It's not that it offends me, it's that it says something about you that you would even think of that.

I need the card to tell people what it does who may not have been playing at exactly the moment riot came out, or may not remember since it was a random one-off mechanic. I can tell you for a fact if my sister saw riot without reminder text, she'd groan, roll her eyes, and say in an annoyed tone "okay, so what hell is riot?" I don't like annoying my players, alienating less experienced players, or making players give away information.
This is the most practical way to handle everything in this game.
Having the rules on the card seem a little more practical than fiddling with your phone lol -

You may cast CARDNAME as though it had flash for R. If you do, sacrifice it when it enters the battlefield.
When CARDNAME enters the battlefield or at the beginning of your upkeep, CARDNAME deals 2 damage to any target. -

They do. Which is why there's no reason to not use such an effect as opposed to a counter. Your misunderstanding of how the game handles basic functions is not a failure of the game.Quote from ReapThaWhirlwind »That seems like an error in how the rules define the operating function of counters.
They should operate the same way as static effects granting abilities. -

Miaou posted a message on Angels for MPI'll mention your curve again (see Blasphemous Act deck) as you have 12(!) 5 drop angels. I think it's worth shaving some of them in order to squeeze in some 4 drop angels since you can then curve Giada on turn 2 into 4 drop angel on turn 3.Posted in: Multiplayer
Battle Angels of Tyr would definitely fit, but it's an expensive card and I don't know your budget.
Legion Angel could provide you with a stream of 4/3s so you don't run out of Angels to cast.
Firja's Retribution could be a good piece for the deck, giving you removal and a finisher all in one. It doesn't work with Giada though which is a bummer.
For the mana base, what about some copies of Emeria, the Sky Ruin to give you some staying power late game? Emeria's Call would also be a decent addition to the mana base and on theme. -

There's a neat trick should you ever forget or be confused as to what type of game Magic is.
Take any old regular Magic card, then turn it around and look at the back. It should be very obvious to you at this point what type of game it is
Magic: The Gathering
Deckmaster
A card game with five colours whose coloured dots are arranged in a pentagram-shaped layout.
What am I missing here? -

If you told me to pick one card from the YEAR Ixalan came out to leave at mythic, it would be the 9 mana, 3 color behemoth. that is the definition of mythic for limited
Yes, but much more important they keep Loyal Retainers at mythic to preserve its secondary market value. The thing Wizards definitely doesn't keep track of! -

buffntuff posted a message on Standard rotation period changed againPosted in: The Rumor MillQuote from Card Slinger J »Unfortunately Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro refuses to use Commander as a tool to draw new people at Local Game Stores (LGSs) like Standard once did. Why is that? They make it more complicated than it should be.
Cuz the majority of their sales come from big box stores or amazon and commander doesn't rotate. Commander as a format creates its own problem where people lean heavily on buying on the secondary market, which despite conspiracy theories wotc does not directly make money from. That's why secret lairs exist and keep coming out, so that wizards themselves can actually charge $30 for a card that people are buying one-offs of for their pet commander decks rather than the $2 per pack they's selling to TCGplayer vendors.
I think it's great to have a local gaming store and etc but this is a capitalist country and if you can't run a business profitably then you should not be in business. LGS's need to offer a value proposition to its customers, the customers don't need to be guilted into virtue signaling their money to a business. Wizards of the coast shouldn't be guilted into virtue signal supporting game stores. That's woke antifa thinking. Profits don't care about your feelings. -

At the beginning of your upkeep, each player exiles cards from the top of their library until they exile a nonland card. An opponent chooses a nonland card exiled this way. You may cast up to two spells from among the other cards exiled this way without paying their mana costs.

I'll add one last tidbit. After Olle won the invitational, he quit playing magic for several years. By the time he returned, he had shaven his head, therefore WOTC agreed to let him create the card with the condition that he would be depicted with his trademark long hair.

This was part of Olle Rade's Pro Tour winning spider deck. He was immortalized in Sylvan Safekeeper for winning an invitational, when the prize was creating a magic card.

I think its closer to meld or possibly inspired from banding since the grim captain gets 4 abilities.
Menace - pirates
trample - dinosaurs
lifelink - vampires
hexproof - merfolk

I don’t think they’ve printed a creature that lets you tutor for knights, but it would have been flavorful as there are many knights in eldraine.

also, Prophetic Flamespeaker, Stromkirk Occultist and robber of the rich.

I think it can be changed to:
"Whenever an opponent pays mana for a triggered ability from
a permanent you control, at the beginning of your next main phase, add an amount of C equal to that spell’s mana value. This triggers only once each turn.
Whenever an opponent doesn't pays mana for a triggered ability from a permanent you control, draw a card. This triggers only once each turn."
