Become Immense might be the better pump for Yasova, u can steal virtually any dude on the field at that point and end the game

Unfortunately, we can't recur Frost Walker with sabertooth and ascendancy. It's sacrificed before it's bounced.

What do you guys think of Archetype of Agression? If we will take the more aggresive route, it might be another addition to consider to protect our guys (Shaman of the Great Hunt, Yasova Dragonclaw, Boon Satyr, Frost Walker, etc.) from unfavorable trades. Countermagic can handle spot removal.

I honestly think we can mainboard 2-3 copies of Wild Slash. We'll have more juicy targets this post-FRF meta.

Ashcloud Phoenix is Insane!! I suggest including at least two in the mainboard. Playtesting against the tier 1 decks, u get to have it recur 1-3 times, there's just so much value. And when were ahead, even the turn face up effect is relevant even when it goes defensive mode, an opposing Polukranos will be afraid to attack through because it will unmorph with a 2 damage to the face. Our countermagic suite handles what the phoenix is cant handle.

I'm finding Ascendancy to be very clunky against fast aggro and Jeskai, most of the time i found myself either dropping a knuckleblade instead or holding up the mana for countermagic/Lightning Strike, against a potential Mantis Rider or Rabblemaster. I guess my best bet would be to put them on the sideboard.

I'm really interested in building around Temur Ascendancy and Prophet of Kruphix. The idea of cantripping with every non-dork creature is awesome; and with the prophet out, we'd have incredible inevitability. Considering this, I think we shouldn't run any walker except probably a Xenagos (and a Sarkhan for midrange matchups).

I would also like to consider running Polis Crusher and Ashcloud Phoenix. With an ascendancy out, we can curve into the phoenix swinging ala Falkenrath Aristocrat on turn 4, and might be resilient as well depending on how popular exile effects might be.

I'll also try running a total of 3 Icy Blast in MB/SB, as it buys us a couple of turns early on to help us set up the ascendancy plus dudes, or get through with a finishing alpha late game. Rarely a dead card.

What do you guys think of Savage Punch and Roar of Challenge as removal?

I've been playing 1-ders for a few weeks now and this is my most recent list:

I have never tested the BW version yet but I think there's no reason for us to splash black other than Thoughtseize and some removal against Stormbreath Dragon, in lieu of speed and consistency. And Brave the Elements, of course. With 4 anthems and 2 Fortify, even Suntail Hawk shines more than Cacklers and Tormented Hero in otherwise unfavorable matchups, namely the ones where our dudes just get outclassed by bigger dudes. Believe me there was even a time when I beat Junk control with 3 Coursers and an Obzedat out.

I run Celestial Flare mainboard mainly due to the fact that RG/Jund Monsters is the most dominant in my local meta. It even kills Caryatids. Immortal Servitude is in the sideboard because of Scavenging Ooze and the fact that people generally has more removal post-board vs aggro.

Having 12 fliers means Boros Elite gets batallion way more often. Vs verdict and anger, I included 2 Rootborns.

Spear of heliod is what makes him worth playing in WW. It solves half of its problems (i.e. mortars, smiter, boon satyr)

Has anyone ever considered Eidolon of Countless Battles? I think he might be good on board stalls and help u net more damage for lethal with Brave + alpha strike or occasionally smash face with Ajani's jump ability.

Wow. Hopefully, guilds leaders (other than Aurelia and Zegana) would see some constructed play as they give 4 devotion to minor gods!!

Pain Seer goes well with Frontline Medic in Wb aggro. Hands down.

Just to add something here, there were some interesting archetypes that saw some competitive play back then:

Golgari Aggro - feat Predator Ooze, Lotleth Troll, and Strangleroot Geist, the deck was designed to be fast, yet resilient to battle Supreme Verdict and have a removal suite vs RDW's "bombs" such as Hellrider, Thundermaw Hellkite, and Falkenrath Aristocrat in the early standard.
Izzet Blitz - a deck that uses cheap sorceries and instants to power up a Nivix Cyclops and smash face for 20 on turn 4 (ala Kiln Fiend!)
Gw Elves - ramps to Craterhoof Behemoth to swing Overrun style FTW with Gavony Township and daddy Garruk as a backup plan and inevitability.

Better and has more interaction than the current standard IMO. I think the idea of just dropping creatures early and have them sit like scaredy ducks to build up devotion and discourage trading in combat is ultra boring.

I think she belongs to Maze's End deck.. Or is this the return of Bant Control in Standard??

one deck which still seems tough is mono U. they just have to many creatures that trade well with ours

I agree with Dmedellin... unless ur playing Boros, which only has Banisher Priests as answers to MoW and Thassa. I played Wr this past weekend vs MUD and the guy resolved 2 MoW's; i had a priest and it just got killed by Rapid Hybridization on my end step.

The Orzhov version has lots of answer priests, o-charms, and a couple of doomblades, and profit//losses so that's 12 cards, theres no way MoW's and weirds can survive.

Also, for the Boros version, what do you guys think of Goblin Diplomats to lure in dudes to unfair combat or destroy with Spear (good vs reckoner); or simply tap their blockers??

With artifacts like this and Chromatic Lantern, can we possibly come up with a Hellkite Tyrant deck? Grin
