    PALPITATIONS

    HNNGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG

MY BODY, MY HEART, MY HEALTH, HOLD ME SIS AM FAINTING AND CAN'T GET UP NO MOOOOOOOOOEEEEE

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! BRING ME THE ONE WHO DESIGNED THIS ASAP BRING THEM BEFORE ME NOW OKAY

    OKAY

    OKAY

Let's collect ourselves off the damn sloppy floor and attempt some COHERENT ANALYSIS OF THIS BEAUTY WE HAVE RIGHT HURRRRRR

First and FOREMOST, the PERFECTION of this card actually PAINS me, ESPECIALLY when I consider the legion of players I am about to steamroll over to obtain it ASAP, sad that the first person to pull this will be mauled and SACRIFICED and they will know true fear in this moment so y'all better PRAY AND PLEAD that I pull this instead of that UNFORTUNATE SOUL that will be ENDED OUTRIGHT TRULY

IT JUST HURTS DUDE. IT DOES. LIKE LITERALLY THIS IS A FREAKING FLAVOR CHARACTER I ALWAYS WANTED FROM THEROS AS A VORTHOS, THAT IS A PRIEST OF FREAKING THASSA HER DAMN SELF, THE EMBLEM OF MY DECK AND ALL MY DESIRE AND WISHES IN THIS DAMN GAME, AND THEY GO AND ADD AN EFFECT THAT SUPPLEMENTS THE ORIGINAL THASSA FOR EVEN MORE FLAVOR WIN

ANNNNNNDDDDD ADD THE TIMMY BENEFIT OF SUPPORTING SEA MONSTERS???????!!!!!!!!! AT THE SAME TIME?????!!!!!!!

AND AND AND ADD SIMIC ACTIVATION TO SUPPORT ARIXMETHES, MY PRECIOUS LOVE?

Holy salty sea tits sis Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

YEEEEEESSSSSSS!! It's as if I designed this card myself, FOR MYSELF! Grin

    IT'S LITERALLY THE COMPLETE PACKAGE

    ART

    THEME

    VORTHOS

    SEA MONSTER SUPPORT

    EFFECT

ALL OF IT PERFECTION AND A HALF AND IT'S EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED AND MORE!!!!!

I SAW THIS LAST NIGHT and had to take a whole damn day and half just to recover enough from being THIS STUNNED to even sit here and type ANYTHING

THIS IS MY PERMANENT COMMANDER FOREVER, MY FRIEND GROUP WILL SUFFER FOR ETERNITY WITH THIS ACROSS THE TABLE AND I WILL RELISH IN THEIR MISERY FOR ALL TIME AND NOT CARE FOR A SINGLE SECOND ABOUT THE DEPTH OF THEIR GENUINE SUFFERING AND AGONY AS THEY ARE SWARMED WITH PRECIOUS SEA BABIES AND DROWNED IN SALT AND STUFFED WITH KELP LIKE A WET BUILD A BEAR

THEY WILL PERISH FROM MY HYPE AND I WON'T EVEN SPARE A SINGLE CARE IN THE WORLD AS TIME AND AGAIN

    ACROSS THE TABLE

    WILL SIT KENESSOS

TO DELIVER THE REPEATING TURMOIL OF PRECIOUS SEA BABIES APPEARING FROM NOWHERE FOR NO OTHER PURPOSE EXCEPT TO SATISFY MY OBSESSION

God this card reminds me of how much I ADORE being such an insufferable obsessed and particular messy gay horror of a man that cannot possibly be tolerated and forces every soul on this EARTH to accept the FACTS AND REALITY that they MUST as I relish in my consuming and relentless desires

Now my playgroup will truly pay for constantly exiling my Bident of Thassa ever since Kiora stole it! Now let us DELVE DEEP (PUN <3) SISTERS, INTO OUR PRECIOUS BEATY:

THE CHARACTER- I have wanted a Kenessos card since I read the flavor text of Thassa's Bounty !!! I just LOVE that he is a priest of Thassa, and this is a VORTHOS DREAM COME TRUE FOR ME to have him, not only in card form, but with that EXACT TITLE in his card name to indisputably declare his brilliant role. Which will NEVER be mistaken. It's LITERALLY ME in card form! AND they rightfully made him a Merfolk Cleric to perfectly encapsulate his flavor and objectives as our divine patron's servant and devotee! Grin Grin Grin EXCELLENT! A character I want, with the perfect name and on a card at long last!!!!!! THE PERFECT COMMANDER!

THE ART - 10/10 - GORGEOUS! I ADORE that elegant, pristine, ominous statue of Thassa in the top left of the art! Such a beautiful depiction! Classic, powerful, looming, SUBMERGED! And the shrine to the krakens as well, such beauty! ARE THOSE THASSA'S TIDELOCK PEARLS GLOWING AS WELL?! Kenessos is looking absolutely brilliant and powerful, a true representation of this excellent character that rules over all MTG's flavor and destroys all your fave cards immediately WITHOUT QUESTION - even his staff mimics the Bident! Grin

    THE EFFECT

    OH Lordy LORDTTTT.

Where do I begin sisters? WHERE

    From the top

Okay so the scry augmentation is just excellence incarnate. NOT ONLY do I consistently tutor Madam Wet from Theros for constant scry and maximum flavor impact (TM) but now she will be supplemented. Also, the Theros cards I play for critical theme reasons almost all have scry, which is perfect! Not to mention the scry is much welcome and needed consistency for Sea Monster tribal, allowing me to filter ramp to the top early game and large CMC smashies for later when I would have Kenessos or mana or both. SO THIS IS EXCELLENT. PLUS I can blinky blink scry creatures with new Thassa for synergy! Grin

But the TREASURED EFFECT is the second one. This is what I am TALKING ABOUT

FINALLY my deck can function with a DEDICATED COMMANDER that facilitates the strategy! AT LONG LAST an early drop Legend appears to pull the deck together and allow it to be viable. THIS IS WHAT I NEEDED

4 mana - instant speed - simic activation to allow for Arixmethes, Koma and others - and with scry synergy will allow the top card to most likely be a sea monster - which can be put directly onto the battlefield! FINALLY! This is the effect my deck needed! No more hard casting on turn 8 one card and that's all! THE DECK HAS PLAYS NOW! It'S SEA MONSTER SUPPORT, LIKE ACTUAL SUPPORT! Grin

    THIS IS PERFECT EXCELLENT BRILLIANT

It's advantage, coming from the top of the deck directly onto the board! All the Scry ensures proper timing, and I can do it as the end phase so on my turn, I can swing with a surprise SEA BABESH! All on a low CMC creature, so he can be an early play that sets up the deck and augments the early scry effects to properly establish the future game - ALL REPRESENTATIVE OF THASSA's DEEP INTROSPECTION AND FUTURE PLANS AS THE SEA GODDESS!

Thassa have mercy on meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this is just GREAT

It's a far superior and thematic Quicksilver amulet - no limits, excellent mana sink, instant speed off the top of the deck, corrects the draws if no viable target appears by adding it the bottom of the deck, and adds synergy with scry tactics to mold the deck into appropriate plays - truly, this is even far superior to the Gishath equivalent I had originally requested for this deck. This is much better!

Man I just love having a coherent deck, led by a flavor character I have always wanted, that facilitates my deck's goals, and most of all, serves Thassa all the same! IT'S LITERALLY ME IN CARD FORM! My friends are all hype too, saying it's as if I designed this for MYSELF! Grin The perfect card for me! And they're actually concerned about my deck being consistent now instead of just draw pass die in style!

I really could NOT have asked for a better card and FINALLY HAVE IT! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin <3 <3 <3 <3

Can you just imagine? Thassa double scying, new Biblioplex Kraken scrying 4, all this setup, and then BAM, 4 mana and reveal a Hullbreaker Horror or Lorthos at the opponent's end phase and begin my turn with precious beauties of the deep sliding into those DMs????

    ARE YOU SERIOUS

    ARE

    YOU

    SERIOUS

LOOK AT THIS ART - THOSE ADORABLE GLASSES, BEAUTIFUL SLEEK PURPLE FORM, AND A CLAW HOLDING A LITTLE BOOK AS A TENTACLE CRUSHES SOME FOOL

AND SCRY 4 WITH KENESSOS??? A KNOWLEDGE KRAKEN THAT IS PERFECT FOR MY DECK

THIS SET JUST GIVES AND GIVES AND GIVES!!!

AND I WILL GLADLY TAKE MY FRIENDS

I SHALL AND WILL!!!!!! Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin

BEST SET OF THE YEAR HOW DARE WOTC HOLD THE HELL OUT ON US ALL YEAR WITH THIS WAITING UNTIL DECEMBER?????

That aside, Hasbro recently released their 3rd Quarter Financial Earnings Report and it's not looking too good for Wizards of the Coast / Hasbro and Magic: The Gathering. The big wigs at Hasbro even straight up told their customers had become "Price Sensitive". Forget about the fact that the U.S. currently has the highest market inflation rate since the Carter Administration which has caused the overall price of Paper Magic to skyrocket to where it's no longer affordable. At least "reasonably" affordable anyway. Oh but don't worry Standard and Modern are fine. Everyone is playing EDH / Commander so why should they care? Right?
Love how it's the consumer's fault and not theirs. Great way to avoid correcting their issues. First step is to avert any responsibility, next is to continue with such delusions right into oblivion. Remarkable how the most incompetent rise to positions of authority and undermine the experience for everyone. Tale as old as time I'm sure - sociopaths succeed at the expense of those with actual merit. I'm certain loss of consumer confidence was the furthest factor from being applicable here - no doubt.

The Professor's video covered this topic quite well and reflects my viewpoint about it. Appears to be a product of exclusion to me, which is strange for one claiming to be a celebratory release for the 30th anniversary. Oh well.

I appreciate consistent spoilers because not all products appeal to me. It creates a situation where I am more likely to find something to keep me invested in MTG by discovering more that appeals to my specific interests in the game. There have been several sets and products this year for example that I completely ignored due to absolutely no engagement with me, and it felt as if there was a lull in any new interest. I agree with Maro that not every product is for everyone. In order for each individual to find something they desire, there needs to be variety and volume of product. It's not as if every person is obligated to purchase every product they introduce.

The issue I have are all the products that alienate me from MTG, such as the Warhammer 40K nonsense. What a waste of a product. If it pleases others, so be it, but from my perspective, it's a waste of what could have been something more appreciated.

He looks like some suffering Jesus in a renaissance painting. The clothes on old Ob are pretty ugly though. It's a representation of the key tension in the set's flavor: it's supposed to be a fantasy game representing tropes that are very un-fantasy.

What's not fantasy about noir? Or... Suits I guess since you didn't specify what trope. Or, frankly, renaissance paintings of jesus, what's not fantasy about those?
Jesus Christ is not fantasy. Show some respect. Defending a card game only to insult one of the leading worldwide faiths?

I personally don't mind the noir or advanced technology aspects in fantasy. I just don't like the implications of that key art, in which Planeswalkers override flavorful legends in the lore. It's a recurring theme that makes them feel hollow and cheap, with no obstacles or challenges. I felt the same about Tibalt defeating a god on Kaldheim, in their own domain and on their own turf. At the end of the day, it's my opinion. I don't require approval to state it. I've been critical of this ever since Gideon's surral stalled an Eldrazi titan.

    new comic.
Chandra finds herself unable to walk to ravnica. so she goes to Dominaria to find answers, specifically the stronghold. Why she chose Dominaria I have no idea. but there she crosses paths with tibalt (again) and davriel. they spot her, and Davriel wants to jet, but tibalt wants to fight. and then garruk shows up out of nowhere because he has some unexplained beef with tibalt. tibalt sets a trap on their way out that threatens to bury a village in urborg in a sea of flowstone. Chandra convinces Garuk to help her save the village, and she literally burns out the flowstone. then Niko Aris shows up asking Chandra for help in finding Kaya. but Kaya is on Ravnica. and chandra is blocked from Ravnica.

this comic book is starting to look more and more like a fanfic with each issue.
I've read better Fanfiction than this. It started out promising.
