The foil Erobos I pulled is absolutely wicked.
Foils I MUST have from this set tho...? Spellheart and Horizon Chimeras and Thassa's Emmisary.
The blue god frame cards must be fantastic, gotta get some!
Also, my foil Ashiok falls a bit short of "wow" like the Cerberus apparently.
Must be the multicolor cards? Hope the chimeras don't suck...
Medomai refuses to notice an extra turn when Jon Finkel plays him.
Medomai actually reads "Jon does what he wants... just sit back and take it like a man. You weren't gonna win anyway."
I must admit, I'm suprised a few of you think highly of U/B currently. Bruise control has been the red-headed stepchild of Magic for so long (it seems) that I figured no one would give it a chance again. Wizards stuck the colors with a mill theme they seem reluctant to drop and made it unpopular outside of casual play. I quit playing standard but I'd love to see someone bring U/B into the competitive meta just to shake up this 'creature, attack, creature, attack' format Wizards locked us into.
I'm rooting for all you bruiser mages out there... make it happen!
Too much metal for one hand... \m~~m/
(put the thumbs of your fists together and just throw your pinky fingers up for one big set of horns)
(learned that one in a mosh pit of course)
Honestly? I believe Wizards has been actively crippling U/B in standard for a while now. And to me its pretty blatant. Bad cards... bad synergy... not to mention they totally shafted Dimir (again)
I've always wondered why they hate U/B so much, but they'd never admit it if I asked anyway.
It's fairly obvious that they just want people to play critters and turn em sideways. I'd love to play a tricky control bruiser again but the cards they give us just don't make a (winning) deck. But hey, I've always played homebrews so I'll probably give it a shot anyhow just to play my fave colors. Winning be damned.

As it turns out, Iso tastes like chicken.
But the "dies to Doom Blade" argument is moot...
Doom Blade dies to Jon Finkle.
