I do not have an updated list on hand since i tend to tinker with it between every local Modern event. I do not play sad robot, only one mage and no fabricates right now. I do have a full set of Condescend and run 2 Talismans (I have tried cutting them before and did not like it).

I honestly do like Anticipate, but where to fit in the main 60? I do not want to cut Thirst since it still often puts two in my hand, but there is some flex. Perhaps a 3-2 split of some sort?

Bliz did confirm that the Eternal Conflict update itself this month will only give us the new map and the Butcher. Leoric and the Mink are still forthcoming. I kind of hope we get the Monk first because we really need a Diablo support option.

Admittedly I do not do a ton of ordering online, but when I have through Card Kingdom and TCGplayer (to a lesser degree CoolStuffInc as a tack on when I buy board games) I have had no issues with the conditions of cards. However, I will admit that I am not as picky as some of my friends are when it comes to card condition since I figure once I play with it over time it is going to wear some of that NM quality pretty fast anyway.

I think most people do not run Batterskull because the cmc makes it un-tutorable unless you are running Fabricate. I do include one since i tried it out when I first build the deck and have consistently had it be a strong card even in my main.

All hail Serum Visions, the $12 common. No

Better make that $14. It went up even more. Facepalm

And it will likely continue to go up for some time to come, although I expect the increases will usually be small hops. I fully expect this to hit $20 by the turn of the year (which hurts my brain since I spent $2 a pop under two years ago on a whim purchase).

My sweeper options are Ugin and a single O-Stone. I dropped sad robot a while ago just because it felt like it did not do enough all that often. What is your list?

Can anyone explain why many mono blue tron only run one oblivion stone (see shoktroopas), while rg tron runs 3-4?

Well we have a lot more ways to deal with creatures either repealing them or just outright countering them. The space for additional O-Stones is rather low (although some people run an extra in the side).

I think BFZ is a lock for enemy fetches. Ravnica meant shocks. Why wouldn't BFZ mean fetches? If it doesn't, I don't know if I'll buy any.

    Magus of the Moon

Maybe some knock-on effect from Blood Moon rising, but this little guy is $12 LOW on tcgplayer.

I am still cautious about fetches in BfZ because that would make all ten Standard legal and I do not think Wizards wants to do that. I feel like the block after BfZ is much more likely to have them (still relatively soon).

Magus will probably never get all that high because people view it as much easier to get rid of than an Enchantment effect.

Grixis is one of my favorite color combinations and I do like the flexibility I have seen here. Admittedly, going the Cruel route is probably not as straight forward as non-Cruel, but I'll be damned if the spell is not satisfying to play.

Is there a consensus on the ideal number of Cryptics to play, or is it rather subjective?

I do not think Cavern falls into the category of too expensive for a Commander supplement. The Commander decks are now printed in such supply that, beyond the initial run, lgs stores cannot get away with price gouging them anymore because it is too easy to walk into a Target or Walmart and buy them off the shelf at MSRP. Cavern in particular though is unlikely to see such a printing unless they decide to to tribal themed decks (which is not impossible).

Quick question, how playable is this deck currently without Tarns or Lili? I am looking into building something new and this is one of the options that interests me the most.

I am pretty sure I am the ony one on here that plays Liliana of the Veil...so the deck is highly playable without her it's just how I prefer to run this deck.

Scalding Tarn on the other hand is not needed necessarily but it is handy to have because it can fetch island which is real good against people who intend on casting Blood Moon against you...which I will say sucks but is still very winnable.

Good to know on Lili. I understand that about Tarn, but at this point in time $50 a pop is a bit much for me and this is for local play anyway where I rarely see Blood Moon (and am less likely to see more of it soon with the price spike).
