I am in a RL sealed league where we currently have 194 cards and must build a 44 card deck. We will add 2 or 3 packs per month depending on ranking and 4 cards to the deck min size each month until we reach a 60 cards deck. Here is the pool: https://deckbox.org/sets/2029131
Would you change anything from it? Maybe switch the wild onslaught for a broken bond? Keep in mind I am facing decks built from big pools so Helm of the host and Icy manipulators are very common in my opponents decks. Serra angel would be nice to integrate, but Thalid Omnivore would be more synergic. Vicious offering is also tempting. But what to cut? What about Sylvan awakening? With both Grow from the ashes and the Skittering surveyor, it can become a win condition.
I just started another round of our friendly sealed league. We start with 12 packs and must build a 40 card deck.
Here is my pool: https://deckbox.org/sets/1697432?s=a&o=a
Here is a -1 GBr deck that I built from it: https://deckbox.org/sets/1700813 (password insight)
And a GRw Exhaust deck https://deckbox.org/sets/1700814 (password insight)
Both decks are pretty solid, gut the GBr is slightly super I think. I am wondering how to make them better.
The -1 deck has one minor flaw: the Merciless Javelineer requires me to discard cards and I want to land drop as much as possible to cast Sandwurm Convergence, so they work against each other.
I did make a BW Zombie deck, but I do not think it is as strong as the 2 other ones. https://deckbox.org/sets/1700819 (password insight)
Witch deck is better? Any change recommendation or new deck suggestion?
I lost to a deck with 2 Elusive Tormentor. We had a board stall and he beat me with his unblockable / hexproof /indestructible monstrocity. How are we supposed to beat this card? He can flip it when I try to use removal...
I have a single card I can trade with a guy. Since this league will last at 4 more cards per month up to 60 cards, I am thinking the option to go for is the bomb Altered Ego I am already splashing for. He wants my Anguished Unmaking for it and there is not much synergy so I am reluctant.
Other potential trades vs my Tooth Collector: Graf Mole (obvious synergy with clues, lets me last longer with good defense stats and gaining life. Veteran Cathar works with 95% of my creatures for my GWu deck, costly, but the threat is often all it takes for a creature to go trough Erdwal Illuminator for my GU clue deck (my test show great promise for this option) Ongoing Investigation for my GU deck
What is the better deck? Did I miss a potential deck?
What would you trade?
Crows are the best way to enable delirium and they often go unchecked. However, you have only a single cards using delirium so it's not that crucial.
You have some great removal. Your deck seems a bit slow overall with little to no 2 casting cost creatures so I would keep that pacifist. It has great end game.
Also, I tend to include slayer's plate in every deck but I am biased.
You are correct, I really tried to integrate white. I tried combining white and black and there is just no synergy. White and green is what works the best, but it is less consistent than the delirium BG deck. I am wondering if I should integrate Tamiyo's Journal in the BG so it doesn't slow down after a while.
Yeah I ended up switching Wicker Witch for Might Beyond Reason so I have one more instant for delirium, one that beneficiates from delirium as well.
We started another limited league where we add packs every month to our pool and produce a deck bigger and bigger. This is the first month and the card minimum is 40 cards
Notable additions to my pool: Ainok Bond-Kin: Awesome card, I included it Mer-Ek Nightblade: I included it for its synergy with the 3 Ainok Bond-Kin and because it makes the Disowned Ancestor a solid defense at only +1. Herald of Anafenza: I think this might be to slow to incorporate. Expensive to outlast, I have no use for tokens but chump block. Doesnt Help the beatsmaster Ruthless Ripper: might be worth to include for its speed to ping early or to give me time to outlast my early creatures. Bonus 2 damage on flip. Double bonus if I can get a +1 counter on it and first strike Guardian Shield-Bearer: nice way to spread +1 for cheap early while building the board
I removed Ugin as he often backfired when doing a board wipe when I had suspension fields in play
I removed Ghostfire blade as I had 0 morph and got less and less out of it because of that. I have tons of mana sink already with outlast and I prefer to have a counters that trigger outlast abilities.
I included 1 Ainok Bond-Kin and 1 Mer-Ek Nightblade and 1 Guardian Shield-Bearer and 1 Opulent Palace. Reasoning: I want more creatures on the boards to push further the outlast synergy
Thanks! I like it a lot as well. Month of May is 54 cards minimum. I got my hands on a second Hardened Scales and I think it is worth it. Most game where I get it early, I dominate because of it. He didnt have any Sandsteppe Citadel
I would add a plain as my 24th land and a second Hardened Scales making it a crazy solid 54 card deck.
April update.
Deck minimum is now 52 cards.
I opened 3 dragon and 3 khan packs
Notable additions: High Sentinels of Arashin auto-include, Im so happy. Perfect synergy with the deck. Sunscorch Regent Auto-include. Once again, another flyer and +1/+1 generator. Awesome replacements for the Wollys Feat of Resistance My second one. Im loving it Murderous Cut Good removal and finally I can make use of my graveyard.
Multiple double lands and I got a sandsteppe citadel via trade in march
Other: Shieldhide Dragon Nice that it can be used early and end game, but the 7 for megamorph is pretty expensive Enduring Victory Good removal, instant, +1+1 generator, but costly Epic Confrontation Good removal that doesnt require Ferocious Savage Punch Again, good removal with boosted creature for follow up during attack phase, but more conditional Center Soul I prefer the Feats, but the rebound sure does sound good to sometimes slip in some damage the turn after protecting my creature Collected Company Good card, but not for my deck
Available trades in the order I think I need them: Ivorytusk Fortress Perfect synergy with my +1+1 deck as it will let me outlast and attack more than I normally would Necropolis Fiend Would help add endgame pressure with a powerful flyer with removal ability Wildcall Awesome at any stage of the game, has a chance of hitting a creature and making it a game changer.
I hope he finds a rare that he likes in my pool, but from my discusson with him it is more likely he will want an uncommon. Here are my best options: Armament Corps Great Mer-Ek Nightblade Deathtouch would be usefull. Ainok first strike combo is game changer Sandsteppe Citadel I think I got enough manafix Echoes of the kin tree I think I got enough manasink
Here is a GWb saproling deck that I think is best: https://deckbox.org/sets/2029132?s=c&o=a

Alternative UR wizard deck with strong removal: https://deckbox.org/sets/2029133
What is the best 44 deck you would build out of this pool?

I still have 3 possible decks (44 cards minimum):
GWu Human Clue: https://deckbox.org/sets/1401639?s=c&o=a password: insight (solid but vulnerable to flyers)
GB Delirium Clue: https://deckbox.org/sets/1397196?s=c&o=a password: insight (less consistent, but when it works, it is fast and efficient)
And a crazy idea, GU clue token deck: https://deckbox.org/sets/1404706 password: insight

I would remove the same cards suggested by Phasehifter: Harvest hand and Thornhide wolves
Yeah I ended up switching Wicker Witch for Might Beyond Reason so I have one more instant for delirium, one that beneficiates from delirium as well.
I will take a look at your pool shortly.
Here is the pool: https://deckbox.org/sets/1383209
I made 2 potential decks:
A GB that wants to trigger delirium ASAP: https://deckbox.org/sets/1385295 pw: insight
A GW deck that tries to synergise humans, clues and equipment: https://deckbox.org/sets/1383215 pw: insight
So far my test show more consistency with the GB.
Please help me tweak or select the right deck to win this league!

Is Guardian Shield-Bearer worth it instead of Ruthless Ripper?
Updated deck (missing my trade card): https://deckbox.org/sets/1001921 pw : insight

Here is my deck with 52 cards and 23 lands: https://deckbox.org/sets/941778 Password insight. I included a sideboard with my best options.
What should I get and what should I replace? Should I play both bitter revelations?
Of course, I must still mention Retribution of the Ancients that is tempting to include with so much +1+1 generators
I am looking forward for this forum's insight.
