What are you ramping into? No Polukranos, World Eater? If you don't hit one of your 2 Garruks youre top decking. I'm sure the Courser helps but I think 4 Temple of Abandon to Scry extra lands to bottom (since you are playing Clan Defiance) would help with that.

Thanks for the input everyone! I'm going to North Park to answer the question about location so I'm on the north side of the city.
I stopped by a few places this weekend to check them out. I have friends in the northeast-ish suburbs so I was out with them and we went kind of just around the city. I guess the area that I'm gonna stick with is the northern area.
Checked out the Dice Dojo & played some EDH there, nice people. Checked out Pastimes in the northwest area but I was late for a huge Standard event they had going on, although seemed like a good competitive atmosphere. Then went to Chicago Clubhouse in the northeast and I think that's the store I'm gonna stick with. As far as just going and chillin' and playing games they were most like the atmosphere that I was looking for. I'd recommend all 3 of those stores though.
Seems sweet, but like it depends very highly on the specific list you're playing. It seems like it could see play in a Monoblack list, particularly against Gods and Voice of Resurgence, depending on how much play any of those cards see. I'm a fan of it in any Monoblack list somewhere in the 75, even if it's just a two-of board card.
So I'm in north Chicago for college right now, and I'm looking for game stores to go play at. I've got a lot of easy classes right now and a good amount of free time. Are there any card stores that are more like hangout places?
