this. So much this. Everyone all like "it doesn't do anything on an empty board" and "too expensive". You only need a servo token or something (1 power) to make this card GOOD. Any more power than 1 and we are getting into GREAT territory. 1 extra mana to make your 5 drop at least cantrip is definitely a card to watch.

Stop saying elves wants this, unless you are talking about standard. First, only "combo elves" wants this effect so no coco. Second,in every other format other than standard elves has cloudstone curio or intruder alarm etc which already serve that purpose. Elves have 0 interest in this card

After reading that thread, I was a bit shocked that maro didn't seem to understand the importance of having fetchable duals that can enter untapped (and without getting shocked) in legacy and vintage. He knows those game's can end before turn 3 right?

Obvious control walker. He has weaknesses as everyone has already pointed out (doesn't really protect himself or generate CA) but I think the biggest thing holding him back is where he fits in the curve. I don't think control wants to tap out for this turn 4 or 5, and after that it's gearhulk time. I don't think he will see competitive play

Big fat "meh".

Silumgar the Drifting Death is awesome for this style deck. Both his body and his abilities are super relevant(big butt, flying and death touch), and being able to get a creature or planeswalker is nuts. U/B is definitely the best color pair for this type of deck because of access to all the spelljacks, mind controls, and mind slavers and clones. Black also lets you play cards from opponents graveyards.

Riku will be the best at facilitating extra land drops i.e. having 2 oracles of mul daya, or doubling a ramp spell or an avenger of zendikar, etc. And then you can run a few other doublers and reverberate type spells and a couple extra clones and go nuts having a million triggers. I always prefer a more synergistic leader for my decks, more synergy = more fun

Doesn't this also mean a much larger standard card pool? I like the idea of that, however it could make them more careful about printing powerful cards. We may start seeing bans in standard again
