What is it that you're using NOSB mainly for? For things like tokens I run a single copy of Necroplasm, which sometimes works against other low CMC guys as well. I mainly like it for being reusable.

I often find that I don't have enough cards in my graveyard that I'm willing to part with for a Tasigur, the Golden Fang, although I have been messing around with Mortuary Mire a bit since it was released. Instead of Tasigur, the Golden Fang I've been using Eternal Witness as a way to buy back Smallpox, Liliana of the Veil, Damnation, etc. I like it against some of the grindier stuff I run into, but there's so little of that that it's not worth running I think. If I did decide to just go for a big delve creature I think I'd rather have a Tombstalker.

Speaking of big flying Demons, I think running some amount of Abyssal Persecutor will be my next experiment. Probably just in the side against decks where you want some bigger and better threats earlier, and it's real easy for us to get rid of. It fulfills kind of the same purpose that the Chameleon Colossus I've been running in the board has been, but I want to see how this feels after I get some matches with it, maybe I'll like it better even if it doesn't have the graveyard synergy.

Has anyone tried Chameleon Colossus? I'm gonna be running one for a little while to see how it works out, but I'd appreciate any feedback if someone else has experimented with it.

Has anyone messed around with Wildfire?

I play kind of a variant of this deck (more Loam Pox than all in Death Cloud, but it's similar enough) and I figured one of you must have tried it so I wanted to know how/if it worked. I was thinking of trying more of a Jund thing with some number of Wildfire, Boom//Bust, maybe Molten Vortex, and Faithless Looting. Red also has some nice sideboard stuff.

Previously I liked it against Melira Pod, although t hat's not relevant anymore. I like it against UWR Control lists to turn off their Snapcaster Mage's and Vendilion Clique's. It also buys you a turn against Bloom Titan which is becoming more popular.

I've been playing with a Vengeful Pharaoh in my board for a long time (I played with one in a Dredgevine variant for a long time, so I thought I would try it here) and I like it a lot. It makes combat kind of a headache for your opponent, and I've even won a few games by choosing to draw it after using its ability and then casting it, which is reasonable to do in this deck in later turns.

In my experience with the deck, colored mana is something that I often get choked on. Throwing more ways to get color screwed for pretty marginal and situational gain doesn't seem worth it to me. The other three cards would heavily require the meta where you are to be shifted pretty far in favor of a deck that gets ruined by them to be worth it, which seems unlikely.

I run a pretty different list than what gets posted around here so take anything I say with a grain of salt, but I do have the Pox, Loam, Haakon, Inversion, Knight core.

I've been happy with having my full set of 8 Dredge creatures in my list as I really value the ability to get value out of the yard, or being able to discard them to Lotleth Troll and still get value out of them. I've won just as many games with huge Lotleth Trolls as Vengevine. Often I'm able to drop a Lotleth Troll on turn 2 and discard a whole hand of Dredgers if my opponent tries to bolt him. Being able to draw and discard the creature to him over and over again has been relevant for me as well.

On an unrelated note I've been having a pretty good success rate with Necroplasm in conjunction with the four Slitherheads I have in the maindeck as well as Conflagrate in Delver matchups.

The card that I thought would be most interesting for the deck from the spoilers was Dark Deal as it seems like a huge Dredge enabler. I know most of you guys are going lighter on the Dredge creatures these days, but for lists heavier with them I think maybe this is worth considering. It could also just be a value card as so many of our own function out of the grave, in some matchups could be pretty asymmetrical. The fact that it costs 3 and that Treasure Cruise is running rampant are pretty big downsides though.

I really wish Sibsig Muckdwellers had been pushed more. I would love to play this guy in the Hooting Mandrils slot. Out of all the cards spoiled I think this one had maybe the most potential (maybe Sudden Reclamation too)but just costs too much.

Yeah I admit that it is very unlikely that we would get a zombie with Dash, but there's no harm in hoping for it. In any case the dash mechanic itself seems to play very well, I could see myself playing most anything that's aggressively costed in my colors with Dash.

The new "Dash" mechanic seems like it could work really well with the kind of strategy we're employing with this deck if we get it appropriately costed on something. Being able to cast the same creature every turn, on top of being able to attack with it seems great, not to mention that it dodges Wraths. Holding my breath for a zombie with a dash cost of 2 or less.

recently started playing a Jund variant of this, and found some cards i don't think anyone has mentioned that have some potential

Necroplasm can get some mileage against certain strategies(IE Tokens and maybe affinity) and has dredge, mostly a sideboard card based on your current meta
Ingot Chewer has been great against affinity and can trigger Vengevine off of convoke. it also is a good target for golgari thug should you end up grinding it out.
Vengeful Pharaoh i havent actually tried this yet however it seems like it could be a power house against any creature based strategy with all the ways to dredge it off of the top of your deck or discard it again and again, and while at 5 casting cost its rarely going to be relevant it is still a zombie.
Glarewielder seems like it could be worth some testing as well, it can trigger vengevine off of its convoke and leave the opponent with no blockers. I imagine this would be a one of, even if its in your yard it would not be hard to use golgari thug to set up a win against an opponent with a board.
Stain the mind With the common inclusion of a fair number of one and 2 drops this card can easily hit the table turn 3. seems like it could be a good answer to combo or some common GY hate in game 2 or 3.

anyone have any thoughts about these cards?

I've been running a Jund version of this deck for a long time (only red I have in the main is for Faithless Looting), and I'm a big fan of Necroplasm as a singleton in the side. I'm running more actual Dredge cards than a lot of people these days I think (full sets of Golgari Thug and Stinkweed Imp) so I can dump the singelton in the yard to Dredge back pretty often. Most of the time this works as a wrath in the matchups with lots of 0s and 1s (Tokens and Affinity like you mentioned, as well as Zoo, and I've found it to be useful against Pod.

For me the most important thing when looking at a cards viability for this deck is how well it works from the graveyard. I prefer Ancient Grudge over Ingot Chewer for this reason. In matchups where you need this kind of card, I'd rather have it more often than have it be half a trigger for Vengevine on the way down.

I used to like Vengeful Pharaoh more than I do now. I would play it against most GB decks before. I haven't removed the one I have in my board yet, but I might.

Glarewielder is interesting. I don't like that it doesn't do anything from the graveyard on it's own, and I think that it's usefulness is pretty narrow. Would be a meta call as to whether I would run it or not. The main matchup I see this being good in is Pod, as that's really the only matchup where I get choked out of winning by blockers. I'm usually one turn away from winning when the Kitchen Finks start stalling me, and it's pretty much over once they stabilize.

I don't like Stain the Mind because not only does it not do anything from the graveyard, but you have to not attack with your guys to cast it. I'd much rather be swinging with every dork I have. This is the kind of card that I would only run if the meta absolutely required this effect to compete.

On a separate note, a card I've been trying out in the side is Conflagrate. Anyone had any experience with this card? I've found it surprisingly useful.

Has anyone tried this deck with a Lotus Cobra ramp plan and Loam? I'm trying a variation that leans in this direction, but I'm pretty far off from being satisfied with a list. Was wondering if anyone has poked around this territory before and could let me know what they found.

Word is my meta is gonna be full of Jeskai Ascendancy this weekend, I was thinking of just jamming 4 Ray of Revelation, but maybe you guys have some better suggestions? I'm fairly confident that it will be saturated enough that I can go up to 8 slots for it.

All it would have taken for this to be playable is the Zombie creature type I think. Too bad it's a near miss.
