We've added a few tags. It's not as wide as was originally conceived in this thread, but it should at least add an in between options as well as some specific deck types that are popular.
As it was brought to our attention, we have expanded some of the available tags for deck lists. In addition to [Casual], [Competitive], and [Budget], we have added the following:
[75%]
[Tribal]
[Theme]
We wanted to add an option for the decks that exist between casual and competitive, but still wanted the meaning to be a bit more generally accepted by the wider community, in addition to tags denoting specific types of decks that may wish to solicit more specific feedback based on it's theme or if it is tribal.
Most cards in blue black that do cast from exile will usually only work with cards exiled under the card in question. Processors, as mentioned above, will work, but unfortunately, the options are pretty limited if you want to protect your own graveyard.
I'll bring this up with the other moderators. As has been mentioned, the biggest reason we haven't done something like this in the past is that in a format like EDH, with a much wider range of deck levels, the tags are only as useful as the reason they were applied, which varies greatly from person to person. If we do add a more comprehensive tag system, I don't know that it will look exactly like what was describe in the OP, but we will look in to it.
It might pay to have a better grasp on untagging primers that are no longer cared for, so that mtgsalvation can get away from having a reputation of out-of-date primers.
The Primer Committee does to audits into the threads on how well they are being maintained (and threads are typically removed during each pass). If you feel that there's a deck list that's particularly egregious, you can always message any of the committee members to actually take a look outside of those passes, however.
