Kambal play roles that canonist isn't supose to reach. In ALL non-creature MU, Kambal buy clock, gets life and take removal.
About the others, i think we are already favorable.
In this time, we need a detailed MU scheme to analize real sideboard silver bullets, considering the aggro-control oriented style of humans in vial. In coco builds, on the others hand, the midrange mode can support the tireless, the mirran, the Falconer and so on...

To maximize the curve of blue spells in order to fight with Shoal a bunch of threats. If modern becomes a 3 cmc threat format, Shoal does nothing with a hand full of casters, snapback, remand and so on.

This analysis would require all mvp data from any tier 1 match to complete a ideal mana curve for shoal

    Hey guys!

I'm new to this deck but, i have some experience on tempo decks and false tempo decks. When i try to build and capitalize on some extrategies, i think is important to assume that in ever match, the plan B becomes the plan A. Because some sort of removal is always avaliable to our opponents, and modern have lost some legs (gitaxian legs), is time to reinvent the the jeskai way. It's time to take some kind of resilience.

    Let's begin

The core of deck is a haste creature based. This fact buy us one turn in any situation. Even in case of non-haste creatures, we have some ETB creatures that develop a bunch of value. Some popular packages like Snapcaster plus Bolt, a single Reflector Mage or a late game Abbot of Keral Keep give us time and tempo advantage. Keep this, will be relevant.

The core spell is a aggressive and permissive core. One mana counters and pumps and poor cantrips make the game far superior on tempo. Negate to lilianas, Mutagenic to Bolts, Apostle's Blessing can dodge Decay and Ceremonious make Eldrazi cry in absence of Caverns. Slip Through Space and Twisted Image are cantrips and prowess enablers ( Twisted is a Stormchaser 4/2 fly haste). All in all, it's a great core.

But don't have a Splinter Twin to ours Mantis Rider. No Become Immense to ours Swiftspear. There's no victory out nowhere.

    Until now.

    Enters the False Tempo Jeskai.

If i told you that is possible to beat much damage in one turn with just one card? From nowhere? What you would think? 'Nah, it's impossible!'

So, let me explain in a top-down design:

Last turn your opponent cast supreme verdict. In your turn, a caster, two swiftspears, two stormchaser. And a Rally of the Ancestors in your hand. X is equal to two. Snap flashback a Mutagenic Growth, all others have haste. You still have cards in your hand. An alpha strike.

Because of False Tempo philosofy, this jeskai way don't need to all-win all time. But plays a game that scares any opponent. If they play closed, Snap Bolt. If they open, Rally then. If not, the old jeskai take care.

I will bring some lists tomorrow.

Ps: sorry, inglish is not my native language.

How about take these flex spots and test Tireless Tracker as a tech to grind games. The problem i see in many matchs is a land flood on crucial turns and this guy helps this.

What should we side in against modern burn decs?

It seems that Burn is most terrible match due to Destructive Revelry, Smash to Smithereens, Ancient Grudge and so on.

Seems like they have an answer for every treat we can propose.

Hm. Actually you can take different lines of gameplay against any modern deck. Against burn you can make a 7/7 vault skirge on turn one ( it's my preference) and post board, spellskite + nature's claim to same strategy.

If we use the gw version with a splash for Volley?

Path+Volley would deal with all current tiers

We can use the entire potential of feeder. All aspects of the card. Examples?

Feeder on play. Hardcast orzhov pontiff, use the mode of your choice. Sac to pod, haunt feeder, rhino on beat, gain 4 life and kill the insect, cclean the board. Rhinos gonna siege.

    Or

Cool stuff on board. Aggressive incoming on voice. No blockers. Spike put counters on voice. Grind on excelence.

    Or

Finks into redcap. Spike into redcap. Bolt into oponent face. Do again, with lark repeteable akpod47

    Spike feeder is love

T2 Birthing Pod and some Abrupt Decays. Decay is probably your best card.

Voice of Resurgence tends to be plain dirty against UB Faeries, especially in Game 1. If they don't counter or discard it, it either keeps them from countering your stuff, keeps making fat dudes when they counter your stuff, or attracts one of their relatively few removal spells and turns into a bigger dude.

In fact, I've found that the entire Pod deck tends to be good against UB Faeries. They tend to have little enough removal that you can afford to assemble Melira + sac outlet + double Persist (or Archangel + Spike with 3+ +1/+1 counters on it), and then you catch them with only one removal spell in hand. Voice is dirty as usual. V. Clique gets butt-kicked by Murderous Redcap. Orzhov Pontiff does a number on their guys. Abrupt Decay nukes V. Clique/Bitterblossom. Shriekmaw pegs Mistbind Clique if you're desperate. Faeries can't counter them all, especially when you can slam down 4-drops on Turns 2-3 and make their Spellstutter Sprites look silly.

Things get worse for Pod post-board, as the Fae generally have to pack an anti-aggro sideboard in the current meta. Since they die to beats, have no combo, and aren't that good at keeping you under control pre-board, I recommend boarding out Chord. They're grindy enough that I'd avoid boarding in targeted discard, and I'm not certain how good boarding in creature removal would be when Bitterblossom makes it look silly. Maybe boarding in threats (especially Lingering Souls) is the best call.

Gotcha, thanks for the info...I have very little experience in dealing against UB Faeries with this deck as I am still learning it...would Thrun, The Last Troll be a good card to main against Faeries? I'll definitely be packing in more Abrupt Decays

Hey, as an intensive UB faerie player with a vast experience against pod decks (a friend is running it, among others), I might share some findings.

    - I find Thrun a perfect sideboard card...to lose actually. It is chumped way too easy in my opinion. If necessary, even Mutavaults are excellent in that regards. Sure, it might be hard to deal with, but I never feel I really have to deal with it. Get it?

+ Siege Rhino is much more anoying there. It doesn't die to doom blade and cripples my life total further. It also eats away all those tokens for breakfast. Siege rhino is hard to deal with if you pod into it. Or else, A mana leak will catch you (the reason why bob-less junk is a party now...)!

    - Creeping tar pit is usually my MVP. Mistbind Clique too. Sower of Temptation is also stronger than the average pod-card. What have these in common? Abrupt decay, Orzhov Pontiff and Murderous redcap (not SoT) cannot hit them. As such, it might be very worthwile to include a couple of paths from your sb.

+ Persist creatures are hard to deal with, same applies to voices. We have no exile. Voices must die. Lategame, voices arent that much of a problem.

+ The township-plan is usually great, since most creatures we can field are not that resilient.

    - Very strong card against you is cryptic command. In multiples, it completely paralyzes your board, no matter what you do. A mistbind clique, followed by cryptic then mistbind + tar pit attack nets you 10+ damage in a mere 2 turns. Cards like sin collector and thoughtseize (to catch some of my four-drops) might not be that bad.

on Thrun: I just feel like with how Faeries plays so many counters, it's good to actually land a respectable creature...but if you know of anything that might be better than Thrun, The Last Troll, what would you suggest?

Also when I do Thoughtseize what is better to grab Bitterblossom or Mistbind Clique?

That Creeping Tar Pit is definitely a mess to deal with, in regards to it...it's just better to hit it with "Path to Exile" when it's a creature then.

I've hit the Spike Feeder & Archangel of Thune combo, but I think I got lucky, should I side out the other combo?

Mistbind, because you can deal with BB. Decay, Qasali and Reclamation.

Spike & Thune is, in my opinion, the best package in pod.
