Psychic Spiral would be pretty badass, but unless you have a means of unlimited discard, you have to wait until your opponent's second turn after Enter the Infinite. I think this gives them too much of a chance to disrupt the combo. Maybe if you dump the cards first with Prognostic Sphinx...
Blast of Genius, also badass, but 12 damage once won't win the game.
The real danger is if they can force you to draw with 0 or 1 cards in library. Due to this risk, you either need some good counterspells, or you need to sideboard out Enter the Infinite when you hit Esper Control or a milling deck. Or put in an Elixir of Immortality to quickly replenish your library.
I love the fun combo possibilities of Enter the Infinite, and with Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx & Karametra's Acolyte, it's not too hard to put together the 12 mana. I would like to put it into a strong UG standard deck, something that could compete at FNM against the usual suspects (Esper control, mono-blue and mono-black, RDW). I'm not looking to compete at a higher level than that. Do you think Enter the Infinite can be made playable in a standard deck? What would that look like?
I could see it going either Bant or RUG. Prophet of Kruphix seems key to open that mana back up and drop the game-winners during the opponent's turn. Definitely 4 each of Elvish Mystic, Sylvan Caryatid, and Karametra's Acolyte for the ramp. What else goes in there?
Borborygmos Enraged is the route I was thinking of going. The combo is:
Prophet of Kruphix, next turn Enter the Infinite, then at the start of your opponent's turn flash Borborygmos Enraged to instantly discard all lands and win with direct damage.
Another good interaction is having a Horizon Chimera on the board when you Enter the Infinite - gain life equal to # of cards in your deck.
Clan Defiance and Mistcutter Hydra give you some good places to dump extra mana when you produce a lot. Mana Bloom can also be a mana dump & help if the deck needs mana fixing. Nylea, God of the Hunt can use your extra mana to pump creatures.
Arbor Colossus is great for green devotion and protection from big fliers.
Looking at the mana curve, I want something to do with the 3 mana we often have turn 2. Boon Satyr and Divination are the 3-drops I picked.
Here's a draft of a deck list:
2 Arbor Colossus
1 Borborygmos Enraged
2 Boon Satyr
2 Deadly Recluse
4 Elvish Mystic
4 Horizon Chimera
4 Karametra's Acolyte
2 Mistcutter Hydra
2 Nylea, God of the Hunt
2 Prognostic Sphinx
3 Prophet of Kruphix
4 Sylvan Caryatid
1 Clan Defiance
2 Mizzium Skin
2 Divination
1 Urban Evolution
Lands (22)
4 Breeding Pool
2 Steam Vents
4 Temple of Mystery
6 Forest
4 Island
2 Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx
3 Aetherize
3 Cyclonic Rift
3 Negate
2 Mistcutter Hydra
2 Mizzium Skin
2 Skylasher
