I cannot imagine changing this Lazav deck into working Breya. Breya needs a lot of tokens to function, as outside of that, she is useful. Also, I wouldn't call equipment and mana fixing as artifact subtheme, as I highly doubt you will sacrifice two Sword of X & Y just to give enemy creature -4/-4.
My opinion is, that if you want Breya, make a new deck and keep Lazav as he is. Breya doesn't look very competitive outside of pure combo. She has multiple ways to go infinite and that will be her way how to win. Outside of that, in casual game, you need A LOT of artifact tokens, because sacrifice 2 artifacts + 2 mana to active ability ONCE is quite a huge cost to use multiple times.
So if you like combo, play Breya. If you have casual group and want to change Lazav into Breya, pack all the Thopter creating cards and change maybe 60% of other cards and it can work. That all depends on you. For me personally, i would keep Lazav as he is and make second deck.
Check some Breya decks in multiplayer decklists section, they can help you to see the right direction.
I have a lot o them. Also a lot i have disassembled and remade into other decks. For now, I have these decks below and I regularly change them each time I play. I think all of them can be put into 'casual' category. Some are complete casual, like Avacyn, some are more closer to competitive, like Alesha. Bot not one of them is top tier with top cards.
i think yidris wouldn't be good as a narset style deck because he doesnt get the value as soon as he attacks. Beening a 5-4 trampler isnt good enough for that
That's my main concern, but Ydris can kill more easily with commander damage since he has a decent body.
yes but he has not hexproof or haste. 5/4 body is good, but if you don't give him boots, he won't survive a round. Giving him double strike makes you cascade twice each spell, so enemies would be stupid to let him do that.
So that means you need to pack things in the deck to help and support him, as boots, some unblockable things, something that gives multiple combat. But I think that these are not the things you want to cascade into..
Had a creature with Sword of Fire and ice and Sword of Feast or Famine equiped and swinging for lethal on a guy. He transforms land into artifact creature, which I completely forgot he had. So I use Tower of the Magistrate on my own creature before blockers are declared...
Swords fall off, got blocked by tokens, didn't untap, died before having next turn. PRO play from my side..
Side note: are decks with partner commanders a stack of 98 cards + 2 commanders for 100 total, or the same deck of 99 plus 2 commanders for 101 total? Both ways have implications that I like, TBH.
98 + 2 for 100 total. I found rules on their official webpage explaining partner.
Partner mechanics looks promising, wonder the pairs that will appear and will be strong. Also, pairs sharing a color can be good in terms of abilities and mana bases.
For now, Silas Renn, Seeker Adept caught my eye. Artifact reanimate sounds great, I can see the deck already.
For others, I don't really like them: Bruse Tarl, Boorish Herder is boring as usually, nothing new here, Im quite dissapointed, they had whole year to create something interesting, yet we see another Kalemne.
Kydele, Chosen of Kruphix not sure what to do with this. I don't know how many cards you can draw each turn, but if it is more than 3, you don't need her to win. Giving 2-3 mana on tap for 4cmc and 2/3 body.. I don't know, I don't like it. Has some interaction with Memory Jar..
Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa... oh god, why can't you be Boros, Rakdos or Orzhov. This would be one epic card for Alesha, Who Smiles at Death. But nah.. I don't like him, I find him too weak. What will you do with him, go 1/1 tokens?
Basic landcycling is great way how to fix 4 color mana bases, I like that. Also those two cards look quite useable.
Prismatic Geoscope stronger Gilded Lotus for 4 or 5 colored decks, not useable for 1 or 2 colored ones. For 3 colored, Gilded is just better as it comes untapped...
Nothing on Sublime Exhalation is convincing me to add it to any deck. White got good sweepers and this one cost 4cmc only when you are playing against 3 enemies. Once 1 or 2 are dead, it is just too expensive.
Awww...
I really hope the previews will be worth it, because I am really starting to be not happy about this...
Well, a valid guess is that we will have the Nephilims in these decks, so they should be in the spoilers anyway
They should be re-errated long long ago.
But 0 spoilers is not good. I think the hype is long dead and people even forgot that some C16 is coming out.
Also I am not sure if they will include all Nephilims in all decks. Maybe they will, but if the nephilim is completely out of the idea of the whole deck, will they put him in?
We were at quite the Magic high lately. Shadows, Conspiracy, then Kaladesh. Then... big gap of nothing. Like not even a hint or some sort of designers blog about what they have in store. Give me anything aside from "this will blow your mind." They say that everytime. Sometimes they are right... sometimes they are so freaking wrong (Megamorph anyone?)
One thing I do hope for is that whatever this new idea is, can translate to non commander products. A new way to determine color identity without the usual color symbol in mana cost or activation cost. Granted we might not get it but... the way Maro hyped it up does make me excited as well as skeptical.
As someone said, it will be something really good or something epically bad, because they are holding all information.
Are they not satisfied with their own product? Or they don't care? More and better communication would be good.
I know that spoilers will be today, but for next time.
I would like to hear the reasoning behind 0 spoilers and then whole spoilers in 1 week.
But I think, if they don't spoil all generals + new cards today, people will kill them.

I'm surprised there was no slip ups this year... very tight in terms of having no leaks. At least last year there was a slight slip with the Boros general. I hope we get a good preview and not some whack preview... of a preview.
I was under the impression that Asia being ahead in the time zone, selected vendors would get (and reveal) news earlier.

I will put her in my Archangel Avacyn deck. I need any draw there, mana helps and the ulti will be a nice plus. Maybe I will try her also in Ruric Thar, the Unbowed

Yidrys has friend and I am not attracted to it, I hate group-hug so no duo and Saskia seams boring.

EDIT: thx for picture. Hmm, never saw her before, but she sure looks strong. SShe can be interesting in Mizzix storm.

Link? I didn't find any Nephilim on their page.
I expect the spoilers to start in the morning but US time. So afternoon in Europe..
