Sep 12, 2017lajube posted a message on Changes to MTGSalvation User AccountsI have a twitch account. I don't like linking accounts because if twitch gets compromised (and every major account system eventually gets hacked), everything gets compromised. And then what? I might create an extra twitch account just for this, but I don't think that will really help.Posted in: Articles

So basically very aggressive, plenty of removal for little stuff, and Coup to take care of big problem creatures.
4 Fatal Push
2 Confiscation Coup
4 Greenbelt Rampager
2 Heart of Kiran
4 Longtusk Cub
4 Winding Constrictor
4 Walking Ballista
2 Verdurous Gearhulk
4 Glint-Sleeve Siphoner
2 Bristling Hydra
4 Botanical Sanctum
4 Blooming Marsh

4 Forest
2 Island
3 Duress
2 Spell Pierce
2 Essence Scatter
2 Driven/Despair
2 Vraska's Contempt
2 Aethersphere Harvester
2 Skysovereign Consul Flagship
I think going green and Itlimoc, Cradle of the Sun is a more likely justification for continuing the monument deck.
In the short term I aim to update my G/B/W energy-combo deck:
4x Aethergeode Miner
2x Bristling Hydra
4x Glint-Sleeve Siphoner
2x Longtusk Cub
2x Rishkar, Peema Renegade

1 Gisela, the Broken Blade
1 Quarantine Field
2 Negate
1 Disallow
1 Turn Aside
1 Descend upon the Sinful
This kind of deck can outgrind anything. We have a reusable tutor, that eventually leads to Seasons Past reclaiming all the singletons that got used up so you can run those singletons a second time. And with the built-in lifegain, you have a fair chance against aggessive decks too.
Meanwhile, check this 4-color monstrosity:
3 God-Pharaoh's Gift
2 Perpetual Timepiece
1 Aethersphere Harvester
// 20 Creature
2 Angel of Invention
4 Champion of Wits

4 Concealed Courtyard
1 Swamp
1 Forest
1 Spire of Industry
// 4 Sorcery
3 Traverse the Ulvenwald
1 Fumigate
2 Crook of Condemnation
2 Angel of Sanctions
2 Authority of the Consuls
2 Stasis Snare
2 Negate
1 Fumigate
2 Dusk // Dawn
I've been wanting to try Greenwarden of Murasa since it was printed, and this deck can accomodate it well. Mill everything to your grave, then get Delirium and cast Traverse the Ulvenwald to tutor any card. Like Greenwarden, cast it, and retrieve anything from the graveyard. Maybe a Fumigate, or a Gate. Or traverse for a Champion to discard something, or an Angel of Sanctions to remove something.

It felt like the deck almost couldn't lose to your average aggro or midrange deck. Ended games against Temur and Zombies with life well over 30. Only had trouble against the over-the-top game plans of Gift decks and Approach, but even there it had powerful game and could weather almost anything. (Except an early Approach, because no counterspells.)
By having a hybrid gameplan (Stockpile//Anointed Procession//Anointer Priest and Monument//Bishop//Ormendahl), it can't be hated out, and you can pretty much count on something fun coming together.
