This new heavier discard list with Hazoret and Glorybringer had honestly rejuvenated my interest with Jund. Will try it in my next FNM. Also, with the concern of Hazoret being easily removed by PTE or Edict effects, that is why we are playing a deluge of discard spells so we can play around it.
I like Runed Halo better when you are playing the control/prison type with GQ and SS. Queller also gives them target with what would be dead removals in their hand.
I'll be testing a list with two Trial Gids and 2 AF. If you play AV, i think you really should play AF to avoid it being a terrible topdeck later. However, AF usually eats up the slot for SS and I feel they work better together because the mana denial plan let us tick AF up and allow us to drop walkers or activate colonnades with counter back up.
Also, i'd be wary of building too much around AF by cutting some GQs as well for Tolaria West. 1-2 is probably the correct number if you only run AV as 0 CMC.
My list is very similar. -1 Drowned Catacombs, +1 Watery Grave should help with the black source. 1 Godless Shrine isn't bad either, when you need an early black and white source for SV or EC
What would you guys do when having a budget. Right now I'm playing esper with 3 shambling vents and 1 creeping tar pit, but no cryptic commands. Would you buy the 2-3 celestial colonnades to replace shambling vent with or buy 2-3 cryptic commands? In the future this problem will be solved, but right now there is some heavy competition within the group I'm playing in and we're all buying ourselves into competitive play (step by step)
Agree with Donny. Get the Cryptics first. I tried substituing some hard counters like Disallow in place of it before and it just didn't worked. There simply isn't any replacement for the swiss-knife mode.
The manabase needs some work. Seachrome Coast works well with AV early game but sucks mid to late which is why I went with Glacial Fortress. However, going down to 23 does not feel too comfortable for a control deck with late-game bombs. 7 counterspells main with 2 leaks. While I would like to have more Logic Knots, it can be hard to use it with only 4 fetches. I also want 4 Wraths in my 75 to deal with an aggro-heavy meta. Runed Halo and Leyline will probably make the cut once I acquire it.
Also, it would be hard to utilize Serum in the early game when you are sometimes force to crack a fetch to respond or play something on the curve, essentially wasting what you scry on the top.
I've been bringing this list for 2 FNMs now. I went 4-0 last time and won a PR for Amonkhet. Pretty stock, the mainboard Fulminators is a concession to Tron and other ramp decks. The extra Abrupt in the SB is to combat Blood Moon and other unknown shenanigans which are also rampart in my meta. Will be slotting in a pair of Surgicals in my SB probably taking out 1 Anger and Thrun/Baloth.
Jeskai Harbinger placed 10th on the SCG Dallas Classic. No AV but with Sphinx Rev. I like how the list is streamlined to go all out protect the queen. Elspeth in the main with 2x Cryptics. I'm not sure if 24 lands can support 9 cards with CMC 4 or more though:

Fellow Jund players, what makes Flayers effective in Junk but not Jund? Unless they are running mainboard Bauble or Spellbomb, looks like we have the same amount of card types to enable Delirium. Is it because it competes with Bob in the 2-drop?
