Apr 21, 2015kamakazi339 posted a message on The Shambling HordeI originally built this deck with rooftop storm in mind then I realized most of my spells cost less than the storm its self. Honestly after 1 is on the field then I would just be dead drawing. I might sideboard it. Im glad you like my decks! Feel free to gimme any tips you think of =)Posted in: Kama's Deck Selection

I have done a bit of testing so far and it seems as though 24 lands might be too many. I am also struggling with keeping relevant threats around if they board wipe me. I had an opponent Yahenni's Expertise me twice within 3 turns and then just pounce in when I drew 3-4 lands in a row.
I was wondering if anyone has better ideals for removal as well as the creature suite primarily. The sideboard is a toss up as well but I know I want to add in at least a couple of copies of Yahenni's Expertise and cards such as [/c]Crook of Condemnation[/c] to slow and or defeat graveyard decks. I know fatal push would be an obvious step up in removal but I want to make sure I have no condition removal. Also, I know it is a long shot but id like to find an exile spell or some other spell to deal with all of the indestructible gods running around
Thanks for any input
4x Bone Picker
4x Dreamstealer
4x Herald of Anguish
4x Wretched Camel
3x Lay Bare the Heart
3x Never // Return
4x Painful Lesson
4x Torment of Hailfire
3x Essence Extraction
3x Rush of Vitality
Land (24)
4x Ifnir Deadlands
20x Swamp
Plus Ambuscade has no downside compared to beast within
4 Mistcutter Hydra
4 Permeating Mass
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
2 Paleoloth
3 Giant Adephage
4 Gaea's Revenge
2 Craterhoof Behemoth
4 Tangle Golem
4x Elvish Mystic
4x See the Unwritten
Instants (2)
2x Noxious Revival
Enchantments (2)
2x Primeval Bounty
Lands(24)
24 Mosswort Bridge
This might be a bit of a disliked ideal but I really think we need at least one more form of ramp in this deck. Thus, I am adding 4 Elvish Mystic
I would also like to point out that Craterhoof Beheamoth is technically over priced. However, at $11 ill let the one card slide
Glyph Keeper
Torrential Gearhulk
Sphinx of the Final Word
I also find Imprisoned in the Moon to be a good response to anything that happens to stick.
If you want to see my list it should be in my signature below under Disciple of Control.
4 Mistcutter Hydra
4 Permeating Mass
4 Sakura-Tribe Elder
4 Werebear
2 Paleoloth
3 Giant Adephage
4x See the Unwritten
Instants (2)
2x Noxious Revival
Enchantments (2)
2x Primeval Bounty
24 Mosswort Bridge
I was doing a bit of a search for modern creatures that would be cool to hit off of see the unwritten.
Gaea's Revenge
Engulfing Slagwurm
Giant Adephage
Moldgraft Monstrosity
Myojin of Life's Web
I really like Giant Adephage due to its flavor synergy with permeating mass. I also like Myojin of Life's Web for the ability to throw more creatures on board. That being said I'm going to add three Giant Adephage for the pure flavor. If we have drawn the board out into a bunch of permeating masses we can overrun theirs and keep beating in with our new copies
Since this deck is so Mana intensive might I suggest 8 post?
Most of the rest of what I was going to say has already been stated.
This deck relies more on combat tricks to get in surprise amounts of damage i.e. Adorned pouncer getting in for 2 quickly becomes 8 with a highspire infusion.
3x Adorned Pouncer
4x Grim Flayer
2x Ishkanah, Grafwidow
3x Mindwrack Demon
4x Narnam Renegade
4x Scrapheap Scrounger
2x Traverse the Ulvenwald
Instants (13)
2x Anguished Unmaking
4x Blossoming Defense
4x Fatal Push
3x Highspire Infusion
Artifacts (3)
3x Renegade Map
4x Blooming Marsh
4x Concealed Courtyard
4x Evolving Wilds
4x Forest
1x Plains
5x Swamp
This deck relies on straight values creatures. Renegade Rallier can come in and bring your Grim Flayers after combat or even after they have been hit by removal. This soaks up removal spells and gives you the advantage.
3x Greenwheel Liberator
4x Grim Flayer
2x Ishkanah, Grafwidow
3x Mindwrack Demon
1x Noxious Gearhulk
4x Renegade Rallier
4x Scrapheap Scrounger
2x Traverse the Ulvenwald
Instants (9)
2x Anguished Unmaking
3x Blossoming Defense
4x Fatal Push
Artifacts (3)
3x Renegade Map
Enchantments (3)
3x Unbridled Growth
4x Blooming Marsh
4x Concealed Courtyard
4x Evolving Wilds
4x Forest
1x Plains
5x Swamp
Both of these decks run generally the same sideboard
3x Transgress the Mind
2x Yahenni's Expertise
2x Appetite for the Unnatural
3x Grasp of Darkness
1x To the Slaughter
2x Heart of Kiran
Enchantments (2)
2x Cast Out
I realize that you are running strictly G/B delirium but adding white opens up a large array of exile affects. I have showed my boards to reflect some of the more important pieces. Cards such as Cast Out take care of big indestructible threats while cards such as Transgress the Mind can hit them before they even find the board. im not saying you'll sideboard at all but these are just some suggestions to deal with your buddies dropping the homebrewed fatties all over the place. In essence, I would suggest possibly moving into a shard for the exile effects. If this isn't something you want to do then I would at least suggest the removal in the form of Transgress and Grasp. I hope this helps
I have to agree with this statement. I find that I like much of the older artwork(especially the lands) from the older sets over the new artwork that is seen more recently.
For my host I would like to submit See the Unwritten
I realize this is two green build arounds in a row but I hope this wont annoy too many of you out there. To be honest I was torn between this and Starfield of Nyx but I think I've wanted to build around this card for a longer period of time.
Ban List: I would like to keep this deck within the Modern ban list
Budget: I would like to keep this deck to no more than $7 per card. This is to avoid Ulamog dot Deck (as well as keep the budget down to something someone like me could actually hope to afford).
All GMAD Rules apply! Have fun!
4x See the Unwritten
24x Mosswort Bridge
