You're right that they aren't the same. Vastly different foiling types.
Honestly, I'm not sure about foreign intro packs or their foils, but you might be able to email an online retailer and ask specifically for a pack foil, though I won't say they'll know what you mean. (Even tho they should)
Also, you might be able to shop ebay for one, find an 'actual picture' of the card and not just a stock photo.
You could also then contact the seller and ask if it was pack pulled if you still can't tell by the photo.
Awesome. Love those Sol Rings and YawgWills.
Regarding the Meddeling Mage, have you ever had a card signed by Nottsuo?
Or Hideakai Takemura for that matter? Seems really rare that they sign, but I'm not sure of course...
I'd love to have my set of Blizzard Specter s signed for some strange reason.
Are there actually any artist sigs that you don't have at least one of?
Tezzeret will be the first thing on peoples minds when building for Strix,
or I should say, Strix goes in a Tezzeret build... its definitely a great card for it.
Another deck I've been working on with Strix is a Duskmantle Seer deck,
which I also think it would be great in, but its still a project at the moment.
Honestly, if you're in U/B at all, its hard for it to not be a good card.
Heck, even mill can play it for draw and defense...
Flatline's name is also misleading, as I'm quite sure he'd have to be dead for it to be literal...
...and dead men tell no Outrageous Lies About the Last Poster.
Wait... was that even an Outrageous Lie?
Ok... Flatlines owns *ahem* is owned by a hairless cat and likes to chew on his pinkie nail.
"A God he may be, but Kruphix still couldn't change the laws of physics and water displacement,
and that would be the last time he cannonballed into the Settesan Lake."
In my defense (not that I really need to be defensive) I didn't really say 'best'...
I used the term 'jaw dropping' cuz that's actually what I do when I see some of this stuff, haha...
Also, I don't feel that signed ABUR (or any other) cards are a crime at all, I think it just adds a level of unique to the card and it seems cool to me that the artist has actually handled the card at some point. I'm quite fond of my artist signed cards, which is actually what I would like to post in here (if i can figure out how to do properly), as I think these particular ones are very unique, and one of the prizes of my collection.
I get why they felt the need to put the foil oval on rares and mythics, but did anything ever actually come from that big influx of counterfeit cards that was supposed to hit the US a few months ago?
I've been curious about this too... nobody seems to talk about it anymore.
Probably better for a different thread, but still...

Pullin for the Thunder in the West. Spurs are good but boring.
Hopin OKC will make for a good Finals showdown.

I always hope I can get something worthy of posting in this thread someday.
This is by far one of my favorite places in this entire forum.
Markers and gRR!! seem to have two of the most jaw dropping collections on the planet.
Appreciate you guys sharing with us all.
Why are Junebugs so stupid?
