I honestly don't understand how this could possibly be Dragon's Maze tier bad; especially value wise like sephirothx said. Maze had like 12 cards worth more then $1. 2 of which where tokens, and only 4 of which where standard playable at one point. This set will have more than a handful of cards that will be $1 or more, imo it will have more value to it then Dragon's Maze. Brimaz, Kiora, and all of the gods will have appeal in a wide variety of places. Brimaz, Ephara, and Xenagos are standard playable right of the bat, and Mogis has potential to be standard playable as well. Kiora, Karametra, and Phenax will be wanted by casuals and edh players.
That's just the mythics, we also have Spirit of the Labyrinth, Pain Seer, Courser of Kruphix, and the temples. Compare all of that to the 12 or so decent to playable cards in Dragon's Maze, and you will see that this isn't as bad as that set.
Well I got my Kiora, Kiora's Follower is amazing for UGx, and Courser of Kruphix is good for Gx base decks aswell. I personally like the Mythics and the uncommons in this set allot. Brimaz will boost white weenies which is nice, Ephara is pretty neat for UWx, GRx got allot of cool new toys, and I'm sure Mogis will find a place in standard in the future.
Overall the rares are pretty lackluster, but the set looks really fun for limited. It seems to me that this set has potential to boost allot of decks that weren't really standard relevant outside of fnm, and it also has potential to put allot of variety into the standard metagame aswell. I have been playing this game since Dragon's Maze came out, and had experience with RTR and Gatecrash aswell; that being said this set isn't horrible per say, but it isn't great either.
So to put it into short I think this set is pretty fun limited wise, has future potential, but is lackluster overall.
This card doesn't change "when you can play lands" or "how many lands you can play". All it changes is where you can play lands from.
The top card of your library is always revealed, the top card of your library just sits there on top of you library for all to see all the time.
So on your turn, you draw your card.
Then during your main phase, if the top card of your library is a land and you haven't play a land already, you may play it from there. Just as if it were in his hand.
IDK why I can't wrap my mind around this. But do I draw for turn, then if the top card is a land I can play it? What happens if the top card of my deck is a land before I draw, do I play it or place it in my hand, and then I may use the ability to play the land from top of my deck?
No, you're still only allowed to play the lands any time you normally could. You can't normally play a land until your first main phase, and that fact holds true even with the new guy on the field.
Of course I've been known to be wrong, but I'm 80% sure of this one...
So would the scenario be like this?
My turn draw for turn, if top card is land, play the land with Courser? If so like I said idk why it couldn't wrap around my brain, this should be basic for me, especially since I have been playing for 8 months now. Now I see why it's so good.
No. it means you're drawing an extra card around every three turns. You only draw the extra card if you have a land on top, and you can play that land. Assuming a deck of around 40% lands and that you will draw some lands you can't play from the top, you don't really increase the number of cards you draw by that much. The fact that they are lands does help hit land drops somewhat, but overall, the card advantage generated is fairly low.

So after I play a land with Courser, I can still draw a card? Does the ability kick in before I actually draw my card for turn?
I don't know why my brain can't wrap around this, but it's probably because I'm a bit sick. I get how this is good with Domri since it filters, and basically guarantees you get a creature after proper filtering, but why exactly is it good with Kiora? All I got from this is that it's a good card to protect Kiora in UG, but other then that isn't it just essentially letting you play 2 lands with Kiora, which she technically does if you have a land in hand anyways?
The wave behind Kiora being similar to an obscure japanese painting means we're definitely returning to Kamigawa!!!!
I hereby present you
A random comic panel by Maro confirms return to Zendikar!!!

Well since I had no idea this was old, it is not exactly in the same line as. The wave behind Kiora being similar to an obscure japanese painting means we're definitely returning to Kamigawa!!!! I mean this was posted by Maro, and someone who has no idea what it is can assume that it hints at Return to Zendikar, especially since it was posted today in the midst of holiday spoiler season. The wave thing was just plain stupid, this one is misinformed, learn the difference.
