Interesting. Its not something I had noticed, but now that you mention it...Dauntless onslaught is certainly the card in my deck that sees the less play. It usually sits in my hand for 3/4 of the game, because there's always something better, or I need to keep mana for Mizzium skin / Gods willing. I'll try to figure something out. Either take it out (for more hidden strings / ordeals) or replace it ( battlewise valor or aerial maneuver)

About the hopeful eidolon / ethereal armor thing... I like it, but... i dont know what else I'd remove to include it in my deck.

Bioshift could work. if you lose a body the counters on that body is usually the important bit and saving them helps maintaining pressure alot. You can also use it to pump the critter beeing targeted with shocks/pit fight-esque things etc.

And you get to move around the counters from any heroic triggers the card might trip.

This guy makes a pretty nice argument about why the Reserve List must go:

"US doesn't get to keep all their cards because others are willing to pay more"? Is that called a nice argument now?

You can counter the ability by giving it Hexproof after it's been targeted already. A spell or ability can only be put on the stack if it has a legal target, and it will only resolve on legal targets. If the target becomes illegal in between, that part of the ability doesn't happen, and if there was only one target, the whole ability is countered.

Ahh, thanks for the clarification! I haven't played for more than a month so I have a lot to learn regarding the rules, but one step at a time and I'll get there eventually Smile

so if you target Artisan of Forms with lets say Aqueous Form and target Centaur Battlemaster as your copy. If you then target Artisan again will it get the +1/+1 counters in addition to its option to change forms since it's a may ability?

or what would happen if you morphed Artisan into Colossus of Akros pay the monstrous cost get 10 +1/+1 counters then morph it again and it keeps those counters? do those scenarios work?

It willkeep the counters and the monstrous. Even if the monstrous doesnt do anything for the artisans current form it will still be it.

So if you target something cheaper to monstrous, then change it to a collossus it will get the trample. There was an interesting article about it I ead not too long ago.

I got a quiestion regarding it though, it might acually be more a quiestion about how hexproof works. Say I control an artisan, my opponent pit fights it with one of his creatures.

Do I have time to target artisan with a spell and say turn it into a hidden stalker granting it hexproof thus countering the pit fight.

My guess at the moment is that since the artisan is already trgeted and the hexproof prevents the targeting Pit Fight will resolve killing of the artisan(which at that point of time will be a hidden stalker).

Is that correct or will Pit Fight try to target again at resolving which will fail which fizzles the spell.
