and will resides there, a plane from the first invasion with his best friend. We just need Jhoira there.
As much as I'm happy to see Ajani alive and well, it does the story a disservice, much like how DC/Marvel kills off characters but always revive them, readers will stop feeling for the loss.
WotC should stop building climaxes for a set then end it with such luke warm finale.
