Well, it does require you to have a burn spell and a creature on the battlefield (both satyr himself and a creature to burn) to get all of the advantage. It isnt all that bad and restrictive, though, but i personally do not like that combo, just for reasons mentioned earlier, i would rather have a decent creature or a burn off of my topdeck than this little fella.
I would also like to point out that Purphoros is great with the Hordelling Outburst and it loses quite a bit of its value without this card. And while Hammer gives you additional devotion and can eventually even activate god, i would consider adding some hall of triumph, maybe 1 of, because the effect of them combined is 3 2/2 haste goblins that shoot lasers from their eyes and dont die to anger of the gods just because they can. It will certainly raise a curve and maybe it doesnt worth it, but im open to suggestions
Seems pretty crazy. Its not sligh, so rabbles should be 4 of. War-names are pretty weak, and i dont see frenzied goblins in your list - try to swap them a little.
And 18 mountains are just 1 land short to cast 3cmc on time in my opinion. 17 lands are getting to my 2 lands pretty stable, but usually i get 3rd land at turn 5, maybe 4 - just an observation, maybe helpful for a deck with 11 2cmcs and 8 3+cmcs.
Peak Eruption is great against Mardu of all sorts, if you are not sure about meta PE is somewhat safe pick. Be sure to see at least A mountain and A chainedtorocks to side that in though.
Some thoughts: This deck is really weak against fatties with 5 ot more toughness, we hsve no answers. It's also really weak to Elspeth, and Sylvan Carytid (sp?) really slows us down.
What about hammerhand and flare? Hammerhand would be quite good with speaker because of his ds, less effective overall but hey.
Act of Treason is good but i would prefer flare, because of chumps and dorks, which would lower the effectivity of treaten effect. When its just some lone guy its ok but when he's got little buddies ready to block him flare is just better i think
I'm currently using this build, it can deliver EXPLOSIONS, but against siege rhino and any drown in sorrow decks it's highly unstable, so while i seemingly can't check siege problem, drown in sorrow looks quite avoidable. What else there is excluding Hall of Triumph which i'm considering right now?
Hammer is a no-no for me, most games end even before my third landdrop, but i could see some sb action with lands and hammer (though it seems very strange).
Thanks. The fact that its not only the comparison of db and up, but the whole picture with blights - well, i missed it.
And besides, ultimate price does not kill nvs, my mistake.
I suppose that multiple discards do deal with this fascinating deck's primary survival conditions, so, pretty much easy win - but those decks never make it to high tables anyways
What about this 4 downfall, 2 bb, 2 devor flesh, 2 ultimate price. Are we all against doom blade main??
Doom Blade leaves you too vulnerable to large amount of very dangerous creatures, like t2 pack rat or nightveil, and thats only two top decks, tier2 decks have 4/5 gorgon, dreg mangler, so i wouldn't recommend playing doom blade game1. Yes, ultimate price does miss ruric thar or fleecemane lion, but it does kill fair amount of creatures in most decks, except for some dega midrange decks maybe. So, the most interesting thing for me is whether ro play 2 drown in sorrow main or not.
I have 3 threats in my meta - gw aggro, bg aggro-midrange (even the author's not sure what this build is, but it's pretty solid) and an esper control, against which i struggle the most.
Currently, im running this stock list, no changes made so far
4 pack rat
4 nvs
4 desdemon
4 grays
4 connections
4 downfall
4 duress (only because i don't have thoughtseizes right now)
4 bile blight
2 devour
26 lands
3 temple ub
1 temple br
22 swamps (mutavaults are the same)
Think im going to swap 2 nvs for lbz, so 2 nvs and 2 lvz int the maindeck - thats first thing to consider
What else i should to prevail this Gw\b decks and still not lose to control match-up in dirst game? (mostly to prevail Gw\b decks)

>>+2/+2 trumps the 3 CMC sweepers in the format.
More like, the one exact sweeper that is drown in sorrow, which i am doing right now
