While the Processing Bitter Blossom turned out to be fake, the effect wasn't entirely so. Void Attendant can't go infinite like the counterfeit enchantment, it can basically become green mana : Get an ETB/Death/Sac trigger. Anafenza, the Foremost can give you infinite fodder and the cards that can play off of this cycling like Smothering Abomination, Rot Shambler or Zulaport Cutthroat could be a thing.

When would this be useful outside of colorless EDH? This feels like it couldn't possibly be any more winmore. And you have to sac the land to get a creature, setting your manabase back a turn. First they power down the Eldrazi Temple, then they give us this instead of Eye of Ugin?

I think Brutal Expulsion is a great tempo card rather than a control card. It has decent versatility, although it is slightly expensive. I don't expect to see it more than a 1-of in mainboards unless being colorless becomes relevant, or countering uncounterable spells also becomes relevant.

Considering I play UWr Geist, a tempo deck that often gets to 4 mana I think this is a great tempo play on turn 4. Bounce a blocker (Tasigur/Gurmag/goyf) and destroy a smaller critter (mana dorks, kitchen finks, snapcasters, delvers) and swing with your threat. Cryptic Command is great but it doesn't deal with 2 permanents although tap all, draw a card could sometimes be better depending on the situation. I think it might just depend on where the meta is headed in terms of Modern. I would have played it in so many decks if it was 3cmc but at 4cmc it might see some amount of play. I'll still snap up a playset early in case this card ever spikes.

For standard, it seems like a high power level card but the question is will it slot into a viable deck? I don't see it making any decks viable by itself.

well wizards sell it as tempo card in article that spoiler it.

IMO vs rock it's a goldmine that bounce decay and simultaneously kill bob
VS living end could be autowin (i'm not sure but i think living end go in the stack with cascade effect and then in response you can bounce it)
VS ZOO you have multiple targets for both spell
VS affinity you can bounce in response to equip a creature and kill an other
VS Twin could be an answer when he go comboing
VS snapcastermage could be really strong tempo effect

AND i'm sure i miss something...this card it's just STRONG.
The problem with most of those is that Venser, Shaper Savant does it with guaranteed extra value. This does do exceptional things that Venser doesn't, like against Abzan value decks running Voice of Resurgence/Kitchen Finks/Murderous Redcap or Affinty's near unbeatable Etched Champion with metalcraft active. Its biggest problem is its cost, which puts it in direct conflict with Cryptic Command and Venser, which it falls short of.

Brutal Expulsion is... Brutal. If it cost 3, it would have been the next Kommand in Modern, but 4 cmc might be a little much. An answer for anything is a big deal and if Grixis Control becomes the thing I am expecting, this will be a big part of it.

No, the difference is that it hits 3,4,5,6,7 etc. instead of 0,1,2,3. Really more similar to Appetite for Brains, and that saw no play.
    No play?

I may not understand the whole NWO thing, but this guy, without being built around, is worse than a common bear from a long time ago. It isn't overly complex or strong. It is a 3-drop that wants you to wait for turn 4 and dies horribly to common red removal even then.

It doesn't matter how much damage is dealt to Undergrowth Champion, you will only remove one +1/+1 counter, regardless. For example, if you're on the play and play this on turn three and your opponent follows up with an Anger of the Gods (or Radiant Flames) on their turn three, then you would remove one +1/+1 counter from this guy, and he would survive. Alternatively, if your opponent attacks with a Desolation Twin, you can block it with this and, rather than having it take ten damage, you will instead remove a single +1/+1 counter from it.

Edit: For some reason I thought this was a 0/0 creature that ETB with two +1/+1 counters. So, nevermind, BigGrizzy. You already knew all this, didn't you?
Yeah. I was specifically thinking of the waiting for turn 4 to cast him , then playing a land and having the Red player respond to the ability placing the counter with Fiery Impulse, which would kill the Undergrowth Champion, but not Phantom Nomad.

You can drop a fetch land turn 4 after casting this, which means the red player can't do much. This situation is a bit too "uncommon" for my tastes, but it does need to be pointed out.
I did think of that, though it feels a little Christmaslandish and if you are going to evaluate Mythics on Christmasland scenarios where the upshot is "It didn't die", well you are going to have a bad time.

Yes, but you generally need cards from outside of a single set to make a deck competitive. They haven't spoiled a 1-cmc ingester yet, though I expect one, nor have they spoiled any way to exile multiple cards at a time, which will be necessary for Processor.dec to work. I reserve my excitement on that front until they spoil more of a core for that deck. I have played against 1/1 deathtouchers entirely too much to be terribly excited by one that costs blue mana black mana .

I've spent a while thinking over what you could do to enable the Nullifier, and there really is a ton of options in the coming standard. One of the ideas I've really liked so far is using o-ring type effects as removal, then using the exiled stuff as fodder for the counter. There's the obvious delve interaction, and there's also rebound (admittedly, there's not much in the way of frequently used cards there.) Ugin's often used -x also fuels it, and there's plenty of simple, straight up "Exile a thing" cards.

I think it could potentially be one of the most powerful cards in the whole set, which is great due to it's rarity.
Without dipping into other colors, we currently have:
Ugin is the only one seeing play currently and you aren't using a wincon to enable a counterspell.

Mystic Snake was a force in its day and still will occasionally pop up in the odd Modern deck. Nullifier has a less restrictive mana cost and better body. If its condition is easy enough to meet, it is going to be a terror during its Standard life and while I am not quite ready to call it a Modern staple, the possibility is definitely there.

Run it in Sultai midrange with Scavenging Ooze (maybe Ashiok and Relic of Progenitus as well? :o) for maximum lols. Possibly also an extra Mystic Snake or two for the added tempo swing?

Or possibly in some kind of Esper tempo deck with stuff like Path to Exile, Flickerwisp, and Detention Sphere.
I had an interesting Esper Mill build in my head, mostly depending on whether that Scion making enchantment turns out to be real. It's main wincon would be that enchantment, Altar of the Brood, and either Leyline of the Void or Rest in Peace, but would also pack the Leonin Relic-Warder+Phyrexian Metamorph+Altar as a backup combo. You could also use Path to Exile, Reality Shift, Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver, Brain Maggot, etc for more exile shenanigans.
