I feel underwhelmed by the B/W commander I hope the other two are more interesting.
Yeah, I mean I love Theros and enchantments don't get me wrong, but we just had BW enchantments in Magic Origins. Also Theros has received a lot of love from creative and design, it'd be nice to explore a older or unknown place before.
That being said I am glad for more info as to what is happening post-Godsend
The picture for the "Announcing Shadows over Innistrad" in today's Arcana seems to confirm Jace, and not Liliana, will be the main character, though of course she can still play a secondary role.
I also noticed that, but who is the woman behind him? Nahiri? Avycen? a Banshee?
I told myself I wasn't gonna ever write in here but this story I feel like could have used some help. I think the major disappointment is that it was trying to tell an epic battle but in very broad terms with few detail and character interactions. I would have preferred this story lasted over the course of 3-4 episodes with more detailed accounts from a varied cast of characters than the broad generalization given. For instance, I would have liked to see how these characters interacted with one another, The Vampire Blood-chief, the Snarky Merfolk wizard, the overly enthusiastic Kor General, and the critical military strategist. Not to mention the other planeswalkers.
Oh, in that case I'll give it a look through. Seems like the kind of story I've been asking for. Would be even better if it didn't feature any walkers, but I'll take what I can get
I think you will actually like how Gideon is featured here ;-)
"Noyan rolled his eyes in disbelief. He wanted to slap Gideon, but would probably end up cutting off his own hand. What sane, intelligent person has blades coming out of one's hand?"
Noyan truly is the voice of the readers.
Kinda and yet, not all readers. I love Gideon just the way he is...and yet, I also enjoyed the mockery. Every planswalker needs his/her Noyan.
k, back to real evidence for the next block. I really think that whatever the place is it's gonna be something that the majority of players have been asking for. Maro has stated quite explicitly that we probably won't be returning to Kamigawa anytime soon.We can probably cross that off our list. If we could critically and neutrally extrapolate the remaining options where does that leave us?
Edit: Art is not a problem, they can probably find ways to explain why any future shandalar slivers are again their original style. Shandalar's main point against it is that I'm unsure if it is popular enough to receive a block on it's own any time soon. This is especially relevant with the lack of the core set through which we most often visited the plain.

It's a She
I fear many will be disappointed then. Wizards has been lately a lil loose with canon.
lol
