Hey y'all. So my girlfriend has decided she wants to get legacy staples to have a nice little nest egg. With this I am getting back into legacy from modern. So what deck has the mostt staples in it? I play everything across the map but I love combo and control. I'm looking at spending about $2000 and would like to have most/all of the deck done and fullly carded out. Thanks y'all
SDT helps combo more because card quality. With control you MIGHT find a mana leak or sphinx rev. With combo, you find your combo way faster. End of turn spin top. No combo? Fetch and spin, oh look my combo.
So as far as uwr and twin is concerned: I've been playing uwr control post ban and honestly the kikki finish is what I wait for nine times out of ten. I feel like I'm playing a worse twin deck. How good of a control deck is twin, and comparing to UWR.
Totally highjacking this thread. I'm trying to start all proxy modern tourneys using printed color proxies in the twin cities. Would any of y'all be down?
Hey guys, my son was watching YouTube and found a primer for this and I was curious, how easy is this deck to run? Can a seven year old who can decently run scapeshift handle it? Also, how important is packed rat? I've never been impressed with it.
It's very impressive he can play Scapeshift decently at that age.
Anyone can play 8Rack, but playing it efficiently is another story. It takes a long time to learn all the nuances which are sometimes critical to edge out wins. At least some of those would probably be lost on him until he's older, but he could still play and enjoy the deck, I think.
If you've never liked Pack Rat, as I said to someone else, run less of them.
he knows he needs seven lands, scapeshift, and backup counterspells. The only thing he really needs to work on is lightning bolt is removal more than burn. Other than that he has it down. I'm proxying out the deck today and I'll share how it goes with him.
