I've been back and forth over preordering, and think I'm going to wait until the initial rush dies down. I'm lucky enough to live in Seattle and frequent Card Kingdom, and they've typically had their 'variety pack' for the last few sets for around $160-170ish. BfZ is $224.99. I doubt the lands will keep prices inflated for very long, and since I'm not an active Standard player, waiting a few weeks for the hype to die down should do me no harm. I hope.

Well, I sure hope they go this direction if not for the sole reason we saw so many Eldrazi and Allies there was no room for anything else in the BFZ... No sea beasts Kiora could command and just a few cards related to the stolen Bident. Not enough, Zendikar needs that epic kaiju battle.
I expect to see more merfolk in second set but Dont expect Kiora to go back to theros to get Arixmethes. Thassa probably will steal her bident back if she does. They already showed the trapping of Ulamog in the card Alligned Hedron Network. 2nd set will be aginst Kozilek. Seriously. Look at all the cards that have Kozilek in the name. All of them are Underground and reference to the coming of Kozilek. Also in light of today's spoilers I like to point out that The guy in the card Turn Against has the Kozilek spikes floating above his head and its clear his friend is trying to get him to recognize him as the guy throws his friend off the cliff.
I hope ol' Nixi won't be a planeswalker all of a sudden. There needs to be more build up with him. It wouldn't feel that special to me now. There's Gideon, Nissa, Jace, Kiora, Chandra all fighting Ulamog and his Eldrazi-bros, who want to destoy Zendikar. Allies gather amongst the slaughter bla bla bla and oh btw Ob Nixilis sparked. Meh.
I disagree with you there. they have Featured a few Uncharted Reals leading Ob up to this point. he has already been featured in 2 Sets and a supplementary set. they want people to get behind his story. also with the Arena of the Planeswalkers Board game Expansion they showed us Ob Nixilis again but with the subtype "planeswalker". not to even mention his art in this set is perfect sizing for planeswalkers.

Bolas was on a card without showing up as a planeswalkers. Too early to call.
They used old pictures of Sorin and Nissa. at least for the live tweets there was no confirmation of Sorin in new artwork. Not that I dont expect to see him in the new set but Nothing official says so.

I'm more interested in the flavor ramifications; if the Abzan Dromoka were banned from practicing necromancy but can still be protected by spirits, is there hope for some enemy-color aspects of the other clans to be preserved?
Narset still has red in her, per MaRo. I think there's some slight hints of the third colors still there, and the return of Ugin could be the catalyst for the clans to reform and try to combat the broods.
Not trying to get into a flavor debate here, but If you're referring to this post, that certainly wasn't any kind of confirmation that Narset still has red in her. He was more likely referring to there being another 3-color planeswalker, which was just spoiled in the form of Sarkhan Unbroken.
If you read the most current Uncharted realms you would know she has red in her. Just until the point of her planeswalker spark igniting it has been under control from her teachings with Ojutai.
I think this is mistranslated - it should, I believe, trigger if they cast a creature or planeswalker with the same name as a card in THEIR graveyard. Hispanophones please correct me if I'm wrong. The Spanish text of the card reads:
