both are way more interesting and creative; scavenger may be ugly but it gets my attention right away with its weirdness and palette; and while WoC is low hanging fruit, at the very least it is menacing and unique, just lazily executed
I'm sorry for the off topic, but do you have a good word for even stuff like the horribly cartoonish Giant Strength from Legends or Dragon Mask? Seriously, when I was 8 I draw better honestly.
Are you kidding? Ok this is clearly not modern, legacy or even standard playable but this effect is totally worth at seven mana. Normally any "control target permanent" with a permanent effect cost always between 6-7 mana and not only this leaves a body behind, not only it's not an aura, not only even if he leaves the battlefield the thing is still yours forever, but it's higly abusable due to blink effects and such. And we have to talk about the last effect? in EDH is very common to steal other opponents stuff ( Dack Fayden, Bribery, Blatant Thievery, Gilded Drake etc) so not only this is a card absolutely bonkers for spellthiefing decks but is good enough to see play in every generic deck that plays blue. Love to take care or that eldrazi or Bolas or Ugin
So playing a land with Yarok out will have you double the trigger.
Oh cool, so double not "+1" trigger. So, if I have 100 permanents that cares about things entering the battlefield and I put a permanent on play, all those 100 cards triggers a double time. The Panaharmonicon works at the same way right?
No, both add a trigger, not "Double" triggers. But, each trigger triggers an additional time which means that with only Yarok, "additional" and "double" are effectively the same thing. With Yarok and 100 Rampaging Baloths, you will get 200 triggers to create Beasts when a land enters.
Yeah sorry I mis-wrote. What I meant is that Yarok and Pan make every card you control that trigger when something ETB, triggering again their abilities all of them at same time and not just to choose only one of them.
But I was wondering : if Yarok actually got the text "Whenever a permanent entering the battlefield causes a triggered ability of a permanent you control to trigger, that ability triggers an additional time.", would the example of the 100 Baloths works exactly in the same way, so that "If / whenever" have synonymous meaning for this matter?

I have to ask this : Let's say I got Null Profusion and Recycle in play with this legend. I play a Fleshbag Marauder. I have to choose only one ability of those 3 cards to copy again, or every trigger of every of those cards with triggered abilities gonna trigger again at the same time?
Now, about the black dino that's an incredible low drawback for such a big body at 3 mana. Not only that, discarding can be even an advantage and an engine for many decks and archetypes. This thing definitely will see competitive play somewhere. Not to mention that with empty hand the drawback is straight non-existing, making him a great topdeck in late game too. Ok no evasion and no protection but we can't have everything from life. It's already a very good guy on its own. Never saw in all magic history such big non conditional stats (for example counting creatures in play or graveyards) at just 3 mana with such an easy work around drawback
lol, a Reddit user mentioned that Kykar could be a vehicle commander, because he creates crews to pilot those things. It makes sense though, since Parhelion II's hideous cost could be ameliorated by saccing tokens to generate mana to cast it, while all vehicles casted ahead of time would fuel his arrival.
I should also add convoke spells onto the list.
Notably, even all current colored veichles exist only on all Kykar's colors.
I can not conprehend why ya'll think this Kalia is bad. It's a Mantis Rider without haste, but instead draws 1 - 2 cards immediately, which means more gas !
It's crappy in commander as a commander. Especially when compared to old Kaalia. I guess overall power level is fine for 1vs1 20 lifes competitive magic.
I really wondering if is Commander a subpart of Magic or every Magic's set nowadays is just a subpart of Commander.
That said, sad that the original Kaalia seems to strong for standard or even modern and we have to see this crap instead but super happy about the new colorless legend.

Ok, In EDH maybe Inalla is the only one that could be interested in her....but seven mana. ugh. Still for very casual and relaxed play.

That actually isn't an explanation, since all the others PW from this core set got already a card in War anyway....
We officially have the strongest card ever made for that format.
Anyway I think I will start to run a Seb Mckinnon EDH art tribal, with Aminatou, Fateshifter as general (also this card is perfect for that deck)
