Been running a few of them myself and I don't think there's been a single game it was bad. It's been especially good with Grim Lavamancer for both providing protection against Forked Bolt, and fueling the graveyard.
I think another ooze in the side could be what you're looking for. Hits lingering souls and finks/redcap. Alternatively Tormod's Crypt will do the same thing albeit less effectively, but it doesn't effect your curve and can help against the odd grave yard deck(Living End/Goryo). And of course Vines of Vastwood is always nice.
Been experimenting with different stuff online in tournament practice, this is what I'm on now. Really unsure about the sideboard.
Yeah fortunately I play online where they're a lot cheaper than paper I got the set for $260(65 each) a couple months ago before the modern season started. Goyf can really beat down, but can also just be a huge wall that buys you time to set up a Death Cloud. If you manage to land one after a death cloud it's usually a 5/6.
Picked this deck up recently online, and I gotta say it's got some serious game. My list is a little bit old school, so I could use a little bit of advice from somebody who's more experienced with a more recent version.
Why doesn't this deck play Blood Moon? Not sure if it's a stupid question or not, but fetching a couple of islands and 1 mountain and you're good to keep playing with it on the field. Blood Moon shuts off Modern's greedy mana bases.
If you mean maindeck it could be good in the right meta. But the three reasons not to play it would be it doesn't flip delver, it's potentially a dead draw, and it requires you to tap out on turn 3. I think it could merit some testing though.
As an aside has anyone playing the SSS version tested Scion of Oona?
Just started playing this deck as for the Affinity match I've opted towards running a Stomping Ground as a single green source for access to Ancient Grudge as it allows me to use Engineered Explosives to better use as well. I feel this way you aren't dedicating sideboard slots to a single match-up, granted Shatterstorm/Hurkyl's Recall often win the game on the spot.
Someone at my LGS also said that Hurky's Recall is a good sideboard card. I am just wondering, why is it good? I mean, granted, you are able to return all of the artifacts back to the opponent's hand, but Affinity can just empty the hand right back next turn.
The effect it has is highly variable depending on what their board looks like. Yes some times they will be able to drop everything back the next turn, but often they're only going to have 2-3 mana available meaning if you bounce multiple 2/3 drops(plating, ravager, etched champ, overseer) they will only be able to put one back into play which. You also reset any +1/+1 counters on a ravager, or that have accumulated from a steel overseer. If they happen to have activated any of the 8 manlands those will be bounced too along with Darksteel Citadel, and Glimmervoid will most likely die. Recall is also an instant meaning you can cast it on their attack step or EoT meaning you get your entire turn before they get to reestablish their board at which point you might have a counterspell up.

It's not a bad choice I've seen lists online using it, but the problem is the 2cc is kind of expensive and hard to keep up when you want to be playing your threats.
How's the singleton Spell Pierce working for you? Most people run 2 Pierce so they have a better chance at drawing it. I'd agree on cutting a grudge for wear/tear since there's no other affinity players in your meta.
Been playing Affinity for a few months now and I just don't like the inconsistency of the deck. I like the multiple lines of play it gives you, and I like aggressive strategies. I'm not too attached to any type of deck as long as it's not a really grindy attrition/control deck. I want something tier 1/1.5 as I play MTGO dailies.

How good is Delver I've never played with it before. I understand a flipped Delver on turn 2/3 is an effecient clock, but after that it seems like a weak draw.

I have very little idea of what a good sideboard would look like if I could get some advice there as well.
