Great stuff being posted! I haven't really contributed in a while, and im certainly not on your
level when it comes to pimping decks :(.
I thought i could share some of the stuff i've amassed, some of the good stuff.
I like my stuff in english, foil, but if i can i want it in the earlies edition, soo cards like Sol Ring has to be in alpha
since i really like how "warm" the cards look.

Sedris, the Traitor King - I love grixis, and i really like reanimating stuff for 3 mana! So yeah, control a bit, discard cards, reanimate, then
add Sedris as the extra.
Prossh, Skyraider of Kher - i try to cast him pretty often, getting 6 chumpblockers for free is pretty cool, not only that
i even get more later on in the game. Animar, Soul of Elements - He's the engine of the deck, so i would cast him always on turn 2-3.
The Mimeoplasm - Play him when there's creatures in the graveyard, gain some value from it, or setup an aggressive
voltron strategy. Karn, Silver Golem - He's just amazing, i guess my deck is too dependant on him, but i love the old robot :D, always try to cast
him whenever i need extra blockers, going aggresive, combo out etc.
Kozilek, Butcher of Truth- Sharing the general spot sometimes with karn, switching in some mana ramp to make it more consistent. Always
try to cast him as soon as you can, to keep your engine going.
Nekusar, the Mindrazer- Thing is with Nekusar, there are multiple copies of him, so it's not that bad if he get tucked.
Oloro, Ageless Ascetic- I try to play him when my deck run out of steam, he's a fine blocker, and i always try to cast him
atleast once.
Uril, the Miststalker- My new addition, i will cast him as soon as i can. I've had 2-3 games with him, and i just have to get him out
on the board.
I've played a bunch of other ones but i won't go into detail atm. I really like to build around my general, i've seen alot of decks going goodstuff,
and that is something i want to deviate from, because i noticed that all the decks are alost the same. YOu got the Oracle of Mul Daya, the Sylvan Library, Cyclonic Rift etc, it just turns stale after a few games.
Yeah i got to play a few games today. Cavern of Souls is a Must, i need more removal. Sunhome is on my to get list. Flametomgue Kavu is more of a filler card atm.
Tho the games i played was 1v1 and a 3 man game, so i think it would perform differently in a 4 man game. Btw how much do you think blue mages would hate me if
i played Choke and City of Solitude in the deck? They seem REALLY viable.
I pilot a karn deck myself, my favourite creature and character in all of magic, and i love it :D.
I did swap karn out 1-2 weeks and thought for myself, how would a kozilek build look like?
Kozilek is quite fun and puts pressure on your opponents, so i got all the fat artifacts and ramp,
it went well and i got positive feedback from my group.
Still i do pilot my karn deck, it can do it all lol.

In my group there's just me, and all the jokes i've heard when someone
path's my creatures just to say; "i'll exile your dude, go look for a basi.. OH, wait, you don't get a basicland into play, LMAO!"

I was wondering if anybody that got any Uril experience could take a look at
some of the cards i've gathered this weeks if they'll do good in an uril build.
Our group is really mixed, there's 2 groups. 1 is super cutthroat, everybody are ok with whatever you play with, the other group that i mostly play in does not have the "broken type" of decks.
I was raised so to speak in a cutthroat group, the first one i mentioned, and i've powered down my decks to fit the other ones. There's still a naya player with a really good mayael deck
that often wins or everybody just starts attacking him because just like that, he's back into the game and has the best boardpresence.
I kinda handicap myself to fit the group by building an colorless karn edh deck, and i love that deck. But the more casual groups been getting more and more cutthroat because they're finding
the really strong cards now.
Try to make another deck if you can, proxy one or whatever. I've played all kinds of decks, i even built a discusting mono blue combo deck and nobody in the casual group liked it, just to show what
we can evolve into.
Still, play with what you think is fun, but you can always try to bring the power down a bit.
Our group is quite difficult to balance. I started out in a meta where people comboed out on turn 4 etc,
blowing up lands, it was quite cutthroat. Then when new people i recruited joined us, they
didn't like that i countered something, if i blew up a land or two just i wouldn't lookse 80% off my
board etc..
They did not like inf combos so i stopped using them, now they're using them, Worldslayer combo with Darksteel Plate.
It is really difficult to find what is fun, in a group of different people.
Naya players that gets frustrated when somebody counters their Tooth and Nail and more.
Apparently it's a "fun" thing to eliminate me first, so i always got a fat target on me.
I've changed my decks to be more fair over time, so they'll realise im not the biggest threat
right from the get go, even tho im usually the combo player.
I got 3 decks. Where i play most people got 1 deck each, so it's almost always me that have a deck to lend out.
I will lend out my Oloro deck and Nekusar deck, but my Karn deck is my baby, so it isn't often people get to play it.
But i do let them try it once in a while to get a feel of how a colorless deck works.
I've been trying to promote EDH alot in our store, we went from 5 people, down to 2 (me and a friend),
aaaaand it feels like it's mostly me that persuades people to get into the format, but now we're about 15 people!:D.
It's great that our scene is growing! i just wish the Mayael swarm could stop, we got about 5 Mayael decks lol.
I always start to count my decks AFTER i've left the store to see if any cards are missing >_>, and that's very stupid lol.
Still i always try to embrace the beginners to the format:D! Magic and EDH is fun!
I just don't like goodstuff decks, it feels like every spell is predictable. My decks tend to be nicer (that's what i think) my nekusar deck is not hardcore, it is there to SPEED UP games, since the games are so slow, and it destroys people that tutors for cards.
My Karn deck is my baby, that's it.
Oloro is just a lifegain deck, some carddraw, nothing hardcore.
I just dislike playing against Mayaels haha, bomb after bomb, uncounterable, and they get suprised why i countered a Tooth and Nail haha.
I do not like my friends Bant blink deck, because he refers it to "the chinese water torture deck".
Something that has that kinda name is not fun to play against, you name it he has the bant cards, no attack phases,
all the counterspells, all the carddraw, give that deck 1-2 turns to build up, it goes to hell lol.
I play nekusar when i invite new people into the format, i counter too mean spells early on if they are directed at a beginner, that is no way to introduce anybody to the format. Giving him/her the carddraw so they can play some stuff, so the "ops everybody looses their hand" spells won't resolve, atleast not when there's beginners in the game.
Oh and Derevi is a pain in the butt, uncounterable 4 mana flash? bull***** that shouldn't be legal.
