Only if Lair of the Hydra is somehow a creature already.
The second option for spending the mana from Castle Garenbrig's last ability is "activate abilities of creatures", not "activate abilities of permanents that are not creatures but will be Real Soon Now".
But I think what you are saying is that Troll enters simply as a 3/3 only triggering Pelt once, correct?
Yes. The ability "Barkhide Troll enters the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it." creates a replacement effect that modifies Barkhide Troll's one (1) entry to the battlefield. It does not result in the Troll leaving and re-entering the battlefield at some unspecified time.
614.1. Some continuous effects are replacement effects. Like prevention effects (see rule 615),
replacement effects apply continuously as events happen—they aren’t locked in ahead of time. Such
effects watch for a particular event that would happen and completely or partially replace that event
with a different event. They act like “shields” around whatever they’re affecting.
614.1d Continuous effects that read “[This permanent] enters the battlefield . . .” or “[Objects] enter
the battlefield . . .” are replacement effects.
Follow-up question regarding sylvan anthem interaction. So say I have sylvan anthem in play and then cast pelt collector followed by dryad militant. Does Pelt get a +1/+1 counter when the Dryad comes out since Sylvan is in play?
Yes, assuming nothing else (like a prior counter) is boosting Pelt Collector's power. Dryad Militant enters the battlefield as a 3/2 due to Sylvan Anthem, and its power isn't even checked until Pelt Collector's triggered ability resolves.
Edit: See Rezzahan's response for my oversight on the last part of my original post.
611.3c Continuous effects that modify characteristics of permanents do so simultaneously with the
permanent entering the battlefield. They don’t wait until the permanent is on the battlefield and
then change it. Because such effects apply as the permanent enters the battlefield, they are
applied before determining whether the permanent will cause an ability to trigger when it enters
the battlefield.
Example: A permanent with the static ability “All white creatures get +1/+1” is on the
battlefield. A creature spell that would normally create a 1/1 white creature instead
creates a 2/2 white creature. The creature doesn’t enter the battlefield as 1/1 and then
change to 2/2.
608.2h If an effect requires information from the game (such as the number of creatures on the
battlefield), the answer is determined only once, when the effect is applied. If the effect requires
information from a specific object, including the source of the ability itself, the effect uses the
current information of that object if it’s in the public zone it was expected to be in; if it’s no
longer in that zone, or if the effect has moved it from a public zone to a hidden zone, the effect
uses the object’s last known information. See rule 113.7a. If an ability states that an object does
something, it’s the object as it exists—or as it most recently existed—that does it, not the
ability.
I don't see how someone could reach that conclusion. There is only one such ability and there is no reason for it to trigger more than once in the situation described.
Hi, I was wondering, playing Victimize , while it resolves i will target 2 creatures cards in my graveyard,
Targets are chosen while casting the spell, same as always.
115.1a An instant or sorcery spell is targeted if its spell ability identifies something it will affect by
using the phrase “target [something],” where the “something” is a phrase that describes an
object and/or player. The target(s) are chosen as the spell is cast; see rule 601.2c. (If an activated
or triggered ability of an instant or sorcery uses the word target, that ability is targeted, but the
spell is not.)
then i need to sacrifice a creature on the battlefield , we are debating if this is possible to use STEVE's ability to get lands.
Sakura-Tribe Elder's ability can only resolve if you activate that ability, which includes sacrificing Sakura-Tribe Elder as part of paying the cost for that ability. Sacrificing it for something else, such as the resolution of Victimize, has nothing to do with that ability.
118.10. Each payment of a cost applies to only one spell, ability, or effect. For example, a player can’t
sacrifice just one creature to activate the activated abilities of two permanents that each require
sacrificing a creature as a cost. Also, the resolution of a spell or ability doesn’t pay another spell or
ability’s cost, even if part of its effect is doing the same thing the other cost asks for.
I read players saying that Food Chain ‘s ability consists in sacrificing a creature
Were they talking about rules or strategy? Because I could easily see that cost being treated as a sacrifice for strategic purposes.
But as a rules question, you already have the answer from Rezzahan. A creature you control equipped with Assault Suit is still valid for paying the cost of Food Chain's ability.
If so does it mean i have 2 creatures attached to neceomancy? TIA
Never, although they both have a delayed trigger watching for Necromancy to leave the battlefield.
701.3a To attach an Aura, Equipment, or Fortification to an object or player means to take it from
where it currently is and put it onto that object or player. If something is attached to a permanent
on the battlefield, it’s customary to place it so that it’s physically touching the permanent. An
Aura, Equipment, or Fortification can’t be attached to an object or player it couldn’t enchant,
equip, or fortify, respectively.
303.4d An Aura can’t enchant itself. If this occurs somehow, the Aura is put into its owner’s
graveyard. An Aura that’s also a creature can’t enchant anything. If this occurs somehow, the
Aura becomes unattached, then is put into its owner’s graveyard. (These are state-based actions.
See rule 704.) An Aura can’t enchant more than one object or player. If a spell or ability would
cause an Aura to become attached to more than one object or player, the Aura’s controller
chooses which object or player it becomes attached to.

A copy is created even if the spell or ability that caused the delayed triggered ability to trigger has been countered by the time that delayed triggered ability resolves. The copy resolves before the original spell.
I had a tapped creature
Opponent plays Summary Judgment targeting my tapped creature
In response I cast Stony Strength targeting the same creature
Does the Summary Judgment fizzle due to no longer having a valid target? Or does it resolve normally because the target was valid when it cast?
Targets have to be valid when casting a spell. Otherwise, you are not casting the spell.
601.2c The player announces their choice of an appropriate object or player for each target the spell
requires. A spell may require some targets only if an alternative or additional cost (such as a
kicker cost) or a particular mode was chosen for it; otherwise, the spell is cast as though it did
not require those targets. Similarly, a spell may require alternative targets only if an alternative
or additional cost was chosen for it. If the spell has a variable number of targets, the player
announces how many targets they will choose before they announce those targets. In some
cases, the number of targets will be defined by the spell’s text. Once the number of targets the
spell has is determined, that number doesn’t change, even if the information used to determine
the number of targets does. The same target can’t be chosen multiple times for any one instance
of the word “target” on the spell. However, if the spell uses the word “target” in multiple places,
the same object or player can be chosen once for each instance of the word “target” (as long as
it fits the targeting criteria). If any effects say that an object or player must be chosen as a target,
the player chooses targets so that they obey the maximum possible number of such effects
without violating any rules or effects that say that an object or player can’t be chosen as a target.
The chosen objects and/or players each become a target of that spell. (Any abilities that trigger
when those objects and/or players become the target of a spell trigger at this point; they’ll wait
to be put on the stack until the spell has finished being cast.)
When the time comes for the spell to resolve, targets are rechecked. Targets that have become illegal are not affected. And if all targets have become illegal, the spell does nothing.
608. Resolving Spells and Abilities
608.2b If the spell or ability specifies targets, it checks whether the targets are still legal. A target
that’s no longer in the zone it was in when it was targeted is illegal. Other changes to the game
state may cause a target to no longer be legal; for example, its characteristics may have changed
or an effect may have changed the text of the spell. If the source of an ability has left the zone it
was in, its last known information is used during this process. If all its targets, for every instance
of the word “target,” are now illegal, the spell or ability doesn’t resolve. It’s removed from the
stack and, if it’s a spell, put into its owner’s graveyard. Otherwise, the spell or ability will
resolve normally. Illegal targets, if any, won’t be affected by parts of a resolving spell’s effect
for which they’re illegal. Other parts of the effect for which those targets are not illegal may still
affect them. If the spell or ability creates any continuous effects that affect game rules (see rule
613.11), those effects don’t apply to illegal targets. If part of the effect requires information
about an illegal target, it fails to determine any such information. Any part of the effect that
requires that information won’t happen.
In this case, Summary Judgment has only the one target, so making that illegal would cause that spell to "fizzle".
which indicates there could potentially be a third damage step in such corner cases (for creatures who will strike/deal their damage last), even when not playing with un-cards.
Nope, a "third damage step" is strictly the domain of un-cards.
What happens to an equipment that is equipping a creature and gets targeted by Alloy Animist's ability?
Normally, the next thing that happens after Alloy Animist's ability resolves is the active player gaining priority. But in this case, before that happens, the artifact creature equipment becomes unattached and remains on the battlefield.
704.5. The state-based actions are as follows:
704.5p If a creature is attached to an object or player, it becomes unattached and remains on the
battlefield. Similarly, if a permanent that’s neither an Aura, an Equipment, nor a Fortification is
attached to an object or player, it becomes unattached and remains on the battlefield.
115.10. Spells and abilities can affect objects and players they don’t target. In general, those objects and
players aren’t chosen until the spell or ability resolves. See rule 608, “Resolving Spells and
Abilities.”
115.10a Just because an object or player is being affected by a spell or ability doesn’t make that
object or player a target of that spell or ability. Unless that object or player is identified by the
word “target” in the text of that spell or ability, or the rule for that keyword ability, it’s not a
target.
A) A triggered ability (such as training) can never be activated.
B) There is only one moment when that ability can trigger, and it has already passed by the time Adeline's power goes up.

General training notes:
• A creature’s training ability triggers only when both that creature and a creature with greater power are
declared as attackers. Increasing a creature’s power after attackers are declared won’t cause a training
ability to trigger.
• Once a creature’s training ability has triggered, destroying the other attacking creature or reducing its
power won’t stop the creature with training from getting a +1/+1 counter.
That depends on which one has the later timestamp, i.e., which one entered the battlefield last.
113.10c If two or more effects add and remove the same ability, in general the most recent one prevails. See rule 613 for more information about the interaction of continuous effects.
my understanding of backgrounds is they some how are "layering" these abilities onto the commander creature, so humility cannot erase them???
Effects that add or remove abilities are applied in layer 6, and timestamp order determines the final result.
613.1f Layer 6: Ability-adding effects, keyword counters, ability-removing effects, and effects that say an object can’t have an ability are applied.
613.3. Within layers 2–6, apply effects from characteristic-defining abilities first (see rule 604.3), then all other effects in timestamp order (see rule 613.7). Note that dependency may alter the order in which effects are applied within a layer. (See rule 613.8.)
613.7a A continuous effect generated by a static ability has the same timestamp as the object the static ability is on, or the timestamp of the effect that created the ability, whichever is later. If the effect that created the ability has the later timestamp and the object the ability is on receives a new timestamp, each continuous effect generated by static abilities of that object receives a new timestamp as well, but the relative order of those timestamps remains the same.
Example: Rune of Flight is an Aura that grants enchanted Equipment “Equipped creature has flying.” A player attaches Rune of Flight to Colossus Hammer, an Equipment with “Equipped creature gets +10/+10 and loses flying.” The ability granted by Rune of Flight shares Rune of Flight’s timestamp because it is later than Colossus Hammer’s timestamp. If Colossus Hammer becomes attached to a creature, both of its abilities receive new timestamps (see rule 613.7e), but the relative order of those timestamps remains the same.
The second option for spending the mana from Castle Garenbrig's last ability is "activate abilities of creatures", not "activate abilities of permanents that are not creatures but will be Real Soon Now".
