@the_blue_mage hey i followed your lead with the land changes in the jones deck. i played a ceremonious rejection in the sb. great against affinity. went 3-1 tonight 2-0 burn 2-1 affinity (only lost cause i didnt see my 3rd land for my EE to get his etched champs) 2-0 belcher (i know i know...some guys are just taking the deck for a sTroll in our meta and the rejection got his belcher off the top twice) and then 2-0 naya evo/chord kiki/resto.dec
overall the deck felt strong. i blind-flipped my delvers 9/10 times so that got a grunt from my opponents lol. collective brutality was damn good when i saw it. i did the full escalation vs naya killing his bird two life swap and stripping a chord from his hand that i knew about from a probe. that game ended not long after via tasigur eating what i escalated to the brutality.

What's the best thing you can do with Saheeli? T4 Master of Waves into a copy of Master of Waves is 5 tokens minimum and a 2/1 haste that goes away at EOT. Whirler Rogue is similar. You can't have a deck full of 4 mana creatures though, so what other good creatures/artifacts are there to go with her -2, preferably at 2 mana?

edit: Goblin Test Pilot's creature type needs to be changed to Goblin Wizard Pilot.

saheeli in play and one in grave sun titan ask questions on removal...turn on infinite titans

Grand Prix Trial for the GP Lille, 21 people.

    3:2, made 6.place.

    0:2 vs Jund.
    - nothing to say, T3 2x 4/5 Tarmogoyf and not a single Relic on my side
    - Huntmaster of the Fells and I got no Removal left Frown 3 flips later I'm dead.

    2:0 -> Buy.

    2:0 vs Hatebears U/W
    - There is no way to lose this matchup... nothing to say, our removalsuite and not fetching make this so easy Smile
Just had hard times vs Burrenton Forge-Tender + Worship, but Batterskull saved the day.

    2:1 vs Ad Nauseam
    - ... knew hes on Ad Nauseam, mulligan to 5, still no relevant card in my hand, he starts with 2x Suspended Black Lotus and...
    - Took out all my spells, bring in every point of damage, the Needles and the Crumble to Dust -> Crumbled his Darkslick Shores, Spellskite on my side and with -4 lands and some lands played -> hes too low on lands to change target of Lightning Storm to me :3
    - Blood Moon T2, Goblin Piledriver T3 -> hes dead before he even thinks 'bout recovering Smile

    0:2 vs Jund.
Everytime the wrong card for the right time, hard missplays... I'm stupid.

All in all, I think we play a great deck, just had some bad luck vs Jund Smile beside that the Jundguys were awesome player, nicely skilled and played many Grand Prix' and tournaments before.

hey brother i tried a few bedlam reveler in the sb specifically for jund/junk...its an mvp when they are hoping to crush ur hand

Hey guys , first time posting on Mtg Salvation.

I just got back into modern and I found out about Jeskai geist. I really like the deck but I got a major problem. I dont have the the money to buy all the deck.(I live in Canada and the price of mtg card are 30% higher.(scalding tar = 110$ canadian).I can pretty much buy everything , exept the big peace that I need to cut. Snapcaster is expensive but i dont think i can build jeskai geist without him. Celestial colonade can be a 2 of for now(I guess).I made a deck and Id like to have comment on it.

The idea of counter magic is great in theory, a general answer in a widely varying field of threats. The problem is that Leak and Remand aren't general answers; they are only good in some match-ups, at certain times. Leak is the closest thing we have to a good, general answer, but it's at its best vs. faster decks. It becomes dead in control or midrange match-ups, and we also play 4x Path to hasten that. Vs. fast aggro or burn, I think Lightning Helix is generally better, costs the same, gets around stuff like Vial and Cavern, and gains life. Vs. spell-based combo, Leak is better for sure. Personally, I think they are pretty close, and I like how Helix makes the plan of Colonnade + Burn better. Remand has some of the same problems as Leak, but also has more applications and cycles, so I don't find it as much of a detriment.

So I am trying to cut the Leaks and go with 3 Spell Snare, 2 Remand, 1 Cryptic Command as my counter mage. Cryptic isn't really a spell in the Leak/Helix category because it doesn't help early. More of a pet card/metagame hedge.

bro i dig your analysis here. i have noticed in my play that sometimes i wonder why am i holding countermagic up anyways...why not play interactive spells instead of reactive spells. i like to think of the nahiri deck as a glorified burn deck that has mid and late game finishers too

eternal scourge should be either 2 or 4 imo if u even want to go that route

4 lets you do the surgical extraction super team otherwise no need to have a bunch because when it comes down to it its just a vanilla 3/3 that we can do some tricks with.

the things we should be focusing on brewing is bedlam reveler
that guy is a house in skred

Looks like Infect gets an straight upgrade to spell pierce. Look at that. http://mythicspoiler.com/emn/cards/turnaside.html wtf.
But Well blessed alliance gets through Grin

I couldn't agree with that. That's basically dispel 5-8 when they don't even play 4 to start with typically while pierce can hit other things. Now if it was spell or ability then I'd be with you on it, otherwise I don't think it's scary.

Did everyone forget about turn aside...it's from the scars block

Here's my list, i'm new to this deck and i'm starting to build it IRL.
I really enjoy the GDD and i'm trying to exploit their ability using Molten Rain on MB.
I have no SB yet, but i really enjoy the Rabblemasters idea.

Any suggestion is welcome. (I'm thinking of maybe using some SSG)

The power of skred is the ability to run 4 blood moon

you could play all 4 helix in the sb
i like all four or none in my decks

Any reasoning to back up that theory?

It's the next few sentences after your quote.

And concerning Keranos... You are only aiming your analysis for gb/x....this i agree with 100%. But I have it for different match ups...a resolved keranos has no permanent answer in control match ups save purge (which they use on nahiri mostly) and that becomes your pressure while you exchange cardboard.

Also nahiri can find keranos if emra isnt an option (looking at bridge mostly)

Also to mirror your tidings thinking...is there a card that does 9 damage for 5 mana.

It you thinking of Keranos as 9 damage for 5 mana I'm not sure what to tell you. I'll restate again, Keranos is not a playable card in top tier Jeskai lists. G/B decks are decent match-ups now. Running him to bring in against control is also bizarre. The match up should already be around 50% considering they are mirrors. You shouldn't be sideboarding such low impact cards. Sideboard a card that swings percentages, like life gain against burn, Stony Silence against Affinity, Spellskite for Infect and Boggles, Crumble to Dust vs. Tron. These cards swing percentages.

Keranos is a pet card from a past era. It was a singleton for Splinter Twin sideboards and occasionally Jeskai lists. With the addition of Ancestral Vision (or Nahiri take your pick) this card is obsolete.

The keranos dealing 9 damage for 5 mana is directly comparing your statement that keranos is like tiding drawing 3 cards over 3 turns. It's just the opposite side of the same coin.
