Bonds of NothingnessWU
Enchantment - Aura
Enchant nonland permanent
When ~ leaves the battlefield, exile enchanted permanent. 6: Return ~ to its owner's hand.
I kind of really want this card to be real. Seems totally fun, fair and yet still breakable in the right deck/situations.
Now to the hating...
I have always wanted to see a plane where magic was forbidden and any one who was caught using mana for spells was executed. There could be a whole thing about the planeswalkers coming and helping free people from the oppressive Kalredars who are also corrupt and secretly hippocrits cause that do magic themselves in secret.(I just made that name up)
Kalredar Monitor 3
Artifact
At the beginning of each end step, if one or more cards left a graveyard put a 1/1 Human into play. 2 (tap): Exile a card from a graveyard.
"The Kalredar set up sensors to detect dark or strange magics. When triggered investigators are sent to root out any illegal sorcerers."
I would like to clarify that I don't do this to strangers. We have a couple of people in our shop who have multiple decks and sometimes want to be jerks in the game. When I bring out my deck or just threaten it they switch to one of their other more appropriate decks. And sometimes when it is just us and others in a game with high powered decks we all play those and have an interesting and competitive game.
Cards that my playgroup think should not be allowed we just don't play. I am not for a Giant Banned List. I like the freedom for different groups to decide what's appropriate for them.
The way I make sure all of my games are fun is I have a deck for different power levels, from hyper-competitive to completely casual. So I can properly fit in with whatever a group enjoys doing. And if someone is a real jerk(playing a deck above the groups power level ruining their fun) I play the hyper competitive one and steamroll just them every game until they stop being a jerk.
Master of Rockslides also fails to hose Ovinomiser, instead getting hosed by it. But - BUT - I can hose Staged Walkout, Eidetic Memory, Master of Rockslides, and Ovinomiser all at once.
Slavemaker Archdemon3WUB
Creature - Demon
Lifelink, menace
Whenever a creature enters the battlefield under an opponent's control, you may pay life equal to that creature's converted mana cost. If you do, you gain control of that creature.
At the beginning of your upkeep, if you control ten or more creatures with 0 or less power, target player loses the game.
4/4
My goal was to make it so with that other card out the tokens it made would be bigger and even stay around after the master left.
And I tried to edit in power and toughness but it wouldn't show??? weird. Any way sorry for a lame entry!
1) Ninjutsu is an activated ability but training grounds and hearthstone wont help since they are not in play. Kind of like a card that says all of your creatures have hex proof won't protect creature spells in your hand from being targeted.
2) They do not happen at once. After blocks are declared prioty passed starting with you. You may then decide to ninjutsu one or more creatures. after they resolve [priority passes again starting with you. You may ninjutsu again or pass prioty to your opponent. Once your opponent passes priority he may path a creature, in which case you can respond by ninjutsuing that creature.
I know the mirror mockery and other and flamerush rider cases have been debunked already, but I wanted to add that this combo also doesn't work because the token doesn't have haste, so even if it wasn't exiled it would still not be able to attack again to exert again.
Hazoret - If I read this as a variant of Seismic Assault, it's bad. If I read it as a creature, it's bad. If I read it as both... it's still pretty bad. I would have prefered 2RR and 1R for the discard, and then you could make him 5/5 or something.
Trial - Cartouche synergy. Sure. Too bad this is garbage. Was "Draw a card" with Flash for 2U too much?
Cartouche - I'm not sure why it's giving us a 1/1 vigilant warrior instead of a 1/1 soldier; and I'm not sure why it's giving +1/+1 and First Strike when the soldier has vigilance. There is so much text on this card that's so poorly chosen that it's pretty much certain to be garbage. But it's good enough in limited, and MIGHT see some constructed play if people forget how to 2-for-1. If only they keyworded the create ability on this to trigger when played...
Crocodile - This feels limited-only, but quite strong. I'd be interested to see the -1/-1 synergy.
Nest of Scarabs - First card that interests me. If this was 1B or BB, I'd be onboard. As is, meh.
Flameblade - sure.
Limits - could have cost 1RR - would have made the cycling cooler. Still, this should have wrangled+draw-cycled for 3R...

I didn't read all of this thread so sorry if this has already been discussed. But all of the people in the beginning trying to figure out which Egyptian god each art is is forgetting that in Theros all of the gods were original creations and not mythology at all. It is a set based on Egyptian mythology just like Theros was based on greek mythology.
I can't believe this set has so many mechanics. Four plus the Gods which is really a fifth. After new world order they have been pretty gung ho about 2 mechanics in a set with 3 in follow up sets. To start one off with 5 is quite the change from the last several years. I am certainly happy but I hope newer players don't get overwhelmed which is why they started restricting the number of mechanics per set in the first place.

I can't figure out how to do the tap symbol.

Creature - Leech
When Chakra Leech enters the battlefield you may gain control of any number of auras and move them to Chakra Leech.
At the beginning of your upkeep sacrifice an aura.
2/3
Legendary Creature - Spirit
Whenever an opponent gains life, you gain 5 life.
Whenever you lose life, each opponent loses 1 life.

Creature - Goblin Wizard
Protection from blue
Elemental creatures you control get +2/+1
Whenever Master of Rockslides enters the battlefield create a 0/0 red elemental creature token for every basic mountain you control.
2/1
Wanted a more exciting creature type than Goblin. Was trying to make a red Master of Waves.
