Not sure where to post this and I'm notpositing anything but I find it interesting the shapes the headron pieces from the BFZ Symbol make when you play with them a little. It kinda looks familiar, but agin it could mean nothing..

:c this is driving me crazy! anyone have any idea when Origins previews begin? Or at least, when we may expect some revelations on this product?

No. It isn't. There are Many things he might have done to her to make him feel guilty. There are many reasons Wizards could come up with. Positing Nahiri as being vampirized by Sorin as the only logical option is the worst kind of speculating (no offence) as there are so many unknowns still.

I was wondering if you guys think Wizards would print lesser known and more specifically possibly alive planesealkers. By this I don't mean merely commandwalkers who are featured but might have no bearing on future storylines but rather walkers who could, you know, show up. Walkers Like Tessebik, Masrath, Parcher, Sandruu, and Meshuvel. Would there be any support for such appearances, or would it be....eh, meh?

Ahh, old Parcher. A single mention in one book, and you keep coming back Smile

The reason is... why on Earth shall they? There is a long line of walkers who could be given their card now, when Teferi and Freyalise got theirs. From what you have written - no more words on Parcher. Meshuvel is almost the same case as him - a single mention in one paragraph.

Tessebik and Masrath are from a single Savor the Flavor article from Matt Cavotta, that nobody even remembers.

Now, Sandruu. Perhaps the most probable of what you presented, but still - no mention on cards altogether. And they already kind of did Zedruu as a nod to him (for those very informed).

There are far more known characters that should be given walker cards. Lord Windgrace, for example. Quite a handful of cards referring or depicting him. Same goes for Bo Levar and/or even Commodore Guff. The "family" of Taysir, Kristina and Daria. Taysir has no card or picture despite being the strongest pre-rev walker, but he and Daria have some flavors in Homelands. Daria is on Aura Blast. Feroz and Serra. Leshrac and Tevesh Szat. And I can go further. Yes, they are all dead, but so is Freyalise, and it would make far more sense than any of the obscure characters above.

Perhaps you do not understand the reason for this post. This is NOT a thread for Requesting Dead or no longer-planeswalker status walkers. Some of those you have mentioned may still fit what we are looking for but the whole point of this thread is to speculate walkers that could
    1. Still be Living
    3. Could be spark active
I am fully aware that many of those I have mentioned are obscure and we know almost nothing about. That is the point I personally think that it's the fact that many of these characters are relatively unexplored that might give them a ghost of chance to become interesting relevant characters. You may argue that it would be easier to just create new walkers rather than base them on such old, obscure material and indeed the chance is slim but that's what this thread is for- to gage the communities interest in such a thing. I respect that you disagree, but this thread is not interested in characters other than potentially living, spark active individuals, nor in commandwalkers. Thank-you

fair enough, I'm new to magic and am not even very familiar with the characters of the past. Although I did the article on Tessebik and Masrath and would love to know what happened to these Dominarian Planeswalkers. They Remind me of Venser a little and I fear one of them may have killed the other in their little "play duel".

Y'know maybe Lili visited Ulgrotha, as her art features a Gothic looking castle. The fortress could easily belong in Innistrad too but for some reason I like the idea of visiting the Dark Barony and see what the Sengirs are up to. (Although any revelation wouldn't be too recent since Lili is lots older than most planesalkers we know of so far.)
I would almost bet all all my stash that Nissa visits Lorwyn,Ravnica, or Mirroden as her first jump.
    Jace....no Idea.
I just hope that more walkers we've heard of before but only once will one day appear again. (Masrath, Tessebik I'm looking @ you)
But back to ten worlds, I'm sure between all of us we probably have a lot of the worlds in Origins speculated correctly.

Characters learning things the audience already knows seems like a trivially small development to me, especially when they don't act on that information immediately.

    Two things:

Characters learning things the audience knows already is a huge and traditional element of storytelling. Often it creates tension leading up to that moment of realization, as well as speculation as to what the character will do with what they now know but we have known all along. Would it be a major plot development if Niv-Mizzet learned of Ral Zarek's identity as a planewalker, or even Jace for that matter? YOU BET IT WOULD BE. I don't think he'd kill either of them but experiment? oh yesss...

Secondly, How can Ugin immediately act on the information that he just received regarding Bolas's manipulation at the Eye? Did you want the author to squeeze in a titanic battle between two elder dragons in a short story that already featured an entire dialogue between characters on temporal metaphysics, and later the nature of friendship, Identity, and realized and unrealized potential? You do realize people are already criticizing the story for being too rushed, and being too stuffed right? Also I wouldn't want (nor should anyone expect) any major plot developments like Ugin taking "immediate action" on bolas, to happen without it being represented in cardboard. We only have so many windows into the world of MTG so I'd rather anything major be somewhat appreciated not just in story but also in gameplay if it can be achieved. Finally, The article and previous ones hints at Ugin and Sorin taking immediate action soon on the escaped Eldrazi on Zendikar. With Battle for Zendikar being the next set how is this not "Immediate" enough for you?
The article has it's weaknesses but it's easy (and lazier) to criticize and far harder to to analyze. True analysis sees with an eye for praise and an eye for improvement.

Wow, boy did you guys miss some pretty big hints in that story.

-This story implies what we suspected but did not yet know for sure: That the Eldrazi's release is part of a larger plot of Bolas's to regain his lost power.

-There is a Failsafe to Bolas's plans. What Failsafe? Alara? That didn't quite work exactly the way it was planned. or is there a series of Failsafes?

-Sarkhan now knows of Sorin Markov. This is only important in that with planeswalkers being so rare any new knowledge of another walker is Important.

Everything else you guys caught such as Narset and Sarkhan's potentially lengthy stay on Tarkir, also The explanation to how the time traveling does not retcon events that happened on other worlds and a potential showdown between Nicol and Sarkhan (and friends?) in a distant future.

I dunno why but I'm getting a serious sense of superheroes teamwork a la "Avengers" feeling for this next bock. I fully expect cards that target a pretty common card/creature type (such as Allies or Legendary" in addition to planeswalkers. dunno why

    So far its
    Nissa - Zendikar
Gidean - Theros and Bant (Alara)
    Jace -
    Liliana -
    Chandra - new unknown plane

Now I could of sworn that nissa went to Lorwyn as her first walk. It would be a good pick. I would be very surprised if Kamigawa isnt in this somewhere.

    Yes. Thank you.
We are well aware of what so far has been officially revealed. What we are weighing are the possibilities of those 'unknowns', those potential planes we may visit in Origins. I do agree that Lorwyn has some potential as being Nissa's first jump.

Hey, something I just noticed: Gideon's adult head Icon shown in the Pic representing him as a kid features the same art as his alara representation. With that in mind, does the full art of Lilliana's transformed self feature any identifiable landscape particular to any plane? It may give us a hint as to what her first planejump sent her to.
