Feb 4, 2014OOD SIGMA posted a message on Launch Giveaway! My favorite card of all time would have to be Profane Command.First reason would be a very good friend of mine gave it to me as a "graduation card". Second reason would be, it was during, it was during Llorwyn block that I really started to pick up in skill, after playing for many many years. During that time Black White Tokens was the deck to beat, so I opted towards Green Black Elves. While the deck was built very solid, it was Profane Command that won me numerous games. This card really is such a strong tool box card, always having a key part to play in every match and always being a game changer. I fell so in love with it so much, that I played it in Extended(ha) and Legacy again always pushing me forward. Thank you!Posted in: Announcements

I am looking or a judge call on a situation that happened to me this weekend and I would really like to get clarification on the End of the turn phase.
My opponent moved to his End of Turn Phase, where he had no effects, I then cast spells which he allowed to resolve. He then starts to cast spells stating"at the end of the turn I cast..".
From what I understand, After an opponent passes priority and allows my spells to resolve, then that phase moves on.
Help is greatly appreciated!

I think you want 1-2 more Hunted Dead because it triggers Prized Amalgam and provides a 1/1 for Smuggler's Copter.
4 Scrapheap Scrounger
4 Haunted Dead
4 Prized Amalgam
3 Noose Constrictor
4 Elder Deep-Fiend
2 Cryptbreaker
1 Wretched Gryff
Instant (7)
4x Grapple with the Past
3x Kozilek's Return
Sorcery (5)
4x Traverse the Ulvenwald
1x Dark Salvation
Artifact (2)
2x Smuggler's Copter
Land (24)
4x Aether Hub
3x Blooming Marsh
2x Botanical Sanctum
4x Evolving Wilds
1x Forest
2x Island
2x Sanctum of Ugin
4x Sunken Hollow
2x Swamp
1x Invasive Surgery
2x Negate
2x Natural State
1x Emrakul, the Promised End
2x Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
2x Collective Brutality
2x Lost Legacy
1 Liliana, the Last Hope
I actually used Jace, Memory Adept in my side at a PTQ, it let me a game and round with it.
Other cards I think are worth mentioning for these slots are Obzedat, Ghost Council and Ætherling. The goal is to have a powerful creature that can survive being killed or removed.
I believe that card only helps against Mutavault. I also wouldn't want to bounce back any Fanatic of Mogis or Gray Merchant. I'll test and out soon and see how it does. The other thing to remember is keeping a good curve, a lot of players are going to Aethersize and Sphinx's Revelation. Clogging up the late game is no good in my opinion.
We all love winning with Maze's End (obviously) but I feel we need some type of threat to add to the board. Bringing Crackling Perimeter from the side to the main does the job. It also frees up some space for more hate cards in the side.
Gatecreeper Vine is a card that is so hard not to play. It can be more fog, negate, or kill. However thinning your deck early game and getting the lands you need help a lot. It chumps nicely as well!
As far as sideboard goes, the two most different cards are Blood Baron of Vizkopa and Rapid Hybridization. There is one card that destroys me, Obzedat. I chose Rapid over Turn//Burn. With 3 Revoke Existence, we have Gods covered, so it allows us to play Rapid which hits a wide range of bombs.
Blood Baron is to have that surprise threat against black. Black is by far the worse deck I come into contact with. This card gives me the edge and works well if Sphinx's Revelation is in the main.
4x Gatecreeper Vine
Instant
4x Fog
4x Druid's Deliverance
4x Riot Control
2x Negate
Sorcery
4x Supreme Verdict
3x Urban Evolution
2x Merciless Eviction
3x Detention Sphere
2x Crackling Perimeter
1x Bow of Nylea
Planeswalker
1x Kiora, the Crashing Wave
Land
4x Maze's End
2x Azorius Guildgate
2x Simic Guildgate
2x Selesnya Guildgate
2x Gruul Guildgate
2x Golgari Guildgate
2x Boros Guildgate
2x Rakdos Guildgate
2x Izzet Guildgate
2x Dimir Guildgate
2x Orzhov Guildgate
1x Breeding Pool
1x Hallowed Fountain
1x Temple Garden
3x Saruli Gatekeepers
3x Revoke Existence
3x Rapid Hybridization
2x Blood Baron of Vizkopa
2x Gainsay
1x Crackling Perimeter
1x Merciless Eviction
Also, if you have looked at my lists in the past I have played a good amount of card advantage, playing Magma Jet, Needle Drop, and Temple of Triumph. I have been thinking about Thunderous Wrath and how it works very well with scry, which lead me to wanting to scrap Needle Drop and replace it with Spark Jolt. I understand that those cards only deal one damage but the advantage of cycling lands and possibly hitting Thunderous Wrath could be huge.
Congrats letates!
4x Goblin Guide
4x Vexing Devil
4x Keldon Marauders
Instant/Sorcery:
4x Boros Charm
4x Lava Spike
4x Lightning Bolt
4x Needle Drop
4x Rift Bolt
4x Skullcrack
3x Magma Jet
3x Shard Volley
4x Battlefield Forge
4x Temple of Triumph
10x Mountains
Needle Drop is still very situational card, it works great if they are pinging or shocking themselves from lands, as well as working with the deck in general, however I am always thinking what if it was just another burn spell?
Here is a new Aggro list I will be tinkering with soon.
4x Goblin Guide
4x Hellspark Elemental
4x Keldon Marauders
4x Vexing Devil
3x Young Pyromancer
4x Lighting Bolt
4x Rift Bolt
4x Lava Spike
4x Skullcrack
4x Bump in the Night
3x Shard Volley
*Edit*
I took out Grim Lavamancer for Young Pyromancer and Boros Charm for Bump in the Night
Silly Me forgot that part.
I would say that Searing Blaze is now a more relevant card and having some type of board sweeper in the 75 is key.
What about Flamebreak?
Also, with Zoo, B/W tokens, and anything running Bitter Blossom on the horizon, could Goblin Guide loose it's standing in the deck? Another thing, I feel as if Keldon Maurader, Hellspark Elemental, and Vexing Devil are a bit more playable for us. Thoughts?
As for the land base:
Lands
With a land base like this, is it comparable to fetches and duals?
Is Deathright Shaman really that good in this deck?
