I've been eyeing Noble Hierarch (MM2) for a while now. It just hit its all time low this past week. Can it go any lower than a $33 average with the modern PPTQ season over?
Yes, especially the Rhino. 3 color decks are popular right now but I think that's just people having fun. 2 colors decks such as GR and GB look very strong and have better mana. Utter End is very playable so you should keep it even if you lose a couple of dollars.
If thats really the case with a GB deck rising to the top....wouldnt it be wise to invest in Rakshasa Deathdealer while its under $2
Another reason (which even Owen Turtenwald, to my surprise) doesn't mention is that Pharika's Cure kills the (arguably) three most important creatures in Standard: Pack Rat, Master of Waves, and Mutavault. Doom Blade and Ultimate Price can each kill only two of those.
Pharika's cure is an amazing card right now in my local area. Not to mention how good it is vs most of Mono Blue's creature base, minus Specter and Frostburn Weird. Still though, it has been a solid removal spell and even just a source of life just to stay alive really.
...And BTE, Ash Zealot, Rakdos Shred Freak, Spike Jester, Mogis' Marauder (Hasties are why I left Esper), Experiment One, Soldier of the Pantheon...there will be viable targets in almost every deck we face.
Looks like we just got an upgrade....we lose the ability to gain 2 life and gain an echoing decay effect.
Does the new inspiration mechanic make Ral Zarek playable in Standard now?
Thinking about getting a set now.
Inspiration - Whenever cardname becomes untapped, you may reveal the top card of your library. If that card is an artifact, creature, or land you may place it on the battlefield with a manifestation counter on it. That permanent is an enchantment in addition to its other types.
...or should I just buy my copies now?
They have a deck called Dark Rabble that was posted on Star city...also in a video.

I've come to realize it's only really good against control....but that's the hardest match up i have....Esper or U/W...but especially U/W.
With Born of the Gods just days away I'm starting to think this deck might have to go to a splash of red, white, or black to stay top tier.
Post board against U/W helps tremendously, but if they get their card drawing going it's usually only a matter of time till they win.
GW aggro just have so many resilient creatures and their fast starts can be over powering.
