MM2015 taught me that nothing is guaranteed. There were a ton of cards that people thought for sure were going to be in it that were not.

So no, knowing Wizards I'm not going to assume that anything is guaranteed because that road leads to disappointment. I do personally think she will be in it, but betting on that could lead to disaster.
I think it may actually be slightly more likely that there's no Tarmogoyf in MM17 and instead we get Lili and some other chase cards. I wouldn't be surprised if they feel satisfied with the number of goyf copies they've given recently, and it opens space for plenty of other cards.

Goyf is the mascot of modern masters. There is no way that they replace him. What card replaces him?

In their infinite wisdom, probably azusa, lost but seeking or vengevine.

the main difference is a matter of efficiency.

sip of hemlock is too slow for constructed but isn't terrible in limited

it is outclassed by the more efficient hero's downfall

an example in the modern format is volcanic hammer vs lightning bolt or lightning strike.

the last 2 are instants or cost less mana.

Making more money > Making less money, and making you happy.

Take advantage of your customers enough, and you won't be making any money at all.
They're "taking advantage" of you for not giving you your dream product for your dream price?

No, they're taking advantage by charging $165 for a product that has less than $100 of value in it by relying on people not actually checking the decklists.
That's simply not accurate. As someone who has watched "Heavenly Inferno" on eBay for some time, I can tell you there are plenty of people that will want this. Your "value" =/= everyone's value ... and no, it shouldn't be.

Considering heavenly inferno is currently sold for $120-150 on ebay, your value is way off.

Shouldn't the term 'living wage' be defined first?

is it meant for a single person, a married couple, a 5 person family, etc....?

is it the wage for someone with a bachelor's degree, a masters degree, a high-school dropout, etc....?

obviously a college graduate is deserving of a higher income than someone who is lacking the degree.

When the term was coined by FDR, the most common family was a married couple, two children, and one parent was working.

I highly doubt that situation is sustainable any more.

Regardless, 'living wage' would need to be tiered according to my criteria.

Well, you are more than welcome to do the research if you are trying to do a debate. Each state can have a radically difference cost of living. Like, 10 seconds on Google got me this:

"The average cost of raising a child born in 2013 up until age 18 for a middle-income family in the U.S. is approximately $245,340" (Divide that by 18 gets you about $13,630)

"Annual Cost for a Single Adult with No Children: $28,474"

So, for a married couple with a single child, the minimum they would need to make for a living wage would be $70,578 so support that family. That assumes the child is moderately health, and a decent, but not grand house. Now, I do agree that that amount is not sustainable for a single income, unless that person is doing really well, but so in a two working parent household, each person would have to make about $35,289. Increase that number by 14,287 or decrease it for each kid beyond the first, or if the couple decides to not have kids.

For a single parent family, that parent would have to make $42,104 to support a single kid.

So, unless there is a different metric you want to use: do you think it is unreasonable for the cheapest non-intern job to guarantee at least $28,474 a year, including benefits?

I think roughly $30,000 is fair for a college graduate.

If someone has an advanced degree (CPA, Law degree), it should certainly be worth closer to $60,000.

I'm guessing either Damnation or Goblin Guide could be mythic if they're even in. Especially Guide since Red has so few noteworthy mythics.

With Inquisition of Kozilek and Serum Visions in CNS2, I'm at a loss of what C/Uncommons could be moneyshifted though.

lightning helix, terminate, gitaxian probe, wild nacatl, simian spirit guide, silvergill adept, ancient stirrings, and might of old krosa.

will we finally see the lorwyn-shadowmoor merfolk be reprinted?

i think everyone would have been happier if they just released the five original 2011 commander decks instead.
they could sell it for $150 to get more copies of the expensive cards out there.

Why would they want to spend more money on printing and get paid less?

Because they still make a boatload of money and the most important thing is the need to increase the availability of the original decks.

You can find the 2013-2015 ones at reasonable prices fairly easily. I bought mind seize up for $30-35 after they did the second wave. Its on ebay now for $30 with several sellers while the best ebay price for the originals (all 5) is $500.

Why is the FNM version more expensive? Shouldn't the foil of the original printing be worth the most?

I think (at least before EMA came out) that was considered the consensus best art.

There were also 'All Foil' packs of Shards of Alara block sold back then.

I'm really troubled by Aether Vial. I think it would really improve my deck, and it's a sweet card, but at the same time 40$ for a single vial not to mention $160 for a playset is a lot of money spent on cardstock. I'm pretty conservative with spending, being a student. Is it a good buy, should I invest?

Do you play Modern competitively? Frequently? If so, then yes, it's a good buy. It will improve your deck (hatebears, fish, something similar?). It's probably too powerful for Standard (although I certainly can't rule out Development wanting to try to curb the power of Eldrazi for a few months before rotation and sticking it in Aether Revolt), so the likely reprint is not sooner than the postulated Modern Masters 2017: What Are We Mastering Now? Check out Spellskite from MM2 - It's a card that sees a ton of play and the reprint didn't really do anything to the price. You're probably safe investing in a playset to power up your Modern deck.

If you don't play frequently, or if you don't play competitively, then maybe you can think about other ways to spend $160, but if you play and there's prize support then you're leaving money on the table by playing a sub-optimal deck.

considering the price of spellskite doubled in december 2015, it could have gone to $60-80 if not for the reprint.

I prefer less clutter and easier to read and navigate. I'm not there for pretty pictures or beautiful buttons and drop-downs, I am there to get stuff done.

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I really liked the old interface that was super utilitarian (and pretty discreet if I was checking cards at work).

it takes an eternity to look at somebody's want list if the have more than 10-15 items. It keeps loading like 7 at a time. (Doesn't matter if you use list or photo view)

its also unclear if you can cancel only part of the cards in a package.
