Well when I get ganged up on and for good reason I use table talk.
Call me unsportsmanlike but I will complain if I am getting targeted without relevant board state.
I am a reasonable person so I try to explain threat assessment to the players that are Doom bladeing my Elvish Mystic while there is a Gishath, Sun's Avatar sitting in front of the player to my right.
It really pisses me off when this happens because my groups goal is basically "don't let Nick win" even at the expense of the possibility of winning the game themselves.
I usually just try to use reason and explain to them how stupid that play would be. (I find this works sometimes).
(EDIT) I just realized I did not answer your question
My edric deck can kill the table before turn 5. I would recommend him and Imperial animar.
If you don't want to loose friends build a deck with inevitability this includes Nicol Bolas and legendary eldrazi.
or go group hug
currently playing kiki-jiki with my group they seem to enjoy it. mono red and mono white get less hate.
hope this helps
how much is a little money? like a number would be very helpful
if worst comes to worst buy a precon and look for upgrades that are within your budget.
I just remember him wining games when he could get out early LD and a board wipe then put a grappleing hook or some other voltron pieces onto darigaaz and win with commander damage. He played very controlly for a jund deck and while it was not the best deck it still got him some wins. I'm sorry I cant show a deck list though.
We already have a thread that is used to share the decks that you think were a let down.
I created this tread to help the community share deck ideas that worked out very well.
You may include fun decks.
Decks that have surprised you with how they function.
Decks that are unique.
please share with me what decks really worked for you and why
I'll start by mentioning my more casual deck for Oloro it was my first commander deck that I bought back in 2013 that introduced me to the game.
I used cards like Rhox Faithmender , Serra Avatar , and other life gain focus. usually i would swing with a hex-proof unblock-able Serra avatar for the win.
The reason I mention this deck is because it was some of the most fun i have had playing edh.
About 2 years ago I started looking for a new commander. I came across Oona, Queen of the Fae I turned it into a "well oiled machine" of combos and death. The reason for this hyper competitive build was because my meta had changed over the past 2 years.
But when you are playing a well made deck that you put a lot of time, effort, and money into and you play it against decks of the same caliber it makes for very fun and exiting games.
Nin, the Pain Artist is also a very interesting general of choice in izzet colors. She lends herself to be very political and you can always ping some of your own creatures when you run out of gas.
Boiling seas
Running nin with a control shell.
or nivmizzet firemind full combo shell.

My meta at the time consisted of
Competitive Animar, Soul of Elements $500ish
Competitive Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord $750+
semi competitive Darigaaz, the Igniter $250ish
Competitive Derevi, Empyrial Tactician stax $(too much)
And any unfortunate soul to walk into our shop.
But when you are playing a well made deck that you put a lot of time, effort, and money into and you play it against decks of the same caliber it makes for very fun and exiting games.
4/4 rainbow efreet
