Yea i saw that, been thinking about it, I am curious but not sold. I don't see many counters on my board before someone board wipes or picks off my creatures. It's probably worth testing at least.
Saheeli is much worse then feldon in the deck. We should be swinging out, meaning she will immediately die after one activation more often then not. Feldon can lead to small incremental advantages, to complete blowouts, or just swinging away. With enough haste enablers he should be live more often then not right when you play him.
Don't understand this hate for the red one, There is two things red wants to do. Burn stuff or draw more damage sources. This does either or, sure it can whiff, but if you had three lands on top when you cast this, you'd be glad that you are three cards closer to your big spells and not land flooded. I think it's much more solid then folks give it credit for.
The blue one is silly good, in a control shell, just casting it to cryptic command for free sounds amazing.
White, green and black to me are all similar shades of "meh" to me.
I actually like this variant of the deck, it looks fun, and i've been looking for more things to justify adding an arcbound ravager to my marchesa build.
Wow, riptide shapeshifter is kind of awesome, I want to test it for sure
*Edit*
I don't think it's worth testing. I think it is worth including. In my list it nabs over half the deck at instant speed, making it probably stronger then fleshwrither in utility even though it costs more mana.
Being able to name these and not whiff or get the wrong creatures:
bird for strix
cleric for mikeous
rat for crypt rats
advisor for imperial recruiter
merfolk for sage of fables
knight for olivia
shapeshifter for a clone
golem for solemn
soldier for xiahou dun
illusion of aura thief
skeleton for dimir house guard
ooze for necrotic ooze
beast for river kelpie
dragon for scourge
devil for flayer
demon for rune-scarred
praetor for urabrask
warrior for grim-grin
i thought about marionette master, if it didn't cost 6, I could see it for straight up token generation. between the 4 bodies getting +4 damage every swing with dethrone and having lifeloss on death could've been solid. That said I think our other 6 mana options are stronger, namely if I was looking for a token producer, I would go for grave titan.
Yea profaner is a workhorse, usually never sad to draw it. I keep looking at Noxious Gearhulk and seeing potential. I feel like it is a better version of shadowborn demon for those that still run it, and it gives us a way to bring our life back up in a pinch. Seeing this kill a huge general for a big life swing may make it worth testing.
From a power standpoint - should be a mythic!
From an interest standpoint - why is this a mythic?
I feel like what could have been a powerful interesting green mythic is just overbearingly strong and not very interesting. That said, the art is amazing and this thing is a slam dunk for a mirrodin cube.
Oh and feldon....
