The problem with interpreting once per turn as only once per turn is that it doesn't allow you to get anything extra out of the card. The default condition of the game is you are allowed to activate one of a planeswalker's loyalty abilities once per turn.

Once, as in once per Veil activation. Perhaps you should try to put the emphasis on "as though none of its loyalty abilities have been activated this turn" instead.

No, it is once per turn, not per activation. L3 judge tweet about it. It doesn't go infinite.

That is pretty bad English on the card then. You could also interpret it to mean it only allows you the usual once per turn activation like normal if you read it like that. Plus there's no reason not to allow it. If someone wants to go through the effort of getting this, a planeswalker, an artifact untapper, and enough mana to use it then just let them have it. There are hundreds of easier combos that just straight up win the game.

Some times you make brews to have fun.

And there are better people then I that make artifact blue things work. Astral Cornucopia, Everflowing Chalice, Ral Zarek tron lands. toss grand architec in there too for giggles.

I'm not claiming its the best, Im saying its new design.

Oh sure as a fun brew it's kind of cool really. T2 farseek, t3 Ral Zarek, t4 Veil, t5 Nissa is a t5 infinite turns (or just kill them with Ral Zarek).

You'd need 4 mana per activation though. If you have the mana to abuse this then just cast Tooth and Nail or Emrakul.

Very cool cards. Not tier 1 standard playable, but cool cards none the less. Too bad new Jace sucks even more with this card revealed. Mill two of the top three cards. That's the ticket.

No. When it enters the battlefield it will cause you to skip whatever turn you try to take next no matter how that turn comes about. So basically you will skip your extra turn and the game will go on like normal to your opponent's turn.

It's not terrible, but it's not really good either. It's only useful on the turn you are going off and even then only after you have started unless you are at 5+ lands. Of course once you get started it is amazing. Copying this with PA is essentially draw 6 and if you have Electromancer out it's pretty good. It might see play really.

You will get 0 draws. Fate fortold will be countered before resolution since the creature you are targetting will sac itself first.

You can always target the same thing twice. The second one will get countered but it wont destroy pod

    1) I'm not sure if it was different years ago but there is only one battlefield zone and changing control doesn't trigger etb effects.
    2) there is no pararadox just resolve the effects on at a time. The upkeep trigger occurs and you activate trader which triggers fractured loyalty. Loyalty resolves and you gain control (with no noticeable change since you already control it) then bazaar resolves and the opponent gains control. Then the original trigger resolves and you have the option to pay or not. Either way your opponent will control it.
    3) he will not be able to attack.

If it had haste itself or if it added 1R maybe. As it is it's just a way to ramp into a larger creature in red. T3 Thundermaw does sound cool though.

    Quote from ForsakenM »
Situation: You control Mycosynth Lattice, Magosi, the Waterveil, Rings of Brighthearth, Voltaic Key, and an Amulet of Vigor. You also have the mana necessary to provide all the desired effects.

Desired outcome: Pay U, tap Magosi, get the counter, skip your next turn. Pay 1 colorless, untap Magosi, tap Magosi and remove the eon counter and return it to your hand. When this goes on the stack, pay the 2 for Rings and copy the effect. This would then give you infinite turns as the skip and the first extra would cancel out, leaving you the second extra turn, and you play Magosi again on the extra turn, and it comes in untapped.

Question: I was informed with Arcum Dagsson that I needed a legal target for the copied effect (IE: I had to target another legal artifact creature). If you copy Magosi's ability, part of the cost is returning it to your hand. Wouldn't the second trigger fail to resolve as there is no Magosi to return to your hand.

Alternatively, would having a land that is a copy of Masogi or another Magosi even effect this, as it would still be targeting the original Magosi you activate the ability of.

Correct this works. You do not need a legal target for the copied effect because there is no targetting involved. Only if the literal word target is in something will it target. The copy doesn't fail because all that is copied is the ability which is simply "take an extra turn" the returning to hand is a cost.

Having a copy out wouldn't change anything. They are legendary so you can only have 1 out at a time. Even further when a card references its own name what it really means is "this permanent"

Edit: They aren't legendary. Not sure why I thought it was.

Depends on what you are trying to do with Manalicious. The way I see it the best way is

Spells with an X in the casting cost, cost 5 less to cast.

They trigger at the same time. However when something triggers it doesn't happen right away the game allows for people to respond before things resolve. However in your case what matter for Arrogant Bloodlord is only what the power of the creature is at the time the block is declared. After that the game no longer checks to see if it got a pump from somewhere else.

Seriously? When did Painlands become something to bemoan? They have always been a solid set of lands and I for one am happy to see them back. I swear I just think that people who are complaining have become spoiled with near perfect mana fixing with little to no drawback. Good lands are good.

They aren't very popular. Most new people don't like taking damage from their lands which is one of the reasons they stopped putting them in core sets. Not sure what changed their minds.
