Apr 2, 2014a I the only one still wondering what Xenagos did wrong? I mean, Heliod is being all selfish and narcissistic..if you think about it, what has he done? he partied a bit, then became a god and wanted to party some more.. he didnt hurt anyone, he didnt kill anyone... so why are they killing him? " OH NO, IF YOU WANT TO BE A GOD IL HAVE TO SEND ELSPETH AND HER FRIENDS TO KILL YOU!!" seems kind of aggresive and evil...Posted in: The Rumor Mill
Apr 2, 2014i didnt think of that. i still think he will have something to do with scrying and doing damage, maybe "whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell scry one, then deal one damage to target creature or playerPosted in: Speculation

Keranos, god of storms 2UR
as long as your devotion to red and blue is less than seven,
keranos is not a creature
whenever you cast an instant or sorcery spell, scry two, then
deal damage to target creature or player equal to that spells
Apr 1, 2014i beleive the onslought fetchlands will be reprinted in conspiracy. they are not insanely overpowered in draft, it wouldnt put them in modern, and it would sell a lot more packs. makes sense to me.Posted in: Speculation
Mar 31, 2014people do underestimate this dude. I played two when i played BUG control. i dont understand it when people say if he doesnt hit for a few turns then they kill him he does nothing. I have gotten multiple detention spheres, downfalls, supreme verdicts, and counterspells away from my opponents with this guy, and when you have all those cards exiled by him, they will NEVER get those cards again. NEVER. if you count the spells they cast, even getting one or two detention spheres off the top is useful information. all in all, he deprives them of their spells, which, in my opinion, is pretty good.Posted in: Standard Archives
Mar 31, 2014I still havn't found out what on earth xenagos has done wrong... if anyone is the bad guy, its heliod! in all seriousness though, wizards will probably just keep everything in plain black and white, and keep xenagos the bad guyPosted in: The Rumor Mill
Mar 12, 2014my LGS has EDH nights on sundays, and after getting bored of the deck i brought from home after round one, i borrowed the stores pre-con oloro deck. during round two, i was the first to die. it was kind of funny. the only person at the table people were targetting me. if someone had a curse, it was attached to me. if someone had a bolt, or burn affect, it was targetted at me. and i had a basically non existent board state to, while someone on the other side of the table playing the new jund dragon commander had just ulted a domri, had a 7/7 savageborn hydra, and a 4/4 primordial hydra. and no one was targetting him. i mean, im thinking of just giving up on him as a general, as people just are to initially scared by himPosted in: Commander (EDH)
Mar 7, 2014The_Lonely_Wizard posted a message on Cards that are guaranteed to piss your friends off!i agree with raptor. in a casual playgroup, its just no fun. i mean, after all, wasn't EDH originally created to be a fun, casual format? i know people who i play casual EDH with who just infinite combo turn three and win, and its ******* annoying. if your playing casual EDH, your planning to hang out with friends w=for an hour and a half to two hours, sit down, eat some pizza, laugh, have a good time. but then turn three the animar player goes off and says " game over" and there is nothing anyone can do about it. that is just a dick move.Posted in: Magic General
Jan 21, 2014heres my listPosted in: New Card Discussion
( note that this is on a standard point of view. im pretty sure karemetra will be awesome in EDH.) also, these are just the gods compared to all of the other gods. in the right shell, all of these gods can be powehouses.
Jan 21, 2014Posted in: New Card DiscussionQuote from italofocaBut it's against the core of UB gameplay to play too many creatures. UB is not fast enough to win the game before a sweeper and it's creature quality is not high enough to shrug off a sweeper. All the advantages of UB lies in disruptive spells.
Phenax is a good but 100% unsupported card. People are annoyed because even for EDH, UB players are longing for another angle to build a deck but all they get is mill after mill card.
UB was my favorite two color combination for a long, long time. But it has been ignored over and over and over again to a point I barely read the UB spoils because I already know they will all suck. I mean, look at what UB gets, look at Rev/Supreme Verdict. It's obvious certain colors are getting all the toys - and it's only natural that people gets upset.
I agree bro. I love UB. But nope. Wizards doesn't like it
Jan 21, 2014Posted in: New Card DiscussionQuote from ThorasAlright guys, I've figured this out. Turn 5 win, assuming no removal during process, etc.:
Wall of Frost, Kiora's Follower, Phenax, on board.
Play Duskmantle Guildmage, activate first ability.
Tap Kiora's Follower, get U for Triton Tactics
Tap Wall of Frost, deal 7 damage.
Triton Tactics on Kiora's Follower and Wall of Frost.
Tap Wall of Frost, deal 10 damage.
Untap Wall of Frost with Kiora's Follower ability.
Tap Wall of Frost, deal 10 damage.
If for some reason they're still alive, tap with Phenax for another 7 damage.
A total of 34 damage.
Wow.... That's actually something I hadn't thought of
