Feb 4, 2014Mr_Lord_Mr posted a message on Launch Giveaway!I would have to say that my favorite is Platinum Angel. Not because of what she does but because of the art and the flavor text. She truly looks like the apex of artifice and the art is just amazing.Posted in: Announcements

That is something I would like to know as well, I took this card to represent them taking down the statue and rejoicing, not that Bolas had lost. (Though I still 100% think he is going to lose)
To be fair most decks always have creatires, planeswalkers, especially in abundance, are more scarce of a card to be on the field, and in garruk's wake cost the same as Plague Wind and it also destroys all planeswalkers you don't control. This card is good and I love it but I don't think it is absurd. I could be proven wrong though depending on how standard shakes out.
Lol yeah it really does, and in a similar vain this boar is blinded/tricked by a larger evil
Platinum Angel, Bone Mask, Dark Sphere, Pentagram of the Ages
To stop lifegain:
Malignus, Leyline of Punishment, Sulfuric Vortex or other combos like Splinter Twin if the lifegain is too much? Though that is less fun.
Preening Pheasant 1GG
Creature - Bird (r)
Flying
t: put a feather token on ~
At the start of your pre-combat main phase add x mana of any color combination to your mana pool,
where x is the number of feather tokens on ~.
When ~ dies add x mana to your mana pool for each feather counter on ~.
Their feathers are priceless, when cleaned they shine with a magical energy.

iiw: cards that make the hockey puck good
Sephon19: The Lord Prophesized - Love this enchantment it is so funny and great! It definitely feels Brushwagg tribal 4/5 and the noble Brushwagg are rare tribe at that 3.5/3 (gave bonus .5 for being as rare as possible), as to flavor the token created has the brushwagg feel and it would seem from existing cards they can be painful/distructive to other permanents 3/5, not sure why you need to not control permanents of the same name, being as there is only one brushwagg card this feels increddibly hard to pull off 3/5. 13.5/18
Flatline: Ainok Alpha - It is about time hounds got a good lord, cats have had it good for too long 4/5, and hounds are a pretty rare numbering at 76 and with no existing lords they are in need of one, 2.5/3. Mechanics definitely feel dog like 4/5 and the card is clean and fairly decent and well costed 4/5. 14.5/18
Subject16: Ilusek, the Blightmarrow - wow that is a good card for skeletons and has a lot of benifits to them both on the offense and defense 4/5. As to rarity skeletons are pretty rare at 49 cards, but they oddly are lacking slightly less in the fact they have a true lord in Death Baron and an almost lord in Paragon of Open Graves 2/3. It has the flavor of a skeleton and reanimating them once they have been withered away, the indestructable flavorly feels odd. Sketons usually don't mind dying they just leave the graveyard over and over. 3.5/5. What can I say mechanically it looks and feels good. 5/5 14.5/18
graffd02: Phyrexian Siege Plow - Wow this card is an amazing card! I am a sucker for flavor and this seems to hit it right out of the park! Right off the bat this card feels decently tribal, it grants a nice flavorful ability to all juggernauts 4/5. As for how rare the tribe is, coming in at 17 and with no lords they are really needing them 3/3. Flavor is amazing I love that the siege plows actually plow and ruin the land. I know this is nitpicking but being as they are phyrexian I almost feel they should corrupt the land more then waste it and I miss that juggernaut attacks each turn line but it incredibly either way! 4.5/5. This card seems fairly well costed and balanced, the flavor helps it in that it doesn't flat out destroy the land, 4/5. 15.5/18
RileyMcAwesome: Supressed Memory - Jeez another beautiful flavor card. Tribal wise it does provide away to create its tribe as well as give a nice anthem buff in the process 4/5. As far as how rare the tribe is, 82 ilusions are still rare (though the most common tribe so far) but they do have a lord in Lord of the Unreal so they aren't in the most desperate spot 2/3. The flavor of this is spot on, narcomebas are already little memories that pop up from time to time, and when a person tries to suppress their own memories they can explode forth in interesting ways and make the memories more vivid or stronger then they would have been normally 5/5. I think this is also the most interesting design space tried out in this challenge and it is well crafted, its forecast ability feels stronger then ones of old but since you cannot cast the creature it balances out, it also ties into the flavor beautifully 5/5. 16/18
Mergatroid_Jones: Primordial Seas - Feels pretty tribally for fish and leviathans 4/5. And as for rarity there are a total of 66 fish and leviathans, and they have some cards that work with other fish/leviathans but not anything major and this card is really just fish 3/3. The flavor seems good, the fish gather and the food chain creates bigger and bigger fish which eventually grow into leviathans 4/5. It feels kind of weird you have to pay mana to get the fish and that it happens at the start and end of the turn, I almost feel like it should just be every turn get a fish token 4/5. 15/18
Forestsguy: Scavenger Rat - I like it, rats always have a place in my heart and this does seem to help the rat tribe by allowing them to dig and bring back some of your killed rat bois! 4/5. Rats are fairly rare but they have several nice support cards like Ogre Slumlord and Marrow-Gnawer so they might be one of the better positioned off the tribes 2/3. The flavor seems decent though it is kinda weird that they can bring creatures back from the dead, and even non-rats if they are scavengers, but really nice over all with the drawing and discarding 3.5/5. Black isn't really into the whole everyone draws and discards, that is more reds shtick, but wonderful otherwise 3.5/5 13/18
mirrislegend: Illusory Advisor - Definitely a good card! and helps illusions out a lot, but nothing about it really screams illusion tribal to me, 3/5. As mentioned above illusions are fairly rare but do have one lord in the form of lord of the unreal, 2/3. Flavor wise i like this a lot and it gives off a nice vibe likee the green and blue legends from battlebonds, 5/5. The card definitely feels well crafted and balanced if not a little pushed and i like how it has the dies when targeted illuion line 5/5. 15/18
Legend: School of Fish - I love this card and I feel like it does help fish tribal alot, gotta draw into those low amount of fish cards somehow. 4/5. Fish are a very rare tribe and as mentioned fish themselves really do not have any lords out there, 3/3. I am not sure I understand the flavor perfectly, but I do like the bigger the school, the bigger the reward 3.5/5. Card is well designed and at its floor is 6 mana draw 3 get 3 1/1's which might be a bit strong for uncommon. But really only if fish become a bigger thing, I do think this might have wanted some green in its casting cost. 4/5 14.5/18
Winner is RileyMcAwesome! Congrats!
