man i played Through the Breach Griselhoard beat me on turn 2 each time... should i have relic in sideboard or pithing needle or grafdigger cage for this matchup?
Honestly you just tip your cap, sign the match slip, and move on. Unless you plan on seeing that deck quite a bit because its all over your meta its probably not worth it to dedicate sideboard slots for this match up. It's not a super popular deck.
Has anyone ever tried Ghost Quarter in the main to hedge versus Tron?
I know it's a non-bo with Blood Moon, but seems like it give some early, main deckable interaction instead of rushing out three mana land destruction post-board. Any thoughts?
I think it would be fine depending on how many cards you have that require double red. I'm just getting into the deck and my current build has reckoner and demigod so 2 Scrying Sheets would probably be the most I would want to go into colorless lands but even if you just have Koth, P&K, Anger, and Chandra it might be a little risky
I am looking though this thread as some version of this will be my deck for a while as my other two decks were basically banned and i could throw this one together at minimal cost.
As strong as voltaic Brawler is, can one make a case for monogreen energy with the new trick that adds +3 and gives energy?
The cheapest version is GR combo, like this. You don´t need Trackers, Gearhulks, Chandras or Cinder Glades, which brings down the price. But without red you lose access to too many pump spells and Brawler, and you want to run Aether Hub and Attune for the energy supply anyway, so cutting red really doesn`t make any sense. I guess you could always skimp on a Game Trail or two to save a few bucks, but honestly, a $60 competitive standard deck isn`t exactly expensive. You should be able to cover that easily with the leftovers from your banned decks.

Did you guys see Max McVety`s list? Combo in the main, midrange in the side. Why choose one? It makes a lot of sense, as combo lists can`t sideboard too much anyway. Also plenty of removal in both main and side to deal with the copycat combo.
Im new to the deck and this list intrigues me. How would one sideboard into the midrange version?
Obviously that would be bad but games 2 and 3 you wouldn't have pushes in your deck anyways. Not a lot of cards in our deck that can deal with a resolved Prime Time. My meta is super heavy aggro. Pushes are something I need to fight that. If your meta is control or combo then obviously isn't that great.
playing E&T the biggest issue I've had is with aggro creature decks. Specifically tiny zoo and merfolk. I was running 2 wall of resurgence to help but I replaced them with 2 pushes in the main and 2 in the board. I'm not looking to kill creatures with revolt though I would be happy to do so if the situation arises. I feel push allows us to get to the grind part of the game against aggro decks where we have the advantage. I've always felt a little removal light against those decks and push is just what I was looking for. Its a cheap, efficient early play that allows us to push the game in the mid turns. Where we should be able to out value a lot of aggro decks.
Im currently playing eldrazi and taxes. This is the list that I'm looking at post Aether Revolt. I really believe they Fatal Push is going to push this deck pretty far. Zoo is a deck I have trouble beating and the more removal the better. Any suggestions about numbers or cards I'm not playing? Ive been playing Wall of Resurgence and it's been a beast for me but can't find room for it.
Played against a UW turbo fog deck. I was playing eldrazi and taxes and he had so many fogs lol. I was able to tear his hand apart with tidehollow scullers and TKS but it was pretty interesting.
How important is Engineered Explosives? I am buying into the deck and I'm at the limit of my budget with everything but EE. I could get them instead of Caverns but Caverns seem really important since my meta has a bunch of Jeskai Control. Would ratchet bomb be a good budget replacement or is it too slow?
Hello, I have recently acquired most of U/G infect. Unfortunately I am only able to acquire 8 fetches and 2 noble Hierarchs due to budget issues but I have most everything else. My question is what is a good suggestion to replace the nobles for the time being? This is what I am currently thinking but I'm no where close to sure about it since I really haven't played the deck a ton.
Hello, I've recently picked up this deck and am playing Ingram's list as a starting point. I currently only have one ancestral vision. Is it worth playing as a singleton or should I add a 24th land and two cryptics instead while I acquire the other two?
It would stink if the deck god banned simply for the thopter combo. In my experience it is a strong deck, but the mill control set up is slow as it is. I think that the comment was perhaps just a thought experiment to see how much he could influence the meta by making that statement then unbanning sword. I would think the that it would be tough to run and would need to drop the bridges for the thopter sword combo for the main combo to remain intact.
Dang, just blew my own mind, what if they want to kill the deck buy making another interactive though combo within the deck that takes the deck so long to win that it runs out of time everytime in real tourneys.
.
Why would we drop bridges? I think bridges gets better with the addition of the combo. Once I empty my hand it becomes very asymmetrical. Make a bunch of thopters at the opponents end step, draw my card, attack with thopters, play my card to empty my hand. I haven't been playing this deck long but it feels like this change would speed up our clock and we would kill faster once we got the lock.
With the new B&R announcement Lantern is still well positioned correct? Ancestral Visions unban means a lot of people will be playing U/W Control which in the few matchups I've played seems extremely favorable. Not sure about the sword of the meek unban.
Edit: nevermind I read Ashiok. Doesn’t work.

Here is my current list. Pretty stock at the moment. Would it be completely crazy to switch the K Commands and the Surgical Extractions?
