Well, as we saw in the "Investing in BFZ Fat Packs" thread, we can't really make a short-term profit on them even if they are selling for $65. I don't know that I'd have chosen BFZ Fat Packs as a target to sink nearly a grand into, but if you can spare the grand and the shelf space, it should hopefully pay off in three or four years?
Combo of Target discount and lucky sales prices and I broke even at 15 sold. So I got 5 to stash and see if they rise, I was real worried that I wouldn't be able to move them
Well, expeditions aside, as of 9/14 this looks like a brutal set to be opening.
Fun to draft, though, when there's less rare-drafting.
I am losing confidence a bit, but 5 fetchable duels, 2 very good walkers, 1 okay one, 2 (3? cant remember) man lands, the ally land, Ulamog, are all good cards, I'd certainly say after the top 10 or so it's looking....not good.
So people here think that people will be spending 50 grand for 4 grand worth of cards? Interesting. Interesting.
Besides, Mythics don't destroy the price of cards, desirability does. The 5 most expensive Khans cards are Rare, and one of the top 12 is an uncommon.
What exactly do you mean by this?
Short as possible, that Expeditions will not crash prices any worse than we've seen before (like Khans). We're not gonna have 10 cent rare modern staples in this set. And I don't think anyone answered your old question so no, these are not redeemable online which is super weird because you can still get them online.
Edit: Also I just don't understand how people can complain that modern is too expensive, and then complain that cards are gonna be too cheap now.
This forum never ceases to make me laugh, only here can there be 3 consecutive posts calling the same card awful, okay, and busted. Card evaluation skills are super strong.
Once cut, the individual cards from the sheet are randomly placed, it's only in the very beginning of the process that the sheets uniformity has any effect.
